BENJAMIN’S P. O. V.
We aren’t doing enough. We are just standing around. We need to find her. Victor knows something he isn’t telling us, I know it. There is no way that he can not know what the hell the psycho did with her. I glare at Victor as he flips through some books.
“Don’t glare at me Beta. I want to find her too. We need to find some sort of clue. Right now we have nothing. I have contacted all the other Alpha’s about doing a grid search. Our guards have found no sign of her. I have even contacted the elders to see if they have found anything. No one has seen her. This is our only option. So instead of glaring at me, start looking. If anyone isn’t doing enough it’s you.” Victor growls at me.
Like he has a right. His wolf did this. I start looking through some papers on his desk. Then something occurs to me. “Was he doing some sort of report on the College?”
“Not that I know of, Why?” Victor answers as he comes over to see what I have found.
“There are a lot of notes here on the college foundation and the borders set for it. There are even original blueprints here.”
“We took almost all the same classes. There is no way that this was for class.” Victor scrutinized the papers.
“How is this going to help us?” Peter questions as he takes a look.
“I think I just found where he is hiding her. Right here it is out lined. There is an old bunker that was designed to hide pack members during an attack, it hasn’t been used in years because now packs have their own hiding spots. This has to be where he is keeping her. That’s why none of the packs can find her on their lands. He isn’t there. He is in the communal land in the middle.” I keep looking through the papers trying to find the location of the bunker.
“Where is it?” Peter asks, sifting through papers too.
“It has to be down by the basement. He would sneak down there sometimes with she-wolves. That has to be the place.” Victor heads for the door. Not even seeing if we are coming.
Peter grumbles. “At least we have a lead.” Peter and I ran after him.
Finally no more sitting around. I want to kill the piece of shit.
VICTOR’S P. O. V.
That Beta better stop glaring at me like I am the one that took her. I am more pissed that she is taken by the piece of shit than him. I should have known that asshole was unstable. When he saw me kiss her earlier, I should have stopped him and set him straight. I need to see her again. She can’t be gone. I need her. I should never have listened to my father. I would have had her by my side always if I had just done what I wanted.
I have known her my whole life. She is like my other half, even though I know she isn’t my mate. My mate was a vindictive bitch who tried to kill my father to make herself Luna faster. I am glad that bitch is dead. It hurt at the time, but with Olivia I don’t feel the pain. I feel connected to Olivia like I have never been with anyone else. I need her, and having this Beta blame me is driving me insane. He is going to make me release my wolf on him if he doesn’t knock off his shit.
Now that we have a lead on where she might be. I feel compelled to her. I don’t even care if the other two follow. I just need to find her.
I skid into the parking lot of the college. I can’t even think straight I should have told the elders to come and check the place out since they were probably closer. I just can’t think of anything but getting to her. I can tell those two are beside me but I don’t care. I ran full fledged to the basement door. I didn’t even pause for the doors. I am just breaking them down as I go.
We are getting close. I can feel it. I smell her scent again, it is faint but it is here.
I see the door that leads to the bunker. It is partially buried behind some old shelves, but Hector has moved them enough to be able to get in the door. We pause at the door. Now is the time to take stealth. If we do something wrong he could kill her. I am not going to underestimate his craziness again. He will kill her to keep anyone else from having her.
We open the door slowly trying to keep as quiet as possible. As soon as the door opens I am in a rage. I can smell her blood. I can tell that they do too. It is taking me everything that I have not to shift and take down this whole place. She better still be alive or he will suffer to no end.
We glide in trying not to give away our position. We need to attack him before he can get behind her. As I turn around the end of the hall, I can see we are too late. He is standing next to her with a hunter’s dagger positioned right over her chest.
“You all need to leave now. I have what is mine. You three are shit out of luck. I will kill her before I hand her over.” The anger in his voice is unmistakable.
I look her over and blood is already dripping from her stomach. She appears to be alive, just unconscious. Without being able to mind link with these two I have to do my best to use body language to get the point across what we need to do. We spread out around the room. Peter decides that he is going to take charge.
“Hector, we are not going to take her from you. We just wanted to make sure she is alright. We know that she is your mate. We won’t challenge the mate bond.” He is lying like a rug. He has his hands up in a surrender position. I can tell that he can flip to the point where Hector is on his back in a second, he is just waiting for an opening.
“How stupid do you think I am? I could smell all three of you all over her. You all thought that you could take what was mine. You all tried to confuse her and make her think that she didn’t want me.”
“I know what you are thinking. We thought she was alone. She said that you rejected her, we thought she was fair game. We would never take what is yours.” Peter keeps trying to convince Hector. He is making it sound as if she was just a silly girl.
“Your scent is the strongest on her. You were the last one to have your hands on her. Did you enjoy yourself? I can tell she didn’t let you get too far, but you sure tried didn’t you?”
“Hector I can see how this looks bad. But we just want to check her out and make sure she’s OK, then she is all yours.” I inch closer to her with my hands up too. The closer we get the more I am sure we can get him away from her.
“And you my Alpha, you should have known that I was going to take her back. You knew she wasn’t a slut and yet you acted like my words were true. Why? I can only ask myself and the answer I came up with is that you always wanted her. It was better for you to believe she was a slut than that she just wasn’t your mate. I saw you with your hands and mouth all over her. I saw the way you wanted her. I saw you sneak in her window last night too. You should have known’t that wouldn’t go unpunished.” Hector shifts his grip just enough that we can tell the blade won’t land on her heart but maybe graze her abdomen. This is our only chance.
All three of us lunge catching a part of Hector. I have to be the most careful because I am on the side where Olivia is on the bed. Hector lunges downward, she leaps forward as the blade impales into her side. I quickly pull the blade out but blood starts pouring. I try to hold it in. I am not even paying attention to the other two and their battle with Hector. I don’t know how he thinks he will win. I hope they kill him. I quickly strip off my shirt and use it to try to stop the bleeding.
I can smell so much wolfs-bane on her, she is having trouble healing. He must have injected her too. That is why she couldn’t link me anymore. She is screaming and crying in pain. I try to talk to her. “You’re OK now Olivia, you’re going to be fine. Stay with me ok. Just stay with me, don’t leave me.” I plead through my own tears. She is losing consciousness again. I don’t want this to be the last time I see her. It can’t be the last time.
The other two have stopped fighting Hector. They have run over to her.
“Come on Olivia, you’re stronger than this.” Peter unties her wrists. Benjamin is untying her ankles.
“We need to get her to the hospital. She won’t make it if she stays here too long.” Peter and I are staring at her. Benjamin is the only one seeing enough reason to know that we need to get her out of here.
Quickly Benjamin grabs her out of our grips and runs out of the room to take her to the hospital.
