Chapter 31

Book:Billionaire's Exclusive Wife Published:2024-5-1

I smiled and looked at Cheney. “My husband and I had sex after drinking for the first time. Since then, I have stayed cautious and warned myself not to try to be brave if I can’t drink. When my husband is around, I can drink because I know that he can guard me. But if outsiders are there, it is better not to drink.”

Gia looked at me and reluctantly smiled, only to say, “It turns out that this is the case. You are lucky enough. When you have sex after drinking for the first time, you can meet such an excellent man as a senior. If you met other men, it would be really miserable.”

I bit my lips and smiled and naturally put my hand on Cheney’s hand. “Isn’t it? God really gave me a great gift. This is probably the fate destined by God.”

Gia didn’t speak and took another sip of wine.

I looked at her and smiled. “Miss Gia, drink less. Don’t get drunk before you start eating.”

“I can drink very well.”

I smiled and stopped talking.

When the food came up, Gia took the initiative to help Cheney pick up the food.

When Cheney was about to eat, I brought his bowl and gave him my own bowl. “Husband, it’s time to get off work. Why bother Miss Gia to help you with your food? Let Gia have a rest.”

I turned to Gia and smiled. “Miss Gia, don’t you call him a senior? Now that we are outside, don’t be so stiff. You don’t have to serve him. Eat more by yourself.”

Her face humbled.
Cheney’s POV
I was satisfied with this meal. I didn’t expect Krista to be jealous. It seems that I will take her out to meet my friends more in the future.
After dinner, we went out of the restaurant together.
Gia said, “Senior, can I have a word with you alone?”
Without waiting for me to say anything, Krista said, “I’ll wait for you in the car.”
With that, she nodded to Gia and turned to go into the car.
I looked at Gia and said, “If it’s not something important, let’s talk about it tomorrow.”
Gia looked at me. “It has to be said today.”
She said, taking out a small box from her bag and handed it to me. “This is a gift I brought back for you.”
I bowed my head and took it. “Thanks, now go back and rest early.”
After saying that, I walked her to her car.
Gia asked quietly, “Are you serious about this marriage?”
I looked back and looked calm. “Can marriage still be played?”
“Why her?”
“Why not her.”
“She… doesn’t suit you.”
I raised my eyebrows. “Why not? Are you going to lecture me about having a family?”
“Senior, in her eyes, she doesn’t care about you. That is my intuition as a woman, and I can’t be wrong.”
Hearing this, I was a little upset. “If you don’t understand us, don’t talk nonsense.”
After saying that, I ignored her, walked to the car, opened the door and got in.
Gia’s POV
I didn’t move until his car was out of my sight.
Krista didn’t take him seriously, but the senior… he took it seriously.
I have loved him for ten years and accompanied him for five years. I thought that after Flora, as long as I endured it for a few more years and waited for him to forget the past, I would definitely get his heart.
But I didn’t expect that my ten-year love wouldn’t match the woman he had known for only two months.
Why not me? Am I not as good as Krista?
I am unwilling to let go, really unwilling.
Cheney’s POV
After getting in the car, Krista looked at me seriously. “What’s the matter with you, your Miss Gia made you angry?”
Thinking of what Gia said just now, I was upset.
“Don’t worry about it.”
She pouted. “You are really strange. You asked me to be a third wheel. Why are you angry with me now?”
“Say one more word and…” I stared at her.
She then turned her mouth and looked out of the window, ignoring me.
My anger grew stronger and stronger, although I reminded myself that this marriage was loveless and I couldn’t ask too much of her, but when I think of the phrase ‘she didn’t care about you’, I want to explode of anger.
Krista’s POV
When I got out of the car, Cheney kept tugging at my hand. I could see that he was angry, but I didn’t know why he was angry.
Back at the Jade Court, he let go of my hand, went back to his room, changed his home clothes and went to the study room.
I went upstairs and took a bath. Seeing that he was still in the study, I made a cup of coffee and knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
I pushed the door and went in, smiling and saying, “Are you going to stay up late tonight? I made you a cup of coffee.”
He didn’t even look at me. “Put it here.”
I put the cup of coffee down, a little embarrassed.
“Then I’ll go out first.”
He didn’t even answer me.
I took two steps and felt that my heart was really heavy. I simply came directly to his table and hugged him. “Why are you angry?” I whispered.
“Who told you I was angry?” He looked at me with displeasure in his eyes.
“You are clearly unhappy,” I then cupped his face. “It was written here.” I said.
“I’m fine.” He said, his angry words became calm.
I frowned. “Then I can always ask you a few questions.”
He hugged “Ask away.”
“That Gia, was she the first love you said before?”
He raised his eyebrows. “Why do you care?”
“There is nothing that I don’t care about. I just guessed that I may have played a broadsword in front of a master because of my attitude, so you are angry.”
He looked even angrier. “Does it make sense for me to answer your question?”
“Of course, if she is, and you are afraid that she will misunderstand, then I can explain our relationship to her. If she is not, it must have been something she said behind my back when she was talking to you alone, otherwise you wouldn’t start to get angry inexplicably.”
“You guessed wrong. She was not my first love, and she didn’t say anything bad about you in front of me. I am working. Go back and rest first.”
“Are you sure?”
His eyes stared at me. “Why do you have to pull out a right and wrong question with me today before you give up?”
I shook my head. “No, no, then you are busy. I understand. I will go back and rest then.”
After finishing that, I turned, opened the door and went out.
When I went upstairs to my room, I saw a small jewelry box on the coffee table.
I went over, sat on the sofa, and opened the box with a delicate pin in it. The style of this pin looks like it is designed for men.
I guess this is what Cheney took from Gia when he was talking alone with her.
I was busy covering the box as if I didn’t see anything.
When I lay in bed, I read a book for a while, and then when I was sleepy, I closed my eyes to get some sleep.
