Chapter 1124 Deal

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

On the outskirts of Deep Haven City stood a castle. Leo intended to slay all the werewolves within the castle to send a message of intimidation.
Over an hour later, Thunder Wing Beast carried Leo to the skies above the castle. The castle was brightly lit.
Leo’s figure flickered as he entered the castle.
A quarter of an hour later, Leo had slain all seven werewolves within the castle, but he spared the lives of the ordinary people.
After eliminating the werewolves in the castle, Leo proceeded to other locations in the Southern River State to kill more werewolves.
It wasn’t until a faint light appeared in the sky that Leo left the Southern River State. Through his efforts, almost all of the werewolves in the Southern River State had been eradicated.
Returning to the Spirit Crocodile Cliff of the Seven Stars Sword Sect, Leo rested briefly before immersing himself in cultivation.
Leo knew that the Modock Family would surely launch a counterattack, so he needed to further enhance his strength.
After cultivating in seclusion at Spirit Crocodile Cliff for two days, the next morning, when Leo was preparing to return to the city, Abel, Iron Tower, and Fire Rose arrived.
“Leo, I heard from Paxton that we owe you a debt of gratitude. Otherwise, the research data and samples of the new material would have been taken by Riceland. You’re a hero of our country,” Abel said with a smile when he saw Leo.
“Abel, spare me the empty words and get to the point,” Leo replied, curling his lip.
“Uh…” Leo’s words caught Abel off guard, and a wry smile appeared on his face.
Well, Leo was not one to hesitate when there was no benefit involved. It was pointless to talk to him about such matters.
“Leo, you’ve already wiped out all the werewolves in two States, and your powerful Martial Cultivators have also nearly eradicated the werewolves in Ron State. Shouldn’t you stop now? If you continue like this, I’m afraid I won’t be able to handle the consequences,” Abel said with a pained expression.
Seeing that Leo seemed reluctant, Abel continued, “If you stop now, I can take you to the Dragon Shield Treasury to choose Spirit Medicine. In the future, any new Spirit Medicine will be made available to you first. How about that?”
Abel’s words made Leo’s eyes light up for a moment. However, he wasn’t considering Abel’s proposal to stop, as that was out of the question. Instead, he was intrigued by what Abel said next.
“Abel, there’s no room for negotiation when it comes to exterminating the werewolves. The werewolves must die!” Leo’s tone was resolute. “You just said I’m a hero of the country, so there must be rewards, right? Take me to the Dragon Shield Treasury.”
Leo recalled the scene when he went to the treasury in the mountains with Abel before.
In the Spirit Medicine hall, there were numerous vine-type Spirit Medicines, grass-type Spirit Medicines, flower-type Spirit Medicines, and fruit-type Spirit Medicines. Among them, there were several precious varieties that caught Leo’s interest.
In the vine-type Spirit Medicines, there were the Purple Blood Vine and the Earth Heart Green Vine. Among the grass-type Spirit Medicines were the Azure Water Ghost Grass and the Moonlight Connecting Heart Grass. The flower-type Spirit Medicines included the Moon Spirit Flower and the Ice Fire Demon Flower.
Most importantly, there were fruit-type Spirit Medicines such as the White Dew Fruit and the Heaven Snow Fruit.
“What are you thinking?” Abel became wary as he noticed Leo’s eyes darting around.
“Hehe, Abel, here’s the thing. After the modification I made to the Spirit Crocodile Cliff behind the Seven Stars Sword Sect, it’s particularly suitable for cultivating fruit-type Spirit Medicines,” Leo said.
“Spirit Medicines in the Dragon Shield Treasury can be stored for about thirty to fifty years, but their medicinal properties gradually diminish every day. Since they’re just sitting there, I suggest…”
As Leo spoke, a smirk formed at the corner of his mouth.
“Suggest what?” Abel scrutinized Leo, cautious.
“Abel, no need to be so tense. You make it seem like I’m trying to deceive you,” Leo chuckled.
“I have a feeling that you are indeed trying to deceive me.”
Abel’s expression remained cautious. After all, the fruit-type Spirit Medicines in the Dragon Shield Treasury were his treasures.
Fire Rose, who was on the side, looked at both of them with a cunning smile.
“Abel, this is a win-win situation. Most of the fruit-type Spirit Medicines in the Dragon Shield Treasury have fruit cores with seeds inside. These seeds can be planted in the Spirit Crocodile Cliff,” Leo said.
“And as for the vine-type Spirit Medicines, some stems can be directly cut into segments and planted. Some flower-type and grass-type Spirit Medicines also come with seeds that I can plant,” Leo explained his thoughts.
Abel’s eyes brightened for a moment. Leo’s idea of cultivating the Spirit Medicines seemed promising.
In truth, WONDER had previously attempted to cultivate Spirit Medicines, but the results were minimal. Planting the seeds inside the fruit cores rarely succeeded, and even when successful, the growth rate was extremely slow. It was challenging to bear fruit, and it consumed a lot of time and effort.
Abel had personally visited the Spirit Crocodile Cliff and witnessed Leo’s cultivation of Spirit Medicines, so he didn’t doubt Leo’s words.
Furthermore, the Spirit Medicines in the Dragon Shield Treasury were just sitting there, and they wouldn’t increase in quantity. It made sense to bring them to the Spirit Crocodile Cliff behind the Seven Stars Sword Sect for cultivation.
“Well, it’s not a bad idea, but how will the results of the cultivation be divided?” Abel pondered for a moment, a cunning gleam appearing in his eyes.
“How about this? I can give you 0. 1% of all the cultivated Spirit Medicines,” Leo said with a smile.
Abel almost choked on his saliva when he heard Leo’s words.
Abel cursed, “0. 1%? Why don’t you go rob someone?”
Leo’s words surprised Fire Rose as well.
“At least 50%,” Abel said firmly, without a hint of doubt.
“50% is too much. How about 0. 5%?” Leo shook his head.
“0. 5%? That’s peanuts. At least 50%!” Abel insisted, feeling indignant.
“50% is impossible. Let me raise the offer a bit. How about 1%? That’s quite sincere, isn’t it?” Leo suggested.
“No, it’s still 50%,” Abel said, resolute.
“Hey, Abel, you’re demanding too much. You’re asking for the moon. If you don’t compromise, what’s the point of negotiating?” Leo became unhappy.
“Hmph, the problem is that your price is too low. It’s still 50-50. I provide the Spirit Medicine, and you provide the yield,” Abel refused to back down.
Seeing that Abel was unyielding, Leo felt somewhat speechless.
“Abel, since we can’t reach an agreement, let’s forget about splitting the yield. How about this? You provide me with one fruit, and when it matures and yields results, regardless of how many fruits grow, I’ll give you three. How does that sound?” Leo proposed.
“You provide me with one fruit, and I give you three?” Abel raised an eyebrow.
Abel knew very well that when WONDER found those fruits, most fruit trees only bore one or two fruits. The rare ones could yield three or four fruits.
Although it wasn’t particularly rare, the Spirit Fruits that bore more fruits usually had around four or five.
Although the conditions at the Spirit Crocodile Cliff were good, it was still unlikely to yield too many fruits. It would be impressive to yield seven or eight fruits.
If Leo provided one fruit and then returned three, Abel could reluctantly accept it.
