“I’ll keep it for now. If you need it someday, I’d give it back to you,” Leo said, rubbing Violet’s head with a smile.
“No worries, Leo. I have another piece at home, and considering you gave me such a precious armor, a jade pendant is nothing,” Violet replied cheerfully.
On Fiery Vulture, Akira’s face turned ice-cold upon seeing Violet give away her personally carried jade pendant.
“Kaen, she gave that precious pendant to that boy!”
“That pendant was extracted from our tribe’s sacred land. Though its purpose is unknown, it is incredibly valuable. Not even the clan leader wears one. How could she give it to an outsider?” Akira fumed.
Kaen glanced at Akira, saying, “Akira, it’s Miss’s possession. She can give it to whomever she pleases. What could I do? It’s not like I can snatch it from her. Why don’t you go and talk to her?”
“Ugh…” Akira was rendered speechless.
In the end, Akira glared at Leo with hatred, deepening his animosity towards him.
“Leo, Jennifer, I’m leaving,” Violet said reluctantly.
Jennifer gave Violet a gentle hug.
Under Leo and Jennifer’s gaze, Violet boarded Meigetsu’s Fiery Vulture.
The two Fiery Vultures let out cries, flapping their huge wings before soaring into the sky.
Soon, the two Fiery Vultures vanished into streaks of firelight, heading eastward.
Leo only withdrew his gaze after they disappeared into the horizon.
After sending off Violet, Leo had lunch at the Seven Stars Sword Sect and then returned to the city.
Leo went to the chairman’s office at Henley’s Corp to find Sophia.
Since they had reconciled, the missed honeymoon deserved to be compensated.
Sophia and Leo finally decided to go to Seattlemere.
The next morning, Leo and Sophia boarded an international flight to Seattlemere.
After flying smoothly for over two hours, the plane suddenly started to shake violently.
A napping Sophia was startled awake, grabbing Leo’s hand tightly.
As the oxygen masks dropped from above the seats, panicked screams erupted from some of the female passengers.
“The plane is encountering unstable air currents, please do not panic! Do not leave your seats! Fasten your seat belts!”
“The restrooms will be temporarily closed. Passengers in the restrooms, please hold on tight. We will resume service once the weather stabilizes!”
Though the flight attendant announced not to panic, her tone revealed her own anxiety.
Accompanied by a scream, the plane’s body jolted again and started to plummet!
“Leo…” Sophia became terrified.
Leo gripped Sophia’s hand tightly, comforting, “Don’t be scared, it’s going to be fine.”
After dropping several hundred meters, the plane stopped descending, but it swayed violently from side to side, causing the overhead compartments to open and the luggage to fall out in disarray.
“Ow!”
Cries of alarm echoed through the cabin as many passengers were struck, with a few getting injured.
A suitcase fell towards a little girl across the aisle from Leo.
Luckily, Leo’s quick reflexes allowed him to catch the suitcase mid-air.
A minute later, the plane stabilized, and the cabin erupted in cheers.
Soon, the flight attendants’ announcements echoed again, informing everyone that the plane had successfully passed through the turbulence.
The flight attendants unfastened their seat belts, picking up the scattered luggage while checking on the passengers.
“Sophia, are you alright?” Leo asked, full of concern.
“I’m okay,” Sophia nodded, calming herself.
“Is there a doctor onboard? We need medical assistance,” called out a flight attendant.
“I am!” Leo stood up, being the only one to do so.
Leo glanced at a man in a deep blue suit with frameless glasses. He seemed puzzled.
Earlier, Leo had seen the man reading a medical book and assumed he was also a doctor.
“Sir, your name, please?” The flight attendant politely asked Leo, handing him the emergency medical kit.
“My name is Bloomer,” Leo responded, accepting the kit.
“Thank you, Dr. Bloomer.” The flight attendant bowed to him.
“Any other doctors? Please assist Dr. Bloomer!” she called again, but no one else responded.
“It’s alright, I can handle it alone,” Leo assured her.
Seven or eight passengers were injured by the falling luggage. Three had minor wounds, but none were severely injured.
Leo used the medical kit to perform simple bandages on the injured.
He also attended to those with impacted legs or shoulders with skilled massages.
The patients couldn’t help but admire his techniques, singing his praises.
“Wow, the pain’s gone with just a few touches. Amazing!”
“What a great doctor, skilled hands!”
“Such a young guy, yet your medical skills are impressive! Bright future ahead!”
Their admiration piqued other passengers’ curiosity towards Leo.
“Thank you all. It’s just basic skills,” Leo said modestly, returning the medical kit.
“Hmph, mere tricks!” The man in the suit snorted disdainfully, casting Leo a scornful glance.
Leo frowned at him, internally musing if he was indeed a doctor. Why hadn’t he helped earlier, then?
“Is there a doctor present?” Another flight attendant hurried over from first class, “An elderly passenger had a fright and is in need of medical assistance.”
The sight of the first-class flight attendant dazzled many passengers.
She was tall and elegant, bearing an almost celebrity-like charm, and her graceful presence made her stand out.
Leo, hearing about the medical emergency, immediately stood up, “I…”
“I’m a doctor!” The man in the suit abruptly stood up, “I am!”
