Lester pulled the car in front of the Family Court and said, “Here we are.”
Lisa nodded and thanked him politely. Then she left the car and entered into the court with heavy steps. The weather was cold but her back was filled with cold sweat as she was very nervous.

In The Courtroom
Ted was sitting confidently with his lawyer. On the other hand, Lisa was extremely nervous. The judge arrived, everyone stood up and greeted him politely.
After everyone sat down, the hearing began. Both lawyers argued greatly and explained their side in most convincing tone. When everything looked to go in favor of Lisa Ted’s lawyer suddenly came up with one condition, He explained that Ted is willing to make a Fixed Deposit of two million lira for Simon’s well future. He never wanted to separate a son away from his mother, however financial support cannot be ignored so if his mother, Lisa Mathew was able to make a Fixed Deposit of two million lira on Simon’s name He would happily give up the custody of Simon as He is an angel though.
Lisa literally rolled her eyes when she heard Ted’s lawyer praised for him. Only she knew how big Bastard he is in real life.
After hearing to both parties, the Judge decided to give Lisa one month period time to make a Fixed Deposit or give up the custody to Ted. With that conclusion, the court hearing finished.
Outside the court, Lisa sat on the bench resting her head in her hands. She was extremely frustrated right now. She is Simon’s biological mother, why she can’t keep her son with her. Why does she had to fight and asked for someone’s approval.? Why?
“My offer is still valid, Lisa.!” When she was on the verge of crying a voice came from the front.
She looked up and it was as usual Ted. She really wanted to strangle him to death right now. “You..!” Lisa pointed at him.
Ted looked down and saw the bandage on her legs. He frowned and asked, “What happened to your leg?” He bent down and was going to touch her just then Lisa stood up immediately and walked away from him.
“Lisa..!” Ted called her and held her arm. Lisa slapped his hand away angrily. “Don’t touch me.”
“Okay I won’t. Just listen to me first.” Ted held his hands in the air and took two steps back. Lisa hugged her body with her arms and nodded.
“Lisa now as you can see, you have no choice. Accept my offer and spend this new year’s eve with me as beginning of our new life.”
Lisa’s eyes widened on his words. She looked at him in displeasure and said, “I still have one month Ted. Don’t be too over confident.”
“Over confident?” He chuckled and said, “No matter what you do you will not be able to get two million lira.” He paused and thought of something. “Don’t even think of black mailing me. I promise, you’ll regret it.” He held his head high with arrogance and passed by Lisa.
Lisa was confused by his words, she shouted from behind. “What do you mean?”
Ted walked away ignoring her words. Lisa looked at his back with confused look on her face she stood at that place motionless for a while. And then she walked out of the court with sad look on her face.
A Black Bentley stopped. Lester pressed down the window and said, “Come Miss Lisa. I’ll drop you home.”
Lisa got surprised looking him again. Didn’t he leave? She wanted to refuse him but she couldn’t afford to walk more her knees hurt badly. She walked forward and cautiously sat at the back seat. She then asked him, “Why you’re still here Lester.?”
“Boss’s order. He told me to bandage your wounds and drop you home safely.” Lester explained calmly.
“Ohh..” Lisa was out of words and she went in deep thoughts. Lester looked at Lisa, who was absent minded. He then said carefully, “Boss is not a bad person. He truly cares for you. That night, he missed his mother’s party just to surprise you at the bar.”
Lisa frowned slightly but kept her tone calm. “Thank you for telling me, Lester.”
Lester drove the car and the car went into silence. Lisa’s mind was diverted from Ted to Augustus, in office he was trying to insult her in front of Giovanna and now he had ordered Lester to drop her home safely.
Bella has told her that he is a good man and so as Lester. She couldn’t help but felt guilty that maybe because of her he is acting like this. She should once again try to explain him and calmed his anger. But how?
She was lost in her thoughts. Just then her cell phone rang. She took it out from her purse. It was an unknown number she thought for a while then answered.
“Hello.!”
“Lisa.! It’s me Grace Silas, Cristian’s sister.” The voice came from the another end.
“Yes.” Lisa said only one word, she knew Lester was listening her.
“Come to Holy Spirit Hospital. I want to talk about something to you.” Grace said anxiously.
“Okay” Lisa answered and hung up the call.
She looked at Lester. She knew if she asked him to take her to the hospital, he would definitely tell it to Augustus. Augustus should not know about it otherwise he would again misunderstand.
Lester stopped the car in front of her apartment building. She thanked Lester and got out of the car. She went inside her building and waited for Lester to go.
After 10 minutes, when she was sure that Lester had gone. She came out of the building, took taxi and went straight to the Holy Spirit Hospital.

At The Hospital
Lisa called Grace and Grace asked her to come to the canteen. Lisa was nervous that maybe Grace would be angry on her because she left Cristian that night and didn’t even call him once.
With heavy steps, she reached at the canteen and saw Grace. Grace was in casual clothes and she looked very tired. Lisa walked towards Grace step by step.
Grace looked at Lisa and stood up in disbelief. “Lisa, I thought you would never come.” She said.
“Hello Grace.” Lisa greeted her politely.
“Hello, sit down please.” Grace said.
“Lisa, Cristian was admitted here on Christmas eve’s night. I knew about what happened that night. Cristian told me everything.” Grace said slowly like she was afraid of something.
Lisa looked at her terrifying face and thought that maybe Augustus had threatened them or indirectly he had tried to scare them.
The next moment, she said apologetically, “Grace it was all my …..”
Before she could complete her sentence, Grace held her hand and said, “Thank you Lisa.”
Lisa was stunned. She looked at her and tears started falling from her eyes. “Thank you for bringing my brother back. It’s been three years. I was waiting for him. Finally, he is back.” She sobbed.
Lisa frowned and asked, “What do you mean?”
Grace wiped her eyes with her hands, and then said, “Three years ago, Cristian and his wife met an accident when they went to their honeymoon to Paris. He survived but his wife unfortunately died. After that, he started separating himself from every one. He was always happy, cheerful and hot headed person. But after that accident, he became too quiet. Never talk too much, never express his emotions, he kept everything just to himself not letting anyone close to him. But that night was the first time, that he asked me of you because he wanted to tell his feelings to you. Later, he got into fight but that was also a good sign though.”
She paused and looked at Lisa with hope. “Lisa, he had tolerated for a very long time, my father he cheated on my mother and my mother separated from him with us. She had struggled a lot to raise us and seeing his mother in pain Cristian never wanted to love. But one day he fell in love with a beautiful and noble lady, but unfortunately she was taken away from him. He was shattered and hated this Love thing a lot but now He has again started feeling that love just because of you, Lisa. Even if you have don’t feelings for him please try to convince him to come back to his normal life and let his wife soul Rest In Peace.” She pleaded Lisa.
Lisa was dumbfounded. Her throat was stuck she didn’t know what to say. The way she was describing Cristian’s personality she had never seen him quiet. He was always smiling and teasing her. Was it really because of her that he is trying to change himself.
“Lisa will you please help me to bring my brother back completely. Please Lisa, I beg you.” With that Grace kneeled down, in front of Lisa.
Everyone looked at Grace and then Lisa. Lisa felt embarrassed and quickly held Grace’s shoulder and said, “Okay…. okay I’ll help you. Please stand first.”
Grace smiled hearing her words and than hugged her unexpectedly Lisa frowned but she still hugged her back.
“Thank you Lisa thank you.” Grace kept thanking her happily.
