Noelle?
BLAINE
My heart accelerated and I was worried I might pass out. I just stared at him with wide eyes. His eyes glowed when he said the five words earlier.
“Y-you l-love me?” I asked in disbelief.
“You heard it right.” He loosened his grip on my waist, completely releasing me from his arms. He stepped backward and ran his fingers through his hair, then propped his hands on his hips.
“I-I just wanna hear it again, you know.” I shrugged and looked down, licking my swollen lips that his taste was still on them.
The tension suddenly thickened when he didn’t talk. I lifted my gaze and that was when I saw him grinning with eyes filled with humor and love.
He stepped closer, cupping my face. “I love you, Blaine Noelle Harris. So much. I’ll make sure to tell you this every day until you believe me, and I’m going to make you feel it too. I love you since I rushed to see you and press you against the wall of the barn.” He traced his thumb on my lower lip with his gaze still meeting mine. “I love you, sweetheart.”
I looked up to hold the tears forming in my eyes. Closing my eyes, I pressed my lips to his, and he kissed me softly. Then I opened my heart to him. “I love you, Xandry.”
He pulled me into a hug, then kissed the top of my head. “You love me beyond all my faults, Blaine. You never gave up no matter what you heard about me. I thought my life fell apart when you broke up with me, but I stayed strong for the sake of Sammer. And I knew for a fact that it was not over. We are not over.”
I looked up to meet his gaze again. “You didn’t judge me either, pretty boy. Honestly, I was so scared to trust my heart with someone again, but I can’t just stop myself from wanting you, needing you, and thinking about you every single day.”
“What can I say, I’m irresistible.”
I slapped his chest that made him chuckle.
“We crossed the bridge, sweetheart, and that brings us here together. Thank you for being near to me. It means a lot. Why don’t you and Ben stay here with me instead?”
“Are you crazy? I have an apartment, Xandry.” I opened his double door built-in fridge. “Wow! What do you have here? Is it always like this?” I ended up grabbing a diet soda which I didn’t know what I should pick. His fridge was filled with beverages, energy drinks, dairy products, and his weekly meal prep.
“I paid someone to do the grocery for me.”
“Wow, rich guy! Have you been to a grocery store, pretty boy?”
He slapped my rear, making me jump. “Stop calling me pretty boy. I’m okay with just baby.”
“I’m hungry though. Can you at least feed me?” I gulped the soda and walked past him.
“Sweetheart, that will upset your stomach. Let’s order dinner then. It will take time to cook unless you want some sandwiches. What does Ben usually eat at dinner?”
“We can have pizza. He can eat anything light.”
“I’ll order us pizza, then.” He grabbed my wrist. “Sweetheart.”
“Yeah.” I faced him, brows furrowed when he seemed uneasy.
“I want to tell Ben that we are together. Is that okay with you?”
My heart raced. “Of course.”You have no idea how does it mean to me.”He’s a smart kid, though I never introduced any guy to Ben, he likes you already, Xandry, so stop fidgeting.” I squeezed his hand.
“Glad you didn’t introduce Ethan to him.”
“No, not yet. I told him he was my friend in high school, and Ethan was fine with that.”
“I’m kinda nervous, I love Ben, I want him to understand what’s going on between us and I don’t want to lie to him.”
“I’m glad you still consider telling him this. It means a lot to me.” I couldn’t help but hug him tightly when he always thought of Ben’s feelings in all of these. How could I be so lucky to have Xandry in my life? He’d nothing but so supportive and considerate, and it had been proven to me that I made the right choice this time.
“I want him to like me, love me, and treat me as you know… I hope… I’m… I want to—”
I rolled my eyes as I watched Xandry stammered. “He’s gonna love Sammer.”
***
Xandry suggested putting Ben to bed, and I was standing outside the room waiting for my son to sleep. After Xandry told him the story about the brave knight, Ben asked something that made my chest clutch in surprise. “Why did you kiss Mommy?”
And I swore, I heard Xandry gasped. He then cleared his throat and asked carefully. “How did you know?”
“I was calling Mommy, but she didn’t answer. So, I walked to the kitchen and I saw you kissing her.” His voice was soft and calm, making me release the breath I was holding while waiting for my son to answer.
“Do you know what… um, boyfriend means?”
I bit my lip, waiting patiently at them. Ben must have shaken his head.
“Boyfriend means, um, someone likes the girl dearly, so—”
“So you like Mommy?” I could feel Ben’s eyes wandering at Xandry.
“Yes, I like your mom,” he answered quickly, “I like your mom so much. I love her, buddy.”
“I like you too, Xandry,” Ben replied eagerly. “I love you too, you and Mommy.”
My hand was instantly on my mouth to stop from bursting. My tears fell down my eyes as I dragged myself down to the floor. This time not with sadness, it was with so much relief and happiness.
“I love you too, buddy.”
“Um, one more thing. Is it okay if I will bring someone home? And I’d like you to meet her, buddy.”
“Your baby girl?”
“Yes, that’s her.”
“Okay.”
