Chapter 35 – Mistakes.

Book:Mr. Bad Boy Saw Me Naked Published:2024-5-1

Ayato
Everyone makes mistakes. It’s in the human’s nature to make mistakes. No one is perfect or ever made to be perfect. Everyone has their acceptable amount of imperfections.
You don’t have to be angry for your mistakes. That needs to give you optimism and make you more ambitious and eager to solve your mistake.
But when someone pushed you in to make a mistake. A huge mistake, I tell you that you can’t hold your anger in.
That’s how I was feeling right now. Angry, raged and… a little bit upset.
Adaline’s cousin, Samantha, was kissing me. She came to talk to me, then when I wasn’t looking, she straight up kissed me. The nerve of her!
Her lips on mine felt tasteless. They felt gross. It’s disgusting, and really interesting how when I’m kissing-scratch that, when she’s kissing me, I don’t feel anything, but when I kissed Adaline- I don’t know what was with me. Adrenaline was flowing through my veins. I felt high.
But, with Samantha, I just can’t. I can’t think of her being with me. Us together. Us holding hands. Us… kissing.
When I was about to push her away from me, she leaned back, stopping her kiss.
She sighed, and ran a hand through her hair, not making eye contact with me. “Sorry, that was just- I-I-”
“You what?!” I interrupted her, furiously rubbing my lips with my hand.
“I-I-ugh…” She sighed, finally making eye contact with me. “It was a mistake. I’m sorry. You-You should go after her.”
I instantly stopped rubbing my mouth, furrowing my eyebrows. “What?
“Near the toilets. Hurry up.”
She said, then went away, passing by me. I was left standing here, dumbfounded. Her… her who?
Shaking my head, I shrugged, and began to walk away.
I don’t understand who?
Her…
Her…
Who was she talking about?
Her…

Adaline?
No, it can’t be…
Widening my eyes, I rushed to the toilets, dashing my way through the people on the beach.
Maybe Adaline saw us…
Shit. Shit. Shit.
I stopped when I arrived at the toilets, and put my hand on my knees, resting a little bit.
After I caught my breath, I snapped my head up, but there was no Adaline there, just a bunch of girls who were throwing me flirty looks.
So, Adaline didn’t see us.
I sighed.
Thank God.
I heard some giggles that made my attention snap in the direction where they were coming. The girls were biting their lips, giving me flirty and devilish smiles.
Should I…?
Yeah, I think I should. Just for fun.
I gave them a smirk, straightening up. After throwing them a wink, I left.
“Aah! He looked at us!” The girls squealed. I chuckled.

•Jemima’s P. O. V• (A/N: Surprises, surprises!!! xD)
I don’t know what happened and who made my sister cry, but I sure as hell will find out.
For goodness’s sake, in the matter of just one month my sister cried two times (I think), and I can see the way she’s acting around Tyler. Sometimes I wonder if not Tyler is the guy who broke her heart.
Goddammit.
If Addy would’ve just brought her boyfriend at home, then we would know who he is. But no, he didn’t want our parents to find out. At school, she was trying to hide her and her boyfriend every time they went to see each other. That’s also how it was when they were going on dates.
Goddamm her stubbornness.
The taxi arrived at the house, and the driver called us out snapping me out of my train of thoughts. “We’re here.”
“Oh,” I said quietly, and gave the driver his money. “Thank you for the ride.”
We got out of the car. The driver nodded his head at us, giving us a little smile, then he took off the road, leaving.
I looked around for Addy, and saw her going towards the house. I ran, catching up with her. When we entered the house, that’s when she began to cry.
I widened my eyes and hugged her. She hugged me back very tight.
“C’mon,” I whispered, getting out of the hug. I took her hand in mine, and squeezed it. “Let’s go upstairs.”
We went upstairs, and we sat down on the bed. Addy put her hands on her face, and cried.
I stood beside her and put my arms around her, engulfing her in a side hug.
When I’ll find the one who did this to her, I’ll kill him.
How do I know it’s a him? This also happened before, and it was because of a guy that I don’t even know his name.
The thing that shook me the most was that this was the third time it happened to her. She was crying because of a guy. I don’t know , but I had a feeling that Ayato was at fault this time. It was that feeling in your gut that told me Ayato is the one who made her cry this time. Call it a twin thing or whatever, but best friends or not I’ll still rip Ayato’s jewels off and hang them off a tower if he was the… culprit.
