Chapter 13 Bad Influence

Book:Now You See Me Published:2024-5-1

Logan
“Just convince her to go.” Brett said shrugging while playing Playstation on his big screen.
“I’m telling you it’s not gonna happen man, she hates parties.” I told him.
Alicia and I have been with each other for a couple weeks now, and things were going great. We were getting to know each other very well, in every way that we can, and I do mean in every way.
For a girl like her I never expected her to be so open to my advances. We haven’t slept together but we are certainly having a good time while we wait.
Along with all of that I am getting to know quite a lot about my Princess. The cute angry scowl she gets when I’ve said something to bug her, the way she chews on her pen when she’s trying to concentrate on work, the way she tucks her hair behind her ear but it always falls right back out of place. She likes books, schoolwork, and movies. She dislikes ANYTHING social. Besides me of course.
Brett’s parents are now going away and basically don’t care what goes on while they are gone so long as the house is clean when they get back. So that means party, I of course am going to be there but I’m upset that Alicia may not want to go. Brett is convinced that I can convince her, but I’m not so sure.
“Well then come without her.” He responded simply.
“But I want her to come.” I said like a grumpy child.
“Ah! then convince her to come!” He said again annoyed partly because I’m acting like a child and partly because his character just got shot.
I laughed at his aggravation. He tossed the remote at me and I blocked it before it creamed my head.
“Dick.” He said while I continued to laugh. He grabbed the remote once more and began again. “So what’s with you and this girl, a little more serious then your other conquests?”
“I don’t know, I guess so, she definitely is different. I just don’t want to play games with her.” I made out like it was nothing much but it is more then that. I have never once acted this attentive nor cared about any girls feelings that I have been with before.
“Ok, I gotta go, gonna pick Alicia up at the library.” I said grabbing my jacket and keys.
“Never thought I would hear you say you were picking a girl up from a library.” He smirked never allowing his eyes to leave the screen.
“What can I say man, sexy librarian is one of my top ten porn fantasies.” I shot back.
He chuckled “I hear that. See ya later.” He said agreeing.
I drove the car to the library and there she was on the steps fully engulfed in the book she was reading, very serious look on her face, attempting to tuck her hair behind her ear to no avail, and I wasn’t lying, the image was sexy as hell, I was already hard just looking at her. We need to have a serious discussion about some overdue books I may have (alone in my bedroom).
I pulled up and had to give the horn little bit of a honk for her to notice I was there. She looked up and began to gather up her things frantically once she realized I was there. I sometimes wonder if I still make her nervous or that’s just the way she will always be, frantic.
“Hi, sorry, I just got a little distracted.” She smiled while apologizing unnecessarily.
“You ever think about wearing glasses?” I said with a smirk.
“What?” She said confused.
I pulled out of the lot and began to drive down the street, while she put on her seat belt.
“Nothing.” I said with a laugh.”So what do those books have that I don’t have?”
“Charm, grace, wit..” She began to list with a smile.
“Ok, ok but what do I have that those books don’t have?” I smiled expecting her to have a smart ass remark.
She started thinking tucking her bottom lip in and smiling. “Beautiful blue eyes..” she pulled herself closer to me. “Strong manly arms..” she began tracing her fingers down my bicep making things stir. “A perfectly sculpted torso..” her fingers continued on down my side making my heart start to race, they continued on tracing down to my thigh dangerously close to my groin. “And a wonderfully exquisite..”
“Alright unless you want me to pull this car over right her and now your gonna have to stop that.” She giggled taking her hand back.
“Where are we going?” She asked now that she was done with her game.
“I don’t know.” I answered still riled up. “I was going to take you out for some ice cream but now I just want to take you home.”
“Ice cream sounds nice.” She replied with a cutesy grin.
“Tease,” I mumbled with a sad pout.
“Oh poor baby, you’ll feel better after some ice cream, It’ll cool you down.” She smirked.
“You just wait, your in trouble now.” I said grabbing at her side which I know now is quite ticklish.
“Ok, ok Logan stop… you have.. to.. focus on the road.” She begged while laughing and attempted to wiggle away from me.
I gave her a break from my ruthless torture and we called a truce.
I came over to the table in the ice cream shop with ice cream in hand, Alicia’s favourite Mint Chip and my own Rum Raisin.
“I don’t know how you can eat that.” She said with a scrunchy face.
“I don’t know how you can eat that.” I replied with a slight smile.
“Thanks for the ice cream but I should really pay, you’ve paid every time we’ve gone out, and I don’t think it’s right.” She firmly stated.
“There’s nothing wrong with me always treating you, maybe I want to spoil you, is there anything wrong with that?” I grabbed her hand across the table and she automatically began to blush.
“I guess not.” She mumbled now getting embarrassed.
“I have something to ask you.” I said out of the blue changing the subject.
“Ok.” She replied with a suspicious look on her face.
“So Brett’s parents are going away and he is having a party.” I said wincing, expecting her to instantly say no.
“Ok.” She narrowed her eyes at me.
“And, I was wondering, if you aren’t doing anything that is, if you would like to go to the party?” Again waiting for the expected ‘definitely not’.
“Ok.” She said simply taking her hand back to carry on with her ice cream.
“That’s it, no absolutely not, no Logan you know I hate parties, just ok?” I said shocked.
She looked up and giggled “Do you want me to say no?”
“No! I just don’t understand, since when are you so easy to convince to go to a party, with my friends?” I continued wanting an explanation for this weird phenomenon.
“Logan, I think I pretty much have no choice but to get used to your friends, and get used to being around a lot of people, I don’t think you are going anywhere anytime soon, and neither am I.” She shrugged. “Besides, I’m not going without Jess and Kyle and your ok with that right..” She finished.
I just nodded and smiled in response. I couldn’t believe how easy that was. She also just stated that she wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon which put me in a fantastic mood.
Once we were finished with our ice cream we left to take a walk in the park. She was very silent today and almost seemed relaxed.
“You seem happy today.” I said looking at her.
“I am happy.” She replied matter of factly.
“Is there a reason why?” I asked hoping she would elaborate.
“I don’t know.” She stopped walking and turned to me. “I just feel, incredibly relaxed, and whole and happy.” She shrugged.
“I there a reason for that?” I said with a light smile feeling very much the same.
She didn’t say anything, just reached up and grabbed the back of my neck gently and drew me closer to kiss her. I was shocked at first, but immediately grabbed onto her waist to pull her closer and deepen the kiss.
I really couldn’t get enough of this girl and I wasn’t giving her up anytime soon, if ever…
Holy shit did I really just think that? Did I really just think to myself that I would want to spend forever with Alicia, that I would never want to let her go?
I’d hate to say it but this thought really started to freak me out. I broke away suddenly a little bit overwhelmed.
“What’s wrong?” She asked confused.
“Ah nothing. Nothing just thought you didn’t want to get all hot and heavy in the middle of a public park.” I recovered.
“Don’t I?” She said in a mischievous tone.
I laughed “Who are you. I think I’m a little bit of a bad influence.”
“Perhaps.” She said with a grin.
I just smiled right back at her and we stood there staring at each other for awhile, then finally carried on back to my car.
“Want to head to my place?” I asked.
“Sure.” She said simply with a little bit of a wicked look in her eye.
Now it was time to talk about those overdue books.
