Pushing away all the what’s and if’s, I decided to meet Gizelle. I don’t know what problem she has put herself into, she was panting and her voice worried me. I hope she’s fine and not in some big danger. I ran as fast as I could with these high heels that I was wearing. I reached the place in thirty minutes but I did injure my feet in the process.
I waited outside the storehouse but no one was to be seen around so I dialed Gizelle’s number. “I’m waiting outside the storehouse. Where are you?” I asked when she picked up the call.
“Come in. I’ll meet you there” she said and disconnected. I felt a little strange because when she had called me for help, she was panting and sounded tensed but now it seems like nothing was wrong with her. Her voice appeared so cool and calm.
I opened the door of the storehouse and walked in. It was dark and nothing can be seen but then suddenly the lights went on and I was baffled to see that Gizelle wasn’t alone in the room. She told me over the call that she is in a problem and can’t seek anyone else’s help but here the reality is something else. There already around ten to twelve people in the room and everyone’s laughing, God knows for what reasons.
“Gizelle?” I called out her name, searching for her in the room full of around ten people.
“Gosh, can’t believe that she’s really here” said one boy chuckling.
“Seriously mahn, she’s so stupid” said the other and all ten of them burst into laughter. Gizelle noticed that I was still standing at the door, she stepped forward and pulled me in and indicated the boy who had dark hair to shut the door and he followed her instructions.
“You said you were in problem and needed my help then what is all this? And why did he shut the door?” I asked confused by their actions.
“So that you don’t run away from here darling” she replied.
“What’s all this Gizelle? I thought you were in trouble”
“Cheers to that stupidity” she said raising her glass of beer “You really think that I, Gizelle Gabriel would ever need help from someone like you?” she smiled her wicked smile. Right, Gizelle never gets into trouble, she causes trouble and puts everyone else in trouble.
The room smelled weird. It smelled of alcohol and drugs. God, seriously how can I be so dumb to trust Gizelle. I walked, no, I ran miles thinking that she’s in trouble and even hurt my feet and look here I am, trapped in her plan. I should’ve listened to my brain that warned me that this could be her another trick. My brain was right. How can I be so dumb? I need to leave this place right now, Zane must be waiting for me. I walked towards the door to leave but a blonde haired girl blocked my way.
“Step aside. Let me pass” I said
“Don’t be so naïve honey. We didn’t call you for you to escape like this” said the girl making a pout.
“I have an important task to complete so get out of my way”
“Sure, we’ll let you go but first let’s play a game” said Faye, Gizelle’s best friend.
“I don’t want to play any game. I’m running late so bye” I said and made another attempt to escape but was pulled back with a great force and they all gathered around me, making a circle around me.
“What nonsense!? Get aside!” I said and tried to get away but couldn’t.
My phone rang but before I could answer the call or even check who the caller was, Gizelle snatched the phone from my hand.
ZANE
I’m waiting in my car for her, right outside her house. She was supposed to be ready by 8 but it’s 8:30 pm now and she still isn’t here. Why do girls take so long to get ready? I dialed her number but the call went unanswered. I tried again and this time it’s switched off. Great! So now she’s can’t even be reached through call.
I stepped out of my car and walked in the direction of her house. I rang the doorbell but she didn’t respond. Is everything okay? I think I should go in and check. I lifted the plant pot placed near her door and picked up the keys that was placed under it. I tried to unlock and realised that the door was already open. I went inside the house and called out her name but there was no response from her side. I walked up to her room but she wasn’t there either. Not in the bathroom either.
I called her up, she didn’t answer. The second time her phone was switched off. The door is open but she isn’t here. She went out leaving the house without locking it? All these things are making me anxious, she isn’t the person who would forget to lock the door before leaving. I hope she’s not in any danger. Damn, this girl. She could’ve informed before leaving, could’ve at least left a text? Where can she be? Coffee shop? No she won’t go there alone, then where else? The forest? Yes may be she might be there. I must go and check there.
BLAIRE
I walked all the way home with a numb brain. Why do I trust people so easily? Why can’t I see the evilness that lies behind their fake sweetness? Why do I always fall in their trap? I’m really stupid to believe Gizelle and run all the way to the college’s storeroom for her. I wish I hadn’t gone there, I wish this never had happened but it has and I blame myself for this, for being stupid to believe that evil girl. But not anymore. I won’t let anyone make fun of me anymore. Whom will they bully when I won’t be in this world?
Flashback of all that has happened in the storeroom constantly ran through my mind while I climbed up the stairs to be on the terrace. I climbed up and there I was at the edge of the terrace.
“One step and I’ll be free” I said closing my eyes.
“Good bye cruel world” I said and took a deep breathe for the one final time before jumping off.
