“It came naturally.” Leo sneered.
Phoul King grinned maliciously, “If heaven has a path, you don’t take it. If hell has no door, you’ll come willingly. It just so happens that I’m hungry from my nap. I’ll satisfy my hunger with your blood.”
“Is that so?” Leo remained calm, “Do you think with your meager cultivation, you can harm a single hair on my body?”
Phoul King was taken aback, clearly not expecting Leo to be so composed.
“Don’t be too arrogant with your words. Since you were able to enter this place, it means you have some skills. However, do you know how formidable I am?”
“How formidable?” Leo raised an eyebrow, full of disdain.
Phoul King stood up proudly, his tall figure accompanied by his armor, exuding an imposing presence. “I, Phoul King, have cultivated for a thousand years, my power transcending the mundane. Even if you’re a cultivator, I won’t fail to extinguish you!”
“You’re right, I am indeed a cultivator!” Leo said proudly.
Phoul King squinted his eyes, “Very well, it has been centuries since I last encountered a cultivator. The blood of a cultivator is the most delicious nourishment!”
Leo didn’t want to waste any more time with him and directly summoned a Thunder Talisman.
Phoul King showed no fear, standing firmly in place as he endured five thunderous strikes.
“Boom! Boom…!”
The power of the talismans dissipated, and the hall returned to calmness.
When Leo looked at Phoul King again, he couldn’t help but be stunned.
Phoul King was still standing there, completely unharmed by the five powerful thunder strikes.
Phoul King smirked, “Now you know how formidable I am, right?”
“Don’t get too cocky too soon. That was just an appetizer. If you have the guts, take on my next move!”
“Bring it on!” Phoul King was fearless.
Leo clasped his hands together, formed a hand seal, and shouted, “Suppressing Demons and Subduing Evil, Nine-Character Mantra, commence!”
“Boom!”
A white light burst forth from the hand seal, as immense as thunder, as startling as lightning, and as formidable as a sword, slashing towards Phoul King.
Phoul King finally changed his expression, “Nine-Character Mantra!”
“Boom!”
With a loud bang, the light sword struck Phoul King’s body.
Phoul King grunted, taking a step back, leaving deep furrows in the ground as if plowed by an iron plow.
Leo formed the hand seal again, “Attack!”
Another light sword slashed out, leaving Phoul King helpless as he took another step back.
When the Nine-Character Mantra hand seal of “Those who fight against an army shall advance” was completed, Phoul King had already retreated nine steps.
Looking at Phoul King, cracks had appeared on his dark armor.
Evidently, the Nine-Character Mantra had inflicted considerable damage on Phoul King.
Phoul King’s eyes turned sinister, “It seems I underestimated you, kid.”
After Phoul King finished speaking, a sharp and piercing howl echoed through the air.
Leo felt his eardrums tremble and pain sear through him. Just as he was about to cover his ears, Phoul King’s howl ceased.
Suddenly, a strange and scorching heat filled the hall, as if it had turned into a steaming pot in an instant, causing sweat to pour down.
Leo quickly looked at Phoul King and was horrified to see that the armor on Phoul King’s body was no longer dark but a eerie crimson, exuding billowing flames and terrifying heat.
“Kid, prepare to die!” Phoul King swung his right arm forcefully, and a domineering fire dragon roared out, its teeth and claws aiming to devour Leo.
Leo was greatly alarmed, without time for further thought, he clasped his hands together and unleashed his Spiritual Power, “Break!”
Amidst a thunderous roar, a radiant white light, carrying unparalleled power, surged towards the roaring fiery dragon.
Above the hall, two brilliantly colored lights collided violently, instantly merging into a dazzling and gigantic ball of multi-colored light.
Almost simultaneously, Phoul King and Leo’s expressions changed.
The multi-colored light ball only maintained a brief moment of stability before the conflicting energies inside it triggered a terrifying explosion.
“Boom…!”
A deafening roar, reminiscent of a nuclear blast, echoed in the hall as a powerful shockwave surged, instantly engulfing everything in the hall.
Leo grunted, unable to defend himself in time, and was sent flying, crashing heavily into the solid wall behind him.
Phoul King didn’t fare any better, as his massive body was buried under the collapsing wall.
The shockwave finally dissipated, and Leo felt his body go limp. He knelt on one knee, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
At this moment, Leo felt as if every bone in his body had been shattered. It was all pain, nothing but pain.
Such a powerful strike… Phoul King must have been completely obliterated, right?
That was what Leo thought.
However, reality was cruel. Suddenly, the ruins exploded, and Phoul King’s massive figure appeared once again in Leo’s line of sight.
Phoul King let out a hoarse and sinister laughter, swaying unsteadily for a moment but quickly regaining his footing. “Not bad for a cultivator, you’ve got some skills. However, you still can’t harm my vitality.”
Seeing that Leo seemed seriously injured, Phoul King took two steps forward, grinning maliciously. “It seems you’ve even lost the strength to speak. Well then, let me send you to the afterlife.”
Just as Phoul King was about to attack Leo again, Leo’s pale face suddenly turned rosy. He stood up abruptly, straightening his back.
Phoul King was taken aback. “You… you’re not injured?”
“That’s right,” Leo coldly chuckled, pretending to be strong.
Phoul King looked incredulous, completely losing control. “Take this, my Flame Dragon Strike!”
“You won’t get the chance!” Leo unleashed the Nine Abyss Suppresses Evil Peak and simultaneously activated the most powerful Thunder Talisman.
The immense and terrifying gravity caused Phoul King’s figure to pause.
The next moment, a ferocious and immensely powerful thunderbolt descended from the top of the hall, directly striking Phoul King’s head.
“Ah…!”
Phoul King let out an extremely desperate and shrill scream. As his armor shattered with a resounding crash, he was sent flying again, crashing heavily into the wall and finally falling into the ruins.
The ruins fell into silence, and Phoul King seemed to evaporate from the mortal realm, remaining motionless for a long time.
Just as Leo was about to approach and check, he heard a loud crash of crumbling rocks. A bloody and mangled black hand suddenly rose from the ruins.
Immediately after, a large amount of rocks and debris churned in the ruins, dust filling the air. Phoul King staggered, panting heavily, and stood up again.
Phoul King’s entire body was covered in bloody and mangled flesh, with hardly a complete spot left. He couldn’t be any more miserable.
“Don’t… don’t kill me. Spare… spare me, please. How… how about it?” Seeing Leo about to take action, Phoul King stuttered and begged for mercy.
“Do you think I would spare you?” Leo retorted.
“I have cultivated bitterly for a thousand years, and this little bit of power is hard-won. As long as you spare me, I’ll give you the vast treasures in this ancient tomb.”
Leo laughed heartily. “What a joke. I believe everything in this ancient tomb already belongs to me. How dare you use my things to bargain with me?”
Phoul King was instantly infuriated, his eyes rolling back in anger. “You… you…”
