“Mr. Hampton, what’s wrong?” Olivia said with a tearful voice.
Suddenly, Conrad Hampton’s eyes closed, and the kitchen knife in his hand fell to the ground with a clatter as he collapsed.
Olivia quickly ran over to help Conrad up and pinched his acupuncture point.
After a while, Conrad woke up with a faint voice and his first question was, “What happened to me?”
“Mr. Hampton, you were sleepwalking,” Olivia explained.
“Sleepwalking?” Conrad’s brow furrowed in doubt.
After comforting Conrad to sleep, the terrifying night finally passed.
The next day, Olivia took Conrad to the best hospital in town for an examination, but no problems were found.
This confirmed Olivia’s belief that Conrad had sleepwalking disorder last night.
On the second night, just before midnight, Olivia, who was still awake, heard strange sounds again.
After getting dressed and opening the door, she witnessed the same scene as the previous night.
After she turned on the lights and called “Mr. Hampton” twice, Conrad once again collapsed to the ground.
On the third day, Olivia took Conrad to the best hospital in the city for another examination, but still no issues were found.
After informing the doctor about the nighttime occurrences, the doctor also diagnosed it as sleepwalking.
Sleepwalking is difficult to cure, so the doctor prescribed some calming medication and advised Olivia not to let Conrad feel anxious, fearful, or stressed, as it would help treat sleepwalking disorder.
On the third night, Olivia couldn’t sleep at all. As she expected, close to midnight, the strange sounds reappeared. She opened the door, and the scene in the living room was exactly the same as the previous two nights.
This situation almost drove Olivia to the brink of collapse. Thinking about Conrad’s kindness towards her, Olivia became even more worried. So she called Brice and truthfully told him everything that had happened in the past few days.
Brice hurriedly returned, and when he saw his father, the first thing Conrad said was, “Our house has a geomancy problem.”
Brice didn’t believe in geomancy, but his father firmly believed in it and insisted on inviting a geomancy master to take a look.
So Brice inquired around about where to find a geomancy master.
Emory, the head of the Montoya family, and Brice’s father were old friends for many years. When Emory learned that Conrad wanted to find a geomancy master, he recommended Leo.
That’s how Brice came to the clinic to find Leo.
After listening to Brice’s account, Leo didn’t express any opinions but asked Brice to take him to see his father.
Arriving at the residential area where Conrad lived, after knocking on the door, it was the nanny Olivia who opened it.
Seeing Brice, Olivia quickly led them into the house and served them tea.
Brice’s father, Conrad, was lying on a recliner on the balcony, reading a newspaper. When he heard that guests had arrived, he called Olivia.
Olivia rushed over to help him up from the recliner, and Brice also went over to assist.
After sitting on the sofa in the living room, Brice introduced, “Dad, this is Leo Dr. Bloomer, a renowned medicine doctor and geomancy master from Langstel.”
Although Conrad had retired for many years, he still exuded an air of authority.
He calmly looked at Leo and showed little expression on his face, politely saying, “Dr. Bloomer, could you please see if there’s any geomancy problem with me?”
Leo’s gaze scanned Conrad’s body and eventually settled on his face.
Soon, a pensive expression appeared on Leo’s face.
Brice wanted to ask something, but Conrad made a gesture to stop him.
“Mr. Hampton, have you been feeling palpitations at night recently? And before falling asleep, do you see any illusions?” Leo asked.
Conrad’s expression changed when he heard that and nodded, saying, “Indeed, as you said.”
“Mr. Hampton, your facial features are originally indicative of longevity, but recently there has been a change in this aspect of longevity,” Leo said, retracting his gaze from Conrad’s face and looking at Olivia, the nanny standing beside him. He asked, “Olivia, you take care of Mr. Hampton’s daily life, so you should be familiar with him. Have you noticed any changes in his eyebrows recently?”
“Eyebrows?” Olivia was momentarily stunned but suddenly remembered something. “Yes, the eyebrows! Mr. Hampton’s eyebrows have been different lately!”
“Olivia, what’s different about my eyebrows?” Conrad hadn’t noticed any changes in his eyebrows and was curious.
“Mr. Hampton, the tips of your eyebrows used to droop a week ago, but in the past few days, the tips have started to curl upwards,” Olivia said, finding a mirror and handing it to Conrad. “Mr. Hampton, see for yourself.”
Conrad took the mirror and looked at it, exclaiming, “Indeed, the tips of my eyebrows have suddenly curled upwards!”
Leo explained, “In geomancy, there is a technique called physiognomy. Although physiognomy is quite extensive, it is generally based on the facial features to make predictions about a person’s fortune.”
“Among them, determining a person’s lifespan has many methods, but the most direct and simple one is to observe the eyebrows.”
Leo took a sip of tea and continued, “The eyebrows represent the ‘Preservation Palace.’ Before middle age, the eyebrows should be appropriately thick, elegant and delicate, with a smooth luster, and the tips slightly drooping. This is considered the best eyebrow appearance.”
“Eyebrows pressing down on the eyes, broken eyebrows, too faint or too thick eyebrows, half-cut eyebrows, eyebrows pointing upward, all of these are not indicative of longevity. When a person reaches a certain age, the eyebrows should grow, and the tips should droop, creating ‘Longevity Eyebrows,’ which are unique to long-lived individuals.”
Leo explained in a clear and understandable manner, causing the three of them to nod in enlightenment.
“Dr. Bloomer, if that’s the case, why did my father’s eyebrows undergo this change, and is there a solution?” Brice asked with concern.
Leo didn’t answer his question but stood up from the sofa, flipping his right hand, as if performing magic, and a black compass appeared in his hand.
The compass was one that Leo had purchased in the antique street and had been stored in a spatial storage talisman.
Leo held the compass in his right hand and walked around the living room. As he observed the changes in the compass’s pointer, his eyebrows furrowed.
“Mr. Hampton, would you mind if I take a look in your bedroom?” Leo asked.
“Of course not. My bedroom is the second room on the left,” Conrad replied promptly.
Leo held the compass and entered Conrad’s bedroom.
Brice and Olivia stood curiously outside the door, observing.
Leo flipped his left hand, and a talisman appeared in his hand. Moving his lips slightly, he chanted a few incantations and tossed the talisman into the air.
The talisman instantly burned up in the air, filling the entire room with a faint golden light.
