Rosaline woke up to the sound of the doorbell and dragged herself groggily to check who was there through the peephole.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Who wakes up this early?” Rosaline shouted as soon as she opened the door to a stunned William.
“Good afternoon to you too.”
“Huh?”
“It’s 1 pm already, sleepyhead,” William said as he knocked on her forehead.
“Annoying!” Rosaline murmured as she led him to the living room.
William’s mouth twitched as she directly jumped on the sofa and continued to sleep, forgetting him completely.
He sat on the ground on the sofa as he examined her. She looked so adorable and so damn kissable in her half-awake state. He held down his impulse, leaned in, and blew on her ear, neck, and face until she couldn’t take the itch anymore and woke up with an alarm.
“Now you are awake.” William snickered.
Rosaline was speechless. She scratched her hair to make sense of what happened while William handed her a glass of warm water.
She took it reflectively and gulped the entire glass down finally coming to her senses. She stared at William for a full minute before she cursed.
“Fuck!”
“…”
“Make yourself at home. I’ll freshen up first.”
15 minutes later, Rosaline tried to wake Tessa up and came to the living room to join William who was busy doing something on his iPad.
“Hey,” Rosaline said awkwardly, trying to not blush thinking of how closely they had danced the previous night and how he had just woken her up.
“Awake yet?”
“Hmm”
“Hungry?”
“Ya”
“Brunch should be here in a few minutes.”
“Thanks”
“You look quite adorable half asleep with messed up hair.”
“Excuse me.”
“Forget it, if you didn’t hear it.”
“Why are you here so early?”
“I was not early.”
“Whatever, it was still early.”
“Alright.”
“Why are you here?”
William slowly realized that although she looked awake and refreshed, she was still out of it.
“I’ll leave after brunch. What are your plans?”
“Sleep” Rosaline’s grin was a little too wide.
“…”
Before William could make sense of Rosaline, the doorbell rang and the food arrived.
“Wow,” Rosaline was visibly drooling.
“Drink this first.” William handed her a cup of fresh coconut water.
“Okay,” Rosaline gulped it in, still eyeing the shrimps and lobsters.
“I guess you like seafood.”
“Not just any seafood. This is from ‘The Notorious Nemo’. It’s always fully reserved a month early. How did you even get them to send takeaway? You must be loaded.” Rosaline piped in still eyeing the lobsters.
“Just eat.”
Rosaline did not need further encouragement and started to eat like she had been starved for days. Looking at the quantity of food she was gulping and the speed, William suddenly remembered she had indeed eaten quite a lot previous times as well.
‘How can she be so petite, when she practically eats like a pig? I bet she eats almost as much as I do, if not more, and I’m half a foot taller than her and twice as wide.’ William was dumbfounded.
5 minutes later, Tessa came out still in her pajamas and messed up hair and started eating with relish without even realizing William was there.
‘Now, I know why they are so close.’ William thought wondering if the food will be enough. ‘Thank God, I ordered extra in case there are more people in the house.’
