School ended for the day and I walked home with delvin while explaining what happened today to rita.

I woke up to the sound of the door opening, I couldn’t see the figure that entered the room because I was very tired and my head was aching me.
I stood up with all the strength I had, and saw it was my mum entering the room.

“How are you doing?” Mum asked sitting at the edge of the bed.

“Fine, I met Mrs Raphael Ideh today at the market…”, mum said.

“I begged her to allow me come back to my work, but she disagreed after much begging she only agreed for you to come work for her”
“What?” I looked at my her like she has suddenly grown horns on her head
“No! No ma! I’m not going there! That will never be possible” I said vehemently.
I rather die of hunger here than go back to that house.
“Maid in Lexy house? God forbid” I said within myself angrily.
“What’s wrong?” Mum asked with concerned, when she saw how furious I was.
