“Little brother, considering that you’re a friend of our Miss, I won’t hold your disrespectful words against you. But I hope you know your place,” the man in the suit’s voice turned cold.
“To stay or leave is entirely Miss Meredith’s decision. Do you really want to forcefully drag her away if she doesn’t want to go? Are you trying to overstep your boundaries?” Leo’s tone carried a hint of teasing.
These words caused a change in the man in the suit’s expression, making him slightly annoyed.
“I am acting on the orders of the leader and the old master. If Miss refuses to cooperate, then I have no other choice,” the man in the suit’s voice became firm and resolute.
He didn’t want to resort to violence against Marina, but Marina’s father, Josiah Meredith, had given strict orders.
Marina’s unauthorized escape had completely angered Josiah.
Josiah declared that no matter the cost, he would bring Marina back. He would go to any lengths, even if it meant seeing bloodshed!
After all, for a prestigious family like the Merediths, reputation was everything. If news of Marina’s elopement spread, it would be a severe blow to the Meredith family’s prestige in the capital.
The man in the suit naturally knew that Josiah’s words were spoken in anger, but it also revealed Josiah’s determination.
He was determined to capture Marina and, if necessary, use force, even if it meant going against her will.
As soon as the man in the suit finished speaking, the surrounding black-clad men instantly encircled them. The atmosphere in the clinic lobby grew tense.
Chasel tensed up; he could tell that these people were skilled. He wouldn’t have a problem dealing with them one-on-one, but facing two or more opponents would be challenging.
“Uncle Chapmanson, I’ll go back with you. Please don’t trouble Dr. Bloomer,” Marina stepped forward hurriedly, not wanting Leo to get hurt.
“Miss Meredith, I have never broken my word. If I can’t even protect you, then there’s no point in keeping this clinic open,” Leo calmly smiled at Marina.
Then he looked at the man in the suit and continued, “My clinic has just been renovated, and it would be a shame to damage it. How about this, to avoid any hard feelings, let’s have a one-on-one match?”
“If I lose, you can take Miss Meredith with you. If I win, you and your men will leave.”
The man in the suit glanced at Leo, sneering with disdain, thinking that he was overestimating himself.
“What kind of match do you propose?” the man in the suit scoffed, his voice filled with anger.
“I dare not insult you. I simply believe that this is the least confrontational method,” Leo replied calmly.
“My fists can deliver fatal blows,” the man in the suit’s voice turned ice-cold, his eyes displaying a hint of killing intent.
Leo’s repeated provocations had completely infuriated him. Since this kid wanted to die, he would grant him his wish.
“Dr. Bloomer!” Marina quickly grabbed Leo.
Marina was well aware of Harvey Chapmanson’s strength, and she was afraid that Leo would get hurt.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine,” Leo gave her a confident look. “Chasel, let’s count down from five minutes.”
“No need, ten seconds will be enough!” Harvey coldly shouted, not even considering Leo a threat.
As soon as he finished speaking, Harvey’s feet moved, and in the blink of an eye, he darted in front of Leo, delivering a powerful punch towards his head.
Seeing that the punch was about to hit Leo’s temple, but suddenly Leo’s head moved back strangely, and Harvey’s fist grazed his nose and flew past.
Impossible!
Harvey’s heart trembled. He had clearly seen his fist about to hit Leo’s face, so how did it veer off course in the blink of an eye?
Harvey took a deep breath, exerted force in his feet, and once again punched towards Leo’s chest with all his strength.
The result was the same as before. Just as his fist was about to connect, Leo’s body slightly shifted, evading the attack.
Harvey’s face twisted, and his leg swept towards Leo’s lower leg, while his right arm swiftly swung, aiming with tremendous force at Leo’s chest, launching a dual attack!
But to Harvey’s astonishment, this set of attacks once again missed the mark!
Leo’s body suddenly moved away!
Damn it!
Harvey’s face instantly turned pale. He had lived for so many years and had never seen someone with such eerie and terrifying skills. It was simply inhuman!
No one could possibly have such swift movements!
“Come on, time is running out,” Leo reminded with a smile, his hands behind his back.
Harvey shouted loudly and rushed forward with his fists raised again, but just like before, every punch missed.
Due to fear, Harvey’s body had become somewhat unstable, stumbling.
The group of subordinates who had come with him felt a chill down their spines. Their boss had used all his strength, yet he couldn’t even touch the other person’s clothes!
In a short while, the five minutes were up.
“Time’s up,” Leo said again, taking a step back.
Harvey stopped, gasping heavily, his eyes filled with fear as he looked at Leo.
“According to our agreement, you must leave with your men. The Meredith family should keep their word,” Leo said calmly.
Although Harvey was unwilling, he could only accept his defeat. He gritted his teeth and coldly said, “Let’s go!”
Leaving the clinic with his subordinates, Harvey hadn’t recovered from the shock he experienced earlier.
He was still recalling the scene where he had tried to strike Leo. Leo’s speed and explosive power had clearly exceeded his understanding of human limits.
At that moment, his phone suddenly rang. It was Josiah calling.
Harvey’s face immediately became serious. He adjusted his mindset and answered the call respectfully, “Mr. Meredith.”
“How is it? Did you find Marina?” Josiah asked.
“Not… not yet…” Harvey’s tone was heavy, his face very unpleasant.
“Not yet? Why? Doesn’t she want to come back? Didn’t I make it clear that we can’t let her have her way?” Josiah’s voice was filled with annoyance.
“It’s not Miss Meredith, it’s Leo…” Harvey hesitated, feeling it was difficult to speak.
“Leo? The doctor who treated her, what happened to him?” Josiah furrowed his brows, puzzled.
“I made a bet with him. If I couldn’t touch him within five minutes… I couldn’t take Miss away…” Harvey blushed and struggled to get the words out.
“What? You lost?!” Josiah’s face immediately changed. “You spent five minutes and couldn’t even touch a single finger on him!?”
“Yes, that’s right… and he… he didn’t even make a move…” Harvey honestly reported, his face turning red and sweat streaming down his forehead.
“How is that possible?” Josiah slammed the table, deeply shaken.
He was well aware of Harvey’s abilities, so could it be that Leo was a Martial Cultivator?