Ayato and I have been best friends since freshman year in high school when I saved him from some bullies. At that time, he was a small kid, with huge glasses on his nose and pimples on his face. Now, now he’s a full grown man, even if I don’t like to admit it.
Of course that we kept or friendship hidden because people would have picked up on him. Even now, when he’s popular, we’re keeping it a secret. We don’t want people to think we’re gonna be a couple and bug us out with that. When they saw us spending so much time together in school, the students began to become suspicious, so when he moved right beside me- that was the perfect opportunity: he would sneak into my house, people would’ve begun to gossip, rumors would get around and -boom!- it was just an “one night stand”.
I had to put an act when he came at the dinner at us so Addy wouldn’t get suspicious. It worked.
You’re getting off the subject here. Focus, Jem!
Addy’s sobs broke me out of my thoughts, making me hug her tighter.
“Shh,” I cooed in her ear, rocking us back and forth. I rubbed her back. “I’m here, I’m here.”
She gripped my arm that was holding her with her hands, and leaned her head on my shoulder, hiding her face in my neck.
Once her sobs stopped, she spoke her voice a little bit hoarse.
“Jemi-” She stopped and cleared her throat. Raising up her head, she leaned a little bit backwards and looked in my eyes. I loosened my hold on her. “Jemima, I have to tell you everything.”
I furrowed my eyebrows. “And by everything you mean…?”
“Everything.”
My eyes widened, and I resisted the urge to gasp. Not the best time, Jem.
I took a breath, and calmed myself down. My heart was beating fast with excitement and curiosity. I WAS GOING TO FIND WHO IS ADDY’S EX!
And then I could finally kill him…
Again, Jem. Not the right thoughts to be thinking of in these kind of moments.
I rubbed my sister’s back. “Okay. I’m here to listen.”
My sister sighed and gave out a choked laugh. “Long or short story?”
I chuckled. “Both.”
She gave out a tight smile. Sighing, she began to tell the story.
*** (after a million tears from Adaline and a billion death threats from Jemima—)
“So, let me get this straight. Tyler, as in Tyler Fucking Pretty Not So Pretty Anymore I Wanna Kill Him And Bitch-slap His Face Now Morris?” I clenched my jaw and gritted my teeth in anger. I don’t even know how I managed to say his new nickname so fast in the state I’m in.
For the first time in one hour or so, a little amused smile tugged at the corners of Addy’s lips. That’s when my heart stopped for a second, a smile covering my lips.
“Yes, Jem. That Tyler. I’m over it, so please, let him-”
“Don’t ask me to let him alone.”
“Please let him alone.”
I groaned and plopped myself down on my bed. I laid like that for a few minutes until my bedroom’s door opened.
“Hello, girls! Why did you l- Addy! Oh my God! What happened?!” I shot up from the bed like it burned me only to see Laila going towards Adaline. She hugged Addy. Juliet came inside, and gasped.
“What happened?!”
She went towards Addy, but was stopped by a voice.
“Wait,” Paula came inside, an annoyed expression on her face. “You know I always go in first. God! We had this talk so many times befo- What the hell happened to you?” Paula asked looking towards Addy. Laila was staying beside her, an arm around her shoulders.
Addy just furrowed her eyebrows, and eyed Paula from head to toe. I narrowed my eyes at her, and was about to speak, but she beat me at it.
“Let me guess. Was it Ayato?” Paula crossed her arms over her chest, huffing. Adaline’s jaw dropped, mine too.
“H-How did y-you eve-” Addy began to stutter, but Paula cut her off.
“Know?” She let out an amused huff. “Sweetie, don’t you think I didn’t go through this too?”
She didn’t wait for a response, I think our shocked expressions were the best answers.
“It happened in sophomore year. Short story: I was in love with Ayato. I confessed to him. He rejected me, then his best friend promised me to make him jealous. He called me to his house to teach me how to kiss. This lead to other things, and that’s when I lost my first time to him: Tyler.”
I widened my eyes, and almost choked on my saliva. She haven’t told me this.
I looked towards a wide-eyed Addy. She raised up from her seat on the bed and walked towards Paula.
