Too dull

“You asked.”

“How do you like it?”

“Don’t mean to blow my own trumpets, but in a way, it has helped me understand what the designers wanted the buildings to look like, so I try to incorporate that while doing interiors based on my gut feeling. Most of the time, I’m completely off my base though.”

“That’s nice!”

“What about you?”

“I like creating things. It started off with software and games when I was still in school. Then one time, I lost a bet with Evan and was tasked to build a dog house for him.

As in designing it and building it all by myself from scratch. I surprisingly enjoyed it quite a lot. So, I started to note the designs and would draft something in my leisure time. When it came to choosing a major, I chose both, since I was already interested in both.”

“You have been designing software since you were in school?”

“Actually I loved playing video games. But somehow I thought it would be more fun if I messed with the design a bit or added on software to help improve speed or things like that.

It was quite difficult, so I ended up learning a lot. Then I suddenly thought about how it’d be like to create games of my own. I mean adding bits that I like. Not including anything that I thought was stupid.

One thing led to another and I did not even realize when I had begun to spend a great deal of my time designing things, or even writing algorithms in the class. And playing games kind of ended up becoming something I did as a group activity only.”

“You are a genius then. Those child prodigies I hear about.”

“Not really. I like a few things and I’m good at it, or at least I try to be. Anything I’m not interested in I suck big time.”

“Hahaha” “That would be quite boring if you were good at everything.”

“Huh? This is the first time I’m hearing something like that.”

“What? Wouldn’t you be too dull if you knew everything? You would be busy too.”

“Alright. If you say so.”

“…”

“What do you like?”

“I like designing. I like eating, sleeping, cleaning, traveling.”

“Cleaning?”

“Yeah. I don’t understand that either. Cleaning my house or room just makes me so happy. I don’t get it either.”

“That’s a useful hobby to have I guess.”

“What about you?”

“Guess”

“Umm” “Let me think.” “You probably like sports.”

“Hey, that’s easy. Military schools have half of the courses in sports and training.”

“But I got one. Your turn.”

“OH” “I did not realize it was a game.”

“It won’t be if you accept the loss.”

“Cunning!” “You like trekking.”

“That comes under traveling.”

“I think it still counts.”

“How did you get that?”

“Noticed when we were climbing down Apex hill.”

Clicks tongue.
