Everything Will Be Okay, Baby
XANDRY
Our birthdays had always been a bash. Mom chose our grandma’s mansion as the venue, and instead of the usual party we did at Night Stalker since we turned twenty-one, it was different this time. Dad’s business partners, family friends, and relatives were invited and of course, Rexwell, Hugheses, and Kings. On my part, I invited Blaine’s family and friends.
Unfortunately, I and Dad barely talked these past few weeks other than he said he was glad that Sammer had finally been discharged from the hospital. So, as I tried to be a good son. I respected his silence and stayed away from trouble as much as possible.
I had been talking to Rexwell if he could offer me a job after this party and he was willing to help. Dad was supposed to announce my position tonight, or maybe he had another plan on humiliating me in front of our guests, or finally, he decided to give me a seat in his company, otherwise, I had to sell something, and take the money, my sister, she offered to start my own business.
The Mansion filled with excitement, besides the overwhelming decorations, the classical music played by the chamber orchestra, the expensive Champagnes, five-star buffet, and the high-class my parents had invited, and the people I loved were around still, I thought I could pee in my pants of the nervousness I felt the moment I stepped inside the mansion.
Blaine noticed my tension, but her being in my arms had helped me a lot. Last week, I informed her what could possibly happen tonight and she just chuckled and ignored my words, as if she was telling me ‘you’re going to be just fine.’
The lights from the chandelier suddenly blinded me, and the people around stopped like someone had switched them off.
Blaine’s hand tightened around my arm. “I think I’m gonna die tonight before this party ends.” The nervousness in her voice thickened.
I plastered a fake smile and waved to the guests like I was a mayoral candidate. “Relax, sweetheart, no matter what happens tonight, you’re not gonna leave me, right?”
“Oh, shut up, pretty boy, it’s your birthday. One thing I can assure you is you’ll end up hot, sweaty, and catching your breath at the end of the night.” She promised me with a squeeze, and with that, I was relieved.
“Happy birthday, honey!” My mother approached us. And as if on cue Blaine loosened her hand around my arm. Mom kissed my cheek, then her eyes twinkled when she saw the woman with me for the first time and smiled brightly at her. “Blaine, glad to finally meet you! Xandry hid you long enough from me for weeks.” She pulled Blaine into a hug.
“Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Williams.”
“Just Sam, dear.”
“Sam.”
“I’m glad you came and my husband didn’t succeed scaring you away.”
“And I’m glad I made the right decisions,” Blaine replied proudly. I should really make her scream tonight.
“Thank you for making my son so happy, Blaine. I can see now why my son defied his father.” Squeezing Blaine’s hand.
“You have no idea how much your son makes me happy too, Sam.”
“I have many ideas, dear. I definitely saw the sparks between you two when you arrived. It screamed love and sex.”
“Mom,” I warned with a groan.
“Oh, we’ve been there once, so I know exactly how it feels, honey. Nothing to be ashamed of.” She laughed lightly, and Blaine’s face was covered with a blush.
“I’m not, but now, you might succeed in scaring her away.”
“Just admit it, Xandry. Your mom is actually right. Remember what I promised you earlier?” Blaine teased and barely holding on to burst into laughter.
My eyes widened to her sudden boldness. I closed my gaping mouth and processed what she just said in front of my mother.
Mom’s arm already snaked around Blaine’s waist like they had not just met a moment ago.
“See? You really should read my book—”
“Mom,” I warned. Again.
“Book?”
“It’s an erotic romance, honey,” Mom whispered.
A red-tinged on Blaine’s cheeks made me shake my head in amusement.
My eyes landed on Ben with Blaine’s family. Finley cleaned damn well in a black suit and tie. I’m glad Blaine’s best friends Charlie and Olive made to be here tonight. But no matter how much I wanted to bring Sammer with us, she was with her mom. Sunshine returned the invitation with an RSVP. She said that was not her thing no matter how hard we convinced her. She just wanted to spend some quality time with Sammer. The planned party for Sammer was on hold due to my birthday party with Saph.
“Mom, let’s go and meet—”
“Oh, my God! Gabby?” Mom strode towards Blaine’s family not caring for our guests and the Sapphire blue dress she wore. It was kind of fitted on her figure and the high slit almost revealed her upper thighs. She hugged Miranda tightly like a long-lost family.
“It’s a long story,” Blaine murmured.
“You knew something and you didn’t tell me?”
“Oh, shut up, pretty boy. It’s not my story to tell.”
“You haven’t learned, huh?”
She moved closer and whispered, “If I got orgasms why would I?”
“I can give you in one of these rooms, sweetheart. Just say a word.”
“I’m not gonna ruin my dress and makeup.”
