CRAIG’S P. O. V. (While Victor and Olivia talked)
I step out of the room in search of her doctor. When I head to the nurses station I am confronted by the most cantankerous woman that I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. “I need to speak to the doctor taking care of room 312.”
“I need a lot of things too. Patience being one of them. The doctor for that room will be around shortly.”
“I would like to speak to him now.”
“Well, she is busy right now.” She glares at me, Me of all people.
“Too busy to take a minute I highly doubt that. Page her.”
“Do I look like I work for you?”
“Do you know who I am?”
“Not really caring, here in this station I make the rules. I am the head nurse, I say you are going to wait until the doctor gets to you unless it is an emergency.”
“Then I have no choice but to go over your head.” I pull out my phone and call the Chief Director of the hospital. When he picks up I act like it is no big deal, but I ask it like it’s a favor. “Hey Paul, it’s Craig. Hey so listen I am down here with my daughter in room 312 and your head nurse here, it looks like her name is Janet. Anyway, I am trying to page the doctor to talk to her about my daughter and Janet here won’t page her.”
“Really, I will page her and I will have a talk with Janet later on. Craig, I didn’t know you had a daughter.”
“Actually she is mated to my son, so.”
“Oh, I see. Alright I will have the doctor meet you at the nurses station. I will see you later at training.”
“Alright see ya Paul.”
I click the phone shut and smile at Janet. She glares at me, then we hear overhead the doctor being paged. “Well, look at that, the doctor can be paged.”
“Surprise, Surprise, you’re someone of privilege. Throwing his weight around. Good for you.” Janet glares at me like I just caused a natural disaster.
“What is your problem?”
“She is an Omega, she doesn’t need special treatment.”
“She is the future Luna of Blue River Pack. I would show her some respect if I was you.” I glare at her, then to the right the doctor arrives. “Finally. I want to talk to you about my daughter. She is wanting to get out of bed. She says her pain level is really low. She is feeling confined to the bed. After what happened to her you can understand her need to want to get out of bed.”
“Absolutely. She has been showing great progress. I was looking at her paperwork this morning. I would say that she can get up and hopefully we can send her home tomorrow morning. I will have a nurse come in and remove the IV and then she can start getting up and moving around. Maybe even get a shower and some regular clothes, I am sure that she would like that.” The doctor actually gives me a smile.
“Thank you so much. Please just don’t send this nurse. I am not too fond of her bedside manor. Or her regard for my daughter’s rank. She is a future Luna and should be treated as such.”
“She will be treated right. I will have Charlotte come and take the IV out. She is great with people.” She smiled at me. “Thank you Alpha Craig and I will talk to you or your son later about the discharge orders.”
“Thank you for taking the time doctor. I appreciate it. I will wait in the room for the nurse.” I turned and glared at the nurse, she now has a dumb stuck look on her face. I can tell she didn’t know I was Alpha, but she still should not have treated me like crap, even if I wasn’t the Alpha. In regards to my daughter she should have thought better of her. I will make damn sure that everyone does.
I head back into the room and wait for the nurse. There I am greeted by a beautiful sight.
