Chapter 74 The Party

Book:The Billionaire Prick Published:2024-5-1

The party went on smoothly with the guest except with Dimitri who would constantly throw glances at the red-haired and would look away when she or Audriana would look at him.
Sofia who was in the arms of Max would keep looking at her at intervals as he talked to the other guest and had to excuse himself from their midst to come to stay with her then he kept asking her if she was okay or needed something.
Caleb had to go home early with Emily since she was getting tired and seeing her cousin was already stressing her.
Aiden would occasionally look at Dimitri then Daniella and when her gaze and his gaze meet he would smile and continue the lookout.
And Audriana trying to forget about all that happened when Daniella came to the party and also trying to make her feel welcomed too.
She was still bothered about Dimitri’s behavior when he saw Daniella and was more bothered when he refused to answer her queries when she asked if he knew her before or if there was more to what he portrayed.
Daniella too had all the familiarity written on her face and wants to ask her about it but didn’t want to. She wanted the person that would tell her what was going on to be Dimitri and didn’t know why she wanted it that way.
Maybe she felt scared to know what might be the things between them and if Daniella would be the one to tell her she might one way or another get hurt and it would make her slowly lose what she might have had for him.
Feelings don’t easily get dissolved like that? She asked herself.
There were a lot of things on her mind. Questions to be answered, situations to be explained, issues to be discussed, and come with solutions if possible.
She couldn’t give herself a valid reason why she wanted him to be the one to tell her what was going on but she just wants him to be the one.
“Are you okay?” just like she was woken from daydreaming she shok her head and looked at the person that talked to her and touched her.
It was Daniella who had something that looked like a worried look on her face as she stares at her.
Clearing her throat she smiled and nod her head then took a sip from her juice.
“Oh yeah, I am fine thank you” she laughed a bit.
Daniella just nods her head and looked away. Not like she cared or anything, she just doesnt want to have the bad image in her eyes so she just has to ask.
Then she saw a man leave the room and looked away from the door the man passed through but snapped her head back there then realized he was the one who left.
Here she was worried about something that might not be a thing and having a bit of doubt and look at the lady in front of her worried about her and even had to ask her if she was okay.
Was she really showing something was wrong? Shaking her head she stood up and Daniella noticed that looked in her direction with a questioning look.
“I…” she cleared her throat “I will be back soon” with that she put her juice down and walked away to look for Sofia.
She passed Aiden who was taken aback by her presence arond him but immediately composed himself and smiled at her.
“Aiden,”
“What’s up beauty?” he asked.
“Heaven… err…” she chuckled a bit but he still kept his smile “Have you seen Sofia? I need to talk to her urgently.”
“Hmm… no but have you tried calling her? Maybe Max has taken her home who knows” he shrugged.
“Okay,” she turned her head to look at Daniella but she wasn’t sitting where she left her then her gaze went to the bar stool Dimitri was sitting on earlier and he wasn’t there either.
Frowning she looked back at Aiden and came a bit closer to him.
“Where is Dimitri?” she asked.
“He was sitting ri-” he paused when he didn’t see his friend at the same spot he was sitting not long ago. “But he wa-” he stopped himself when he didn’t see Daniella anywhere too.
“Damn girl” he muttered and took Audriana’s hands in his then walked to where her parents were talking together.
“What happened? Why do you look like that and why di-” she was interrupted when Aiden talked to her mum.
“Hello Aunt, I can see you guys are enjoying yourselves. Here, Audriana would like to join you, folks,” he said pushing her gently to them.
“What? You we-”
“I need to talk to that cute blonde over there” he interrupted her pointing to some random person and winked at them then walking really fast away from them before she had the chance to say anything.
He looked around then spotted a door and made his way in that direction.
“Where in the world are those two?” he muttered checking small hallways by his sides and would knock on doors he saw.
“I am hoping they aren’t doing anything nasty.

He just couldn’t explain how he was feeling. He was going to feel anger for Audriana for inviting her over but when he had asked her she looked like she didn’t know anything about how they knew e or about their past.
He had been glancing at her at intervals and would look away when he was caught looking by either Audriana or Daniella and it had been going on for some minutes before he made his mind that he couldn’t take it any longer.
He stood up and went out through the other door so he could get out of the house but through the back door of the mansion.
He didn’t think anyone saw him so he just kept going, wanting to clear his head and calm his heart down. He was still trying to ask himself if she was truly there or not.
She was his first love, the first woman that captured his heart, the first woman that made him come to a conclusion no other ladies mattered to him aside from her.
He was young and new to love so he cherished and adored every moment they spent together. Every word was spoken to each other he kept in his box of memories that held everything they shared together.
There is this feeling of peace, comfort, and assurance that came over him when he fort set his eyes on her and he just knew she had to be the one and did the best he could do and that was to chase her, flirt with her, and made sure she was his and he was hers.
She was his world and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. When he discovered about that great news, he couldn’t contain the amount of joy that engulfed him and he remembered crying and hugging her that day when he asked her about it and she confirmed it.
He cared for her and took good care of her but it multiplied when he found out about it. It was something he was proud of and wasn’t sure if he was ready for that but wanted to do all he could to get himself prepared before that time.
But all was short lived when the worst thing happened and he couldn’t believe himself and why she would do that to him and began questioning the love she claimed to have for him.
Remembering those events brought tears to his eyes and his legs felt like jelly and trying to not fall to the ground, he placed his palm on the wall and rested the rest of his body on the wall then closed his eyes and tried to keep it all in.
He wasn’t going to cry or let that dreading feeling take over him again. It had been a long time ago it happened and he wasn’t going to get affected by it again.
Then he felt a hand on his back and he tensed then opened his eyes. Before he knew it arms were wrapped around his torso and he didn’t have to look back to know who it was.
She not being able to draw him closer to herself, moved closer to him so his back was pressed against her front and the side of her head was resting on his back too.
Normally he would feel relaxed when she would come up from behind him but he was tensed instead.
“You need to relax Dimitri. I doubt you have done that in a long time” she said but he didn’t answer still standing there not moving.
“What is going on here?” a voice said from behind them.
