“Sir, I duly apologize,” Mr. Delvin said coming closer to him and this time wearing a pair of reading glasses.
Dimitri just gave him a once-over before continuing making his call.
The hotel medics attended to Audriana a few minutes ago and the hotel manager came along with some servicemen Dimitri requested for.
She was just seated on the bed with her knee up to her chin level. She placed the side of her head on her knee and leaned back on the headboard of the bed.
He was on the phone trying to get a flight that would take them to New York that night. He couldn’t deny the fact that he was pissed. He was beyond angry at this stage.
“The elevator was undergoing maintenance for the past week and was working perfectly so this evening the issue persists and we put a ‘do not enter’ sign in front of the elevator so as to avoid this experience”
Dimitri took the phone from his ear and stepped closer to the man, intimidating him a bit.
“Then how come we never saw a sign when we arrived? It looked like nothing was happening, and that everything was fine. Do you see the state it put my wife? Look at her” he pointed to Audriana.
“We just got married yesterday and a lot happened during our stay here for our honeymoon, I tell you this is the worst place, to be honest, and I wonder how people rate your hotel to be one of the best in Strotule” Dimitri angrily says.
He took off his reading glasses and cleaned them with a handkerchief he fetched from his pocket.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and for traumatizing your wife. It will never ever happen again” he assured him.
“Yeah, I know it will never happen again,” Dimitri said after typing on his phone for a few minutes then turned to Mr. Delvin.
“Oh, thank you sir for believing in us sir. Your experience from now on will be splendid.”
“Believing in who? We are not experiencing anything from now on, we are leaving tonight” Dimitri said and walked to the closet to retrieve their box and some of the clothes they unpacked.
“What? Oh no, sir. We are truly sorry”
“Sorry cannot undo what has been done. My wife experienced a scare earlier today then I took her out so she can enjoy herself and at least forget what happened, then we came back and got stuck in the elevator” he shook his head and continued packing.
“Sir the cab is waiting for you downstairs,” one of the servicemen said and picked up some of their boxes.
“Mr. Lorenzo, I am so sorry. This would not happen again, it is already late. Please stay for the night… we are never like this, it basically a little accident”
Dimitri finished packing the last and handed them to Audriana who came to assist in packing up. He turned to the man and walked up to him. The middle-aged man took a step backward and shook in fear of what this lean muscular man had in mind.
“Basically a little accident? Really? My wife’s mood went from a hundred to zero in the space of a few hours. Now you want us to spend the night? Then what happens? You finally kill my wife?” he asked angrily “You’re sick Delvin, sick” he pointed to his head then walked back to Audriana who was sitting on the large box.
“Come on Love, let’s go,” he said holding her arm and lifts her up then held the box by its hand in the other hand. Then dragged it to leave the room. “Hope you aren’t forgetting anything?” he asked her.
“I told you to stop calling me that” she tried to release her arm from his firm grip but he didn’t let that happen.
“Shut up and let’s go,” he said in a low voice and continued walking.
“You don’t tell me what to do, jerk” she tried again and he didn’t budge.
“I told you to stop calling me that, it’s not nice” he whispered in her ear.
“And it’s nice to rough handle me?” she asked.
“I am not rough handling you” he answered back.
“So what do you call this? Holding me against my will?” she tried again and he released his grip on her arm.
He side glanced at her and sighed.
“I didn’t rough handle you, lets leave already. This place is so horrible, didn’t you remember how scared and mortified you were hours ago and a few minutes ago?” he asked half angry half concerned.
“Whatever,” she pulls her sweater on her shoulder properly and walked ahead of him.
Just as they made their way to the stairs the manager ran after them and stopped them.
“Please don’t forget to leave a good review for our hotel. I am glad you enjoyed your time here. Bye,” the manager says out loud.
They both turned to him with disbelief on their faces then looked at each other then at the man. They noticed the same couple they saw earlier coming up the stairs with confusion on their faces and nod their head in understanding.
“You want a good review? I will show you a good review” Audriana said and started walking towards the manager angrily.
But she was stopped by Dimitri’s arms around her waist.
“Let’s leave Love, he isn’t worth our time” he pulled her to his chest till he was sure she was calm and wasn’t huffing out fire from her nostrils.
She turned and walked down the stairs angrily muttering how annoyed she had become. Dimitri just gave the manager a hard look and walked down the stairs.
Mr. Delvin breath out a sigh of relief and walked towards the elevator to inspect it. Then a call came and he looked at the caller ID before answering it.
“I see you are doing quite well, please extend my greeting to your family” the line got disconnected.
He sighed again and put his phone in his pocket before rushing down the stairs.

They were in the taxi taking them to the airport at 11 pm, he had already booked them a flight back home. At least he had a home to get to after the nonsense they saw at that Hotel.
He wondered how they got a crappy hotel to stay in, who book it, he wasn’t aware of but decides to brush it off as it isn’t that serious. Audriana seems to be calm from what happened there she just seems to be mad at him for reasons he is yet to understand.
He turned to look at her as she looks out the window and not bothering to look or talk to him since they got into the car.
“Love, you can stop fuming and tell me what I did wrong to anger you?” he said after a long time of staring at her.
“I told you time without numbers, stop calling me that, stop it,” she said throwing him a glare and he gave her a toothy grin to which she rolled he eyes at him.
“You’re so annoying” she muttered and looked back to her side of the window with her hands crossed on her chest. “Thank you”