“You look damn gorgeous, my sweet Blaine.” I strolled my gaze from head to toe. I was dumbstruck by how she looked so ravishing tonight.
“You’ve said that for like nth times, Xandry.”
Her hair was pulled up with a few curls that fell stylishly. Some gold shimmery eyeshadow was applied on, making her teal blue eyes stand out. Her blood-red lips were hard to ignore as well, and I promised to clean them with a hard and punishing kiss after the party. She wore the pair of diamond teardrop earrings I bought for her with the dress last week.
She and Saph chose the floor-length red dress with a long V-neck cut that showed most of what gave me a steel-like hard-on. This was going to be a hard and long night in controlling myself from ripping the dress off of her body and fuck her hard till I lost my goddamn strength.
Rough, slow, then hard and slow again. Just the way she liked it.
It didn’t meet my taste, not because it wasn’t perfect for her, but her back was bare. Her ass only with black thong could catch every male’s attention at this party. And that made me want to throw knives at every male guest we had. Only a thin rope with Swarovski that kept her dress on her body.
“Happy birthday, son!” Bob hugged and patted my back.
“Thank you, Bob. I’m glad you’re all here.”
“You look rich and famous in a tux, bro,” Finley said.
“And you look like a mayor in your suit, man,” I replied.
The light turned dim and the music changed. Saph in a black sophisticated floor-length dress walked toward us. “Can I borrow my brother?”
“As long as you’ll return him back to me,” Blaine answered quickly.
“Dance with you later, sweetheart.” I kissed her on the cheek.
“Go and break a leg.”
Most of the guests danced along to classical music playing. And I watched Bob and Blaine danced as well. But Dad had nowhere to find.
A moment later, we exchanged partners, and Blaine was in my arms. “This is the best birthday I’ve ever had, Blaine. This time I have the priceless gift in my arms.” My heart started to beat faster as I watched Blaine smile at me. A smile that made me swoon. These past days were perfect. My life with her was the happiest I’ve had.
“You’re so cheesy.” She wrinkled her nose.
“Like I care as long as I make you smile, give you orgasms, make you scream, so I can be cheesy as I wanna be.”
“You forget you make me the happiest woman on earth too, Xandry.”
“Now my cheesiness is contagious, but the feeling is mutual, sweetheart. I love—”
The mic squealed, the music stopped, everyone stood silent, and my heart thundered. My chest and throat constricted, making my tux tighten. And I wanted to rip it off from me. Sweat formed on my forehead, my skin tingled, and my hands trembled with sudden feelings I hadn’t felt before.
“Everything will be okay, baby.” Blaine squeezed my hand. “Breath.”
I nodded and closed my eyes, releasing all the negative thoughts out of my mind.
“Good evening, everyone!” Dad’s voice echoed in the entire mansion. He seemed relaxed, but I’d seen him a hundred times during meetings and on many occasions and I knew how he could be calmer in front of people.
“Thank you all for coming to celebrate my loving and wonderful twins’ birthday! Alexander Henry and Saphoera Hannabelle are the most precious gift I and my wife we ever have. They are worth more than anything in this world to us and for the past twenty-three years, they served as our light, our inspirations, and the center of our world,” Dad paused and his gaze landed on me.
“You both have grown up into more than what we imagined that every parent wished their children wanted to be. We love you both with all our hearts and souls, my children. Happy birthday to Xandry and Saph!” Dad raised the champagne glass and everyone followed. I raised and sipped mine and didn’t even remember how I had it.
Wait, he was not going to say something other than that? Did he change his mind?
He didn’t move though, then he spoke again. “As a father, I want to give everything to my children. I want them to have everything this world can offer. Xandry, you’ve proven to me what you’ve got, son.”Why do I feel there is a but coming?
Suddenly, my world spun around me. I could hear the pulse in my ears. Something inside me quivered. Then, someone caught my eyes at the corner of the ballroom floor—Harrett Hirington. My brows met together when she raised her flute to me.
What the fuck is she doing here? Of course, a close family friend.
“As your dad, you make me proud, so proud that after what changes your life lately, you still stand for what you believe.”
Me, being a father was not a secret to everyone anymore. “You deserve whatever you have accomplished, but—”
And that was when my world fell apart like a fucking Domino. Despite that, I felt hands squeezing mine tightly. My ears rang, and I wanted to scream for him to stop so I could run away.
Murmurs erupted around the crowd, and I couldn’t handle any more humiliation than I thought I was ready for. Pairs of eyes pinned on me. Those were pity and judging.
I shifted my gaze back to the stage where Dad still stood proud and tall. To my surprise, I saw something in his eyes.
