Silence ensued after Rosy answered.
Pete – You don’t mean this guy, do you? (points at Jack)
Rosy nodded her head while subconsciously looking at William. She bit her lips, looking at his complicated expression.
Peter – You and You. How?
Tris – That’s gross.
Ella – Why?
Leena – Now, I’m so happy.
Rosy and Jack – Shut up.
Bella – How was it?
Rosy – Disgusting. Jack – Like incest. (answer at the same time)
Rosy and Jack – We both threw up right after.
William finally released the breath he did not know he was holding.
Amy – Why?
Rosy – We were drunk. And it’s all of you guys.
Tris – What the hell? What did we do?
Jack – You guys kept teasing us saying we were a perfect match and all that. It went on for years. We got confused after hearing it repeatedly for years on end.
Rosy – So, somehow we thought, why not try. Worst decision ever!!!
Jack – We could not see each other for a month after that without wanting to throw up.
Rosy – I have not dared to kiss anyone since then.
That made William smile.
Leena – Jack and I almost permanently broke up because of his phobia of kissing.
Ella – Hahahahaha
Evelyn – That is hilarious. Hahahahaha
Everyone soon joined the laughter. Except for Rosy, Jack, Will, and Leena.
Rosy – It’s not funny.
Jack – Don’t ever bring it up again because I’m feeling nauseous again.
Rosy – Me too.
William passed lemonade to Rosy as soon as she said it, making her heart swell.
Leena – And before you ask, that was also the thing we were talking about earlier.
Jack – You should all swear on our brotherhood to never bring it up again.
Rosy – (nods vigorously) Yes, agreed.
Leena – I’m actually genuinely scared you guys will bring it up at our wedding and ruin the whole thing.
Jack – Let’s not invite any of them to our wedding. It’s bad luck to throw up during the wedding kiss.
Pete – Hahahaha. You are so scared.
Jack – Try kissing your sister and you’ll know. (shakes off goosebumps)
Rosy – Spin it already, or I might really throw up again.
Leena – I’m so glad it’s out in the open though.
Rosy – I knew you held a grudge about that.
Leena – You are so ungrateful. I’m saving your relationship. Otherwise, he might run away like I almost did.
(rolls her eyes)
Jack – Just spin it already.
While they continued to dig into each other’s secrets and embarrassing events, William received a notification on his phone.
“Fish in the pond!”
William whispered something to Rosy and they both excused themselves amidst eye-rolls and whistles.
“Now what?” William asked.
“I’ll go out first, you follow me behind and wait for me. I need to use the restroom for real. Will figure something out when we are there.”
“Alright, go ahead then. I’ll wait up somewhere not overtly conspicuous.”
Five minutes later, as Rosy made her way back to their private room, she saw Will and asked flirtatiously.
“Did you follow me here?”
“I just happened to pass by,” Will smirked, making Rosy roll her eyes.
“Well, pass by then.” Rosy stuck her tongue out as she tried to move past him.
William grabbed her by the waist and pushed her to the wall, trapping her with his body.