“Tyler?” She whispered out. Paula nodded her head, an unfazed expression on her face.
“Yes. Why?”
“Sophomore year?”
Paula began to look a little bit annoyed. “Yes.”
“But- that’s when he- he-” Addy repeated her word, looking to the side.
“When he what?!” Paula asked, annoyed.
Addy snapped her eyes to her. “When he cheated on me with you.”
That’s when a shocked expression came across Paula’s face.
“B-But… he told me that he doesn’t have a-any girlfriend!”
That’s it! I’m gonna kill him!
By now, no one in the room was talking. We were looking back and forth between Addy and Paula, our mouth agaped.
“You didn’t know?!” Addy exclaimed.
“No!”
“I was his girlfriend!”
“I didn’t know! Believe me! I might be a ‘bitch’ , but I wouldn’t try and get between some people’s relationship!” Paula said, frantic.
Addy sighed and drew a hand through her hair.
“That’s why I don’t try and get between you and Ayato anymore.”
Addy’s eyes widened and she snapped her head at Paula. “We are not in a relationship!”
Paula nodded her head. “Yeah, but you two seem to like each other. By the way, he’s downstairs of you want to talk to him.”
I widened my eyes. “This is my cue to go!” I exclaimed, and walked -actually ran- out of the room and downstairs.
I passed by Finn who looked dumbfounded upon seeing me and my running. I just screamed towards him: “You don’t wanna get into our room!”
He widened his eyes, looking towards our room’s door. Gulping, he just stood there looking at the door.
I tried not to giggle at him, and with my eyes on him and with me climbing down the stairs, I almost fell. I closed my eyes, awaiting my death.
Too dramatic?
Yet, my death never came because a pair of strong arms caught me in time. I opened my eyes, and saw Ayato holding me. I narrowed my eyes at him, and slapped his cheek.
He immediately let go of me, making me fall.
“Ow!” I said, getting up off the floor. He was rubbing his cheek whilst glaring at me. I glared back.
“What the fuck, Jem?!” He shouted, angrily.
“Firstly, I have a boyfriend, and secondly, you deserve it for making my sister cry,” I huffed, and crossed my arms over my chest.
He stopped rubbing his cheek.
“What?”
“What you heard,” I said back.
He groaned. “Jem. What did I do this time?”
“You kissed Sam.”
His eyes widened. “How did you even find out?!”
“Addy saw you two when you were kissing,” My breathing was fastening , and my blood became to boil in my veins. I went to Ayato, and stood on my tip toes while glaring at him. I put my index finger on his chest and began to tap it.
“Best friends or not, I’ll kill you if you don’t give me a good explanation of what happened.”
Ayato sighed and caught my hand. “Samantha didn’t lie when she said that Addy saw us,” He muttered under his breath, then looked at me straight in the eyes, a sincere expression on his face. “Jem, I didn’t kiss Samantha.”
“Bullshit!” I screamed. I tried to rip my hand away from his grip, yet he was holding it tight , not letting it go.
“Jem! Listen to me! Samantha came and kiss me!”
“And you let her!”
“That’s not true!”
I stopped, and narrowed my eyes at him.
“Then tell me what happened!”
“I would if you would shut the hell up and let me explain!”
I pursed my lips, and gave him a nasty look. “Okay.”
He sighed. “So, while I was waiting for Addy, Samantha came at me and kissed me. Addy probably saw it, otherwise I don’t know why Samantha would’ve said ‘You should go after her’ , so I went after her at the toilets, but you two weren’t there. I just thought that she was lying so I left. But then you two also weren’t at the beach so I started to freak out. What if Samantha wasn’t lying. What if Addy really saw us? Would she get the wrong impression? Then we came back, and it seems like she saw us. And this is all.”
He finished leaving me with my mouth agape. I began squealing and jumping around. An annoyed expression set on his face while I began to hug him.
“Now we just have to get you two together!” I squealed. Ayato just laughed and wrapped his hands around me, returning the hug.
“J-Jemima?” A voice made us break apart. We looked up at the top of the stairs. There was standing a wide-eyed Finn. He looked sad and mad and…. it was heartbreaking watching him. He just blinked, and began to run away.
I looked towards Ayato then back at the stairs. I began to run after him.
“Finn! It’s not what it seems like!”