I stood up and wiped my tears when I heard him said, “Now, time to sleep.”
I stayed on the couch for a while as a feeling of weightlessness surrounding me, until I heard light footsteps approaching. Xandry’s hands gripped and massaged my shoulders.
“Aren’t you damn perfect? Let me guess, it went well.” I threw my head back to look at him. And this should be a sin for him to be so hot daddy.
He pressed his lips to me, and I instantly kissed him.
“Let’s go to bed, sweetheart, and let me show you how perfect I am.” He smiled wickedly, offering his hand.
I stood up, throwing myself into him. He caught me, lifting me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist. This is going to be a long night.
“I want you,” I told him as he rocked my hips on his bulge, straining against his sweatpants.
“You have me, and I want you more than you want me. Kissing you, touching you, fucking you, loving you, making you feel good until we both lose our damn mind and collapse barely breathing,” he assured me before he dove his tongue inside my mouth, making me moan desperately.
***
I woke up with a hand caressing my thigh and the soft voice of Xandry. I assumed he was talking to someone over the phone. I tightened my arm and legs around him.
“Jesus, Saph, let her take some rest. She has an apartment to fix today.”And I’m sore because of what we did last night.
A small smile curved on my lips when I remembered what we did in his kitchen. We ended up hungry and had another round before we could start to dig our food.
“I know, but she’s fully booked—”
“Don’t you dare— She’s with me all day, Saph—Shit!” he groaned. “I’m gonna tell her, okay? No, not now, this is so important to me, little sister.”
“Bye, Saph,” he groaned again. “No. Bye.”
“You’re hard,” I said as I traveled down south. He hissed and grew harder as I started rubbing the top of his crown. His breathing went unsteady and grunted as he moved his hips to follow the rhythm of my hand.
“I can get used to this, waking up with your hands all over me, on my cock—” His voice went raspy and thick. “Fuck! That feels good, Blaine.” His hand moved between my thighs and stopped where he intended to be and slipped his fingers inside my already wet heat. Then he lied down on his back as I continued stroking him.
“Come on top and ride me, sweetheart.”
***
“Blaine, I want to invite your family to my birthday party next month,” Xandry said as we stopped at an empty bench in the park. He decided to bring Ben here after we went to see Sammer. It was good news when she hadn’t had apnoea anymore and her body temperature adjusted quite fast to the environment.
I sat down. Xandry followed as I watched the families walked through the small bridge above the pond where fake flamingos stood tall. Vendors scattered with toys and balloons.
“Blaine, wait here, and I want your answer when we get back. I’ll buy something for Ben.” He stood up and grabbed Ben’s hand. “Come with me, buddy.”
I watched them as they walked away. My heart melted watching them walking together as if they were father and son. Ben was jumping in excitement at what Xandry had told him.
I was interrupted by the ringing of my phone and it was from an unknown number.
“Noelle?”
My stomach suddenly twisted. I looked around like some sick paranoid, searching for Ethan.
“What do you want?” I asked firmly as the anger pricked my skin. They said not to ask when you were not ready to hear the answer because I knew exactly why he was calling.
“I’m not calling to make any trouble, Noelle. Just hear me out, please?”Please? Wow! He seemed calm compared to how he threatened me back there.
“You have a minute to talk.”
“I want to see Ben.”
“No, you won’t!” I gritted my teeth. My hand trembled as I gripped my phone pressing against my ear.
“Please, Noelle. I’m not gonna make trouble. I’ll do whatever you want and I won’t break any rules, I promise. If I ever did, you can ask for a restraining order. You don’t have to tell him I am his father. All I want is to see him. I swear I won’t cross the line. You stay with us all the time. I already made mistakes, Noelle, and I won’t do another next time, please?”
“We already move to New York, Ethan.”
“That’s good. I found a job here as well. Please consider my request.”
“I’m going to talk with Xandry about this first.”
“Sure. I’ll call you again.”
“No, wait for my call.” I ended the call when I saw Ben and Xandry approaching.
To my surprise, I wasn’t scared after talking to Ethan, in fact, I felt relieved. I took a deep breath and smiled at the gorgeous guys of my life.
“You okay, sweetheart?” Xandry sat beside me, gripping my thigh. Ben played with his kite like the other kids around. The weather was windy and I could smell the earth and leaves in the air.
“Ethan called.”
“What the fuck does he want from you?” Xandry hissed for Ben not able to hear him.
“Calm down, pretty boy.” I smiled. For the first time, I didn’t feel bothered talking about Ethan and Ben’s connection.
“What does he want?”
I told him everything I talked about with Ethan earlier.
“Ask your parents if they’re okay with this. If they agreed then you can meet him, but you will go with the driver and he will stay beside you and Ben all the time. I don’t trust him whether he is Ben’s father or not.”
“Okay. Now chill out—”
“Don’t pretty boy me again or you might wanna see your pretty ass with my handprint on it.”
“I’m so threatened.”
“We’ll see. Should I leave my teeth marked on that gorgeous ass instead?”
“Whatever, pretty boy.”
