Due to Caylee’s role as the financial manager and her frequent checks on Curtis’ company accounts, Curtis had no fondness for his sister-in-law.
When provoked by Curtis in public, Reuben lost his temper and punched Caylee in the eye without hesitation.
Caylee’s eye immediately turned into a black eye.
Having bullied Reuben for so long, Caylee never expected him to actually lay hands on her. She roared, “Damn it all! I’ll fight you!”
Caylee transformed into a tiger and pounced on Reuben recklessly.
Reuben’s arm was immediately caught by Caylee before she bit down hard enough to draw blood from his arm.
“Stinky bastard, I’ll fucking kill you!” Reuben lost his temper and bit back. He grabbed a handful of Caylee’s hair, trying to pull her mouth away from his arm.
In the process of pulling out a tuft of hair, Caylee was finally freed from Reuben’s grip.
By this time, Caylee had lost her sanity. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she howled sharply. She took off one of her high heels and lunged at Reuben again.
Reuben also lost his sanity. While being struck by the high heel on his body, his fists relentlessly struck Caylee.
This scene was truly astonishing to the onlookers passing by.
“Stop, stop it! Have you both gone crazy?” Vance, leaning on his cane, shouted angrily, but it was clear that it had no effect.
Watching Reuben and Caylee fighting, Willow felt a sense of satisfaction in avenging a great injustice. Tears finally uncontrollably rolled down her cheeks.
Curtis, who had been watching coldly, couldn’t resist adding fuel to the fire. He mockingly consoled, “Dad, you came here today for a medical check-up, don’t get so worked up. You know what kind of person my sister-in-law is. It’s time for big brother to teach her a lesson.”
Lennox Calder, the third son, whispered to Vance, “Dad, you should quickly bow down and then let that guy treat you. As long as your illness is cured, there will be plenty of opportunities to deal with Willow and her wild man in the future.”
Since he had come here, Vance knew that he had to bow down. Ignoring Reuben and Caylee, he looked at Willow and asked in a low voice, “Willow, I can bow down to apologize to your mother, but I’m afraid she won’t be able to bear my bow.”
Leo, who had been observing coldly, grew impatient. “If you’re supposed to bow down, then just do it. Why so much nonsense? If you don’t want to, then get out quickly and don’t waste my time.”
Vance turned to Leo and squeezed out a sentence from between his teeth, “I will bow down, of course. Mr. Bloomer, after I bow down, if you can cure my illness, I will never forget you for the rest of my life.”
Vance’s words carried a dual meaning, clearly implying a threat.
After speaking, Vance slowly knelt down with his aged body, facing the box of ashes held by Willow, and slowly bowed his upper body.
“Apologize!” Leo said coldly.
“I’m sorry!” Vance forcefully suppressed his inner emotions and quietly said the three words.
“I can’t hear you, speak louder!” Leo wouldn’t let him off so easily.
“I’m sorry!” Vance raised his voice.
This scene made Willow, holding the box of ashes, tremble uncontrollably. Tears fell from her eyes like broken beads.
Eighteen years, a whole eighteen years, she had finally waited for this moment.
Mom, if you can see from heaven, open your eyes and take a look. Vance has knelt down and apologized to you.
Mom, if you see this scene, you can rest in peace.
Mom, at this moment, I should be happy for you, but why do I feel so miserable?
Mom, I miss you!
Willow couldn’t control herself any longer. Her emotions collapsed, and she threw herself into Leo’s arms, sobbing loudly.
For so many years, she had suffered too much injustice, pressure, and pain all by herself.
It could be said that she had been relying on a strong obsession for the past eighteen years.
When everything could finally be let go, the disguise of strength completely disappeared, and she could return to her true self.
Leo gently embraced her, patting her back slowly, without saying a word to comfort her.
Leo knew that at this moment, Willow didn’t need any comforting words. All she needed was a shoulder she could rely on.
“Mr. Bloomer, can you treat my father now?” Curtis urged anxiously.
“What about them?” Leo glanced at Reuben and Caylee, who were still fighting.
“Go and separate the two of them and bring them over to kowtow!” Vance impatiently ordered.
Since he had already kowtowed, the Calder family’s reputation had already been ruined.
The second and third sons quickly ran over and pulled apart Reuben and Caylee. The two of them seemed to still want to fight, struggling and shouting angrily at each other.
Both of them were in a sorry state. Reuben’s face was covered in blood and pockmarks, with bloodstains and scars all over. His entire face was ruined.
Caylee didn’t fare any better. Her eyes were swollen, only a narrow slit remained, blood gushing from her nose, her mouth swollen, making it impossible to see her original appearance.
Reuben still had a trace of sanity left. Upon hearing Vance’s instructions, he quickly came forward and knelt in front of Willow’s mother’s ashes, kowtowing and apologizing.
Caylee, who was already in a state of madness, was disoriented, kicking and biting at his brothers.
The second and third brothers didn’t go easy on her either. One of them twisted her arm, pressing her shoulder, as if escorting a prisoner in ancient times, they escorted her to Willow’s side, then forcefully banged her head on the ground three times.
Because it was the second and third brothers who made her kowtow with anger, their strength naturally had to be heavier.
After kowtowing, blood flowed from Caylee’s head, and she felt dizzy, almost passing out.
Leo found this whole family quite interesting. They were so ruthless to their own family members, which was admirable.
Since the Calder family had kowtowed, Leo fulfilled his promise and allowed Vance to enter the clinic. He performed acupuncture on him and then prescribed four bottles of his own formulated pills for him to take regularly. After one month, he would be able to recover.
At first, Vance was somewhat skeptical, but after the acupuncture was finished, he felt much better, his whole body felt lighter, as if he had returned to his state before getting sick.
He never expected Leo’s medical skills to be so good, but unfortunately, he offended the Calder family, and Leo had only one path left to him, death.
After seeing off the Calder family, Leo turned to Willow, whose eyes were slightly swollen, and asked softly, “Are you tired?”
Willow sniffed and shook her head, looking at Leo with gratitude on her face. “Mr. Bloomer, thank you so much this time. Thank you for helping me fulfill my and my mother’s wish for so many years.”
