“Criminal, haha.” Zaniyah resisted smiling. “Because you took all that should have been mine. When I walk down the street now, I have to bear the fingers of others. I’ve previously said that I’m not going to give up on this.”
“This has nothing to do with my mom in any way. You should let her leave quickly.”
“Is it?” she sneered. “Yes, this issue is unrelated to your mother. I’m not ready to cut the rope just yet. You must come to meet me right now, or else that upset me, as you should know.”
“You’re really not afraid to spend the rest of your life in prison and just get shot, are you?”
She burst into laughter. “Do you think that going to jail or getting shot is more disgusting than following the world’s advice? Do you know what I’ve been up to these days, Krista? I tell you, even if I die, it will not be in vain. I’m not going to let you live. I’d like to feel what it’s like to see your mother die in front of your eyes after seeing your father’s death. Is it worth it if my death can make you miserable for the rest of your life?”
“You…”
“The address, I sent it to your mobile phone, don’t call the police, I will give you 20 minutes. If you don’t show up after 20 minutes, then you will wait for your mother to collect the body.”
As soon as my heart was tight, I got off the RV directly, asked the driver for the key, and drove there by myself.
Cheney’s pov
Krista was sent back to the construction site, and just about to leave, his cell phone rang.
I saw that it was Arthur. I had driven more than ten meters away, then went back to the small parking lot beside the construction site and picked up the phone.
While chatting with Arthur, I saw Krista driving out in a hurry.
I wonder, isn’t she just here? Where did she go in such a hurry?
I said to the phone, “Arthur, I have something to do. I’ll contact you later.”
Hanging up my cell phone, I started the car and chased it out directly.
Krista’s speed was really fast, and I had a hard time overtaking her all the way.
I was just about to dial her number and ask her what happened, when the yellow light just turned into a red light at the intersection ahead.
I noticed her car running a red light as I was slowing down.
I frowned, accelerated again, and went through the red light.
However, as my car reached the center of the road, it almost hit the car turning left to right to reach the green light, forcing the car to stop at some point and block the road.
I sighed and slammed the driving wheel.
“Check Krista’s RV immediately and report her location to me in real time.” I said to the person on the other line.
Krista’s pov
I risked my life all the way to the super red light, and it took me 20 minutes to get to the abandoned factory in the suburbs.
I stopped the car and looked up at the three-story building.
This is indeed the place in the video, but my mother is not hanging from the roof.
With a sigh of relief in my heart, I looked around and shouted, “Zaniyah, come out.”
By a windowless window on the third floor, Zaniyah poked her head out and looked at me. “Come up right now.”
I started to run upstairs.
When I came to the empty workshop where Zaniyah was, I looked around and frowned. “Where’s my mother?”
“She? Because you came running for her like a dog, so she is safe now for the time being.”
I stepped forward without fear and grabbed Zaniyah by the collar.
She sneered, “You dare to touch me a hair. As long as I give an order, your mother will instantly fall into meat mud.”
I pushed her to the ground. “What the hell do you want? Go ahead.”
She stood up, clapped the dust on her hands, then rushed forward, raised her arm and tried to hit me.
I grabbed her wrist as quickly as I could. “Don’t think I was scared of you when I came here. I was just about ready for everyone to die. Please, Zaniyah, don’t make me lose my patience. For the last time, I’ll ask you why you have called me.”
She shook off my hand and sneered, “Just right, I don’t want to waste time with you either.”
“I tell you, today, only one person can walk out of here entirely, who do you hope this person will be, you or your mother?” She said that while walking around me in circle, with a look full of pride.
With cold eyes, I leaned in close to her.
She frowned, “Why do I suddenly feel that I value my life and refuse to release your mother? Of course, I’m not going to make you do anything. You may go right now if you don’t want to change your mind.”
I frowned. “You let my mother go immediately. What do you want to do? Come to me.”
“Well.” She clapped her hands. “What a filial daughter. Your mother treats you mean and eccentric yet you can still give your life for her. I admire it. Then I will be merciful today and give you a happy way to end it.”
She shouted at the door, “Bring it in.”
At the door, a man in a black suit came in. The man came in with two glasses of water.
Zaniyah walked up to the man and said, “I poisoned one of these glasses of water, and the other is simply water. You and your mother now have one. Sister, I’m happy to remind you that what’s in this red cup is water.”
I frowned. “You may let my mom go as long as I drink this. What makes you think I should believe you?”
“This poison will not kill you, but it will harm your relationship with the Fischers. If you drink it, I promise you’ll see your mother and get out of here safely.”
I wondered in my mind whether Zaniyah’s words were worth believing.
Zaniyah sneered, “Looks like you regret it.”
The man in black turned and was about to leave. I stepped forward and picked up the blue cup.
I said to Zaniyah, “You’d better not lie. Today, if you break your word, tomorrow, your bed photo with Matt will be in the headlines.”
Her face changed greatly and she snapped, “Who did you give that thing to?”
I sneered, “Nature is in the hands of people in whom I have full trust. What I really want is for my mother to be safe.”
With that, I drank the liquid in the blue cup.
Zaniyah looked at me and burst out laughing. She came up to me and patted me on the cheek.
“Krista, guess what’s in here.”
