Chapter 1168 Master Troinis

Although Leo didn’t know much about Buddhist temples, he was clear in his mind that the monks who receive tourists at places like this temple, which are built based on temples, are not real monks in the true sense.
Real monks pursue spiritual cultivation, so how could they engage in profitable activities like this?
Also, the peripheral attractions of Jewelbloom Temple, such as Celestial Sovereign Hall and Great Buddha’s Hall, are just attractions.
The real monks of Jewelbloom Temple would not be among these attractions, and the real Jewelbloom Temple should be deep inside and not open to tourists.
Leo came today to borrow the Dragon’s Eye from Jewelbloom Temple, and he had no mood or time to appreciate the peripheral attractions of Jewelbloom Temple.
After entering the attraction of Jewelbloom Temple, the two of them stopped in front of the map for two minutes, found the direction, and walked straight towards the inner temple of Jewelbloom Temple.
The layout of the ancient temples in Atraria mostly have a mountain gate in the middle, with the bell tower and drum tower on the left and right inside the mountain gate, the Celestial Sovereign Hall in front, with four statues of Vajra inside the hall, followed by the Great Buddha’s Hall and the scripture hall, with the monk rooms and dining halls located on the left and right sides of the central axis.
The Great Buddha’s Hall is the most important and largest building in the temple, with “great hero” representing the founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni Buddha.
After crossing the Grand Compassion Tower for about ten minutes, the two of them walked past and entered the real Jewelbloom Temple.
On the left, there was a sign that read: “No entry for tourists, please do not enter the important area of the temple.”
Looking at this sign, Leo was thinking in his mind.
It was not a problem to enter Jewelbloom Temple, but the question was how to borrow the Dragon’s Eye from Jewelbloom Temple.
Even though he had never dealt with monks before, if one thought that monks were always compassionate and easy to talk to, they would be wrong.
“Leo, have we arrived?” Madame couldn’t help but ask.
Leo replied, “Yes, this is Jewelbloom Temple. There is a treasure in the temple that can cure your eyes.”
Upon hearing this, Madame was first delighted, but soon became worried, “Since it’s a treasure, it must be very valuable. The monks in the temple may not lend it to us.”
“Don’t worry, since we have come, I will definitely borrow this treasure for you!” Leo’s tone was firm and determined.
Ignoring the presence of the sign, Leo led Madame to continue walking inside. Just a few steps in, a voice suddenly rang out, “Travelers, this is the place where our temple monks cultivate, and it is not open to the public. Please go elsewhere for sightseeing.”
“Master, my name is Leo, please help me convey a message. I have something to ask the abbot for help.” Leo tried to make his tone polite, with a faint Buddhist power fluctuation, letting Leo know that the monk watching the gate was not simple.
The monk put his hands together in front of his chest and said, “The abbot of the temple is currently cultivating and does not see any outside guests. Please leave.”
Although the monk spoke politely, he had a distant expression that rebuffed others.
Leo knew that it was useless to say more, so he circulated his Spiritual Power and directly pressed towards the monk.
The monk’s face changed immediately, and after a deep look at Leo, he said, “So it’s a talented gentleman visiting, please wait, I will go report to the abbot.”
Watching the monk walk inside, the two of them stood quietly on the side waiting.
Leo already had a plan in mind. If the abbot was not accommodating, he would have to push his way through.
In no time, the monk returned and made a polite gesture to invite Leo and Madame inside.
Leo remained composed and led Madame inside.
At this point, the monk noticed that Madame was blind, but he only glanced at her briefly before looking away.
As they walked further inside, the sense of ancient history became stronger, and the scenery in the inner courtyard was vastly different from the deliberately constructed attractions outside.
If the outside could be described as beautiful, then the inner temple was more about historical accumulation.
The buildings around them, apart from simple repairs, still retained their original state.
The green stone slabs underfoot, the ancient trees around them, the grey walls and green tiles, all revealed the traces of time, and one could only feel the charm of the ancient temple after being immersed in it.
After walking through several twists and turns with the monk, Leo finally met the abbot of Jewelbloom Temple – Master Troinis.
They sat down, and a monk offered them tea.
The appearance of Master Troinis sitting across from Leo was vastly different from those fat and earthen monks often seen in the newspapers.
He wore a slightly worn white robe, and although he was not short, he appeared slim in stature.
Leo had never seen such a slim monk before, but Master Troinis was in high spirits, and his eyes were bright.
After looking at the two of them, Master Troinis asked lightly, “Mr. Bloomer, it seems that you have come to our temple this time for the sake of this lady’s eyes, right?”
Leo did not find it strange that Master Troinis had seen through his purpose for coming here.
Although he had not used his divine sense to probe the old abbot’s cultivation level, Leo knew that he was definitely not simple from the faint Buddhist power fluctuation emanating from him.
Going along with the customs, Leo clasped his hands together and bowed to Master Troinis respectfully, saying, “Master Troinis, you have sharp insight. To be honest, I have come here this time to request your help in curing my friend’s eyes.”
Although Leo’s words were sincere, Master Troinis’ expression remained as calm as the statues in the temple, revealing no emotional changes.
After thinking for a moment, he said, “I’m afraid the guest may be disappointed. I do not have the ability to restore the sight of this lady.”
This answer was within Leo’s expectations. He challenged back, “Master Troinis, monks have always been compassionate and truthful. They cannot lie.”
“Monks do not lie.” Master Troinis replied with lowered eyebrows, his face calm as a still pond.
Leo felt a bit stuck, and without bothering to continue playing games, he went straight to the point, “Master Troinis, since that’s the case, I would like to borrow the Dragon’s Eye from your temple, and I hope you can fulfill this request.”
As Leo finished speaking, the old abbot suddenly lifted his eyes to look directly at him, as if trying to see through him with his gaze.
After a moment of silence, Master Troinis refused, “Dragon’s Eye is a treasure of our Temple of Seraphic Treasures, and I cannot lend it.”
The old abbot was straightforward, not denying the existence of the Dragon’s Eye in Jewelbloom Temple, nor inquiring how Leo knew about it. He simply refused to lend it, indicating there was no room for negotiation.
Leo was about to try to persuade him, when suddenly a plump monk rushed in hurriedly.
