However there were couple of footsteps coming towards the room in a while. I hide in the blanket as inside as I could. I clutched the blanket hard as if my life depends on it. I closed my eyes and my heart beat was so loud. I took deep breathes and tried to calm my heart. Please calm down if you want to beat a longer. I scolded my own heart. Please calm down, everything will be fine. A part of me was trying to calm me down.
But the another one was freaked out like hell. As the sound was coming closer it also started to scare my mind. I was even gritting my teeth in fear of those scary things. To add more fear, all the scary image of those vampires come on my mind.
The doorstep came bit by bit closer to me and stood right next to me. As it stopped my heart also froze there to not letting know that I was here. I know i might be childish now but I was scared so much.
After few seconds someone grabbed my blanket and pulled it away and I freaked out. I know it was those monsters coming for my blood.
“Arrhhhhhhh “I pushed one of them hardly ran out of room. Outside was long hallway, I ran and ran through the never ending corridor freaked the hell out of me. In a while i heard someone running behind me and shouting something.
“Help me…” I shouted as I turned right side. I reached an end and there was a long stair leading down to the big hall and then in front of it was the door. I looked there, lights were coming inside from the gap of the door. I know that was it. I have to ran through that door just outside of it and I was free. I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of being free from these blood drinking monsters.
I ran from the stairs to reach the hall. But the stair onlu was so long. I could heart the footsteps coming closer and closer and I really was freaking out. I ran my heart out scared of being caught.
As I was reaching to the end of the stairs, I misplaced my foot at the edge if one of the stairs and my foot slipped leading me to make my body disbalanced. I tried to hold on to the rod at the side but I couldn’t get a hold of it and I directly reached down to the hall.
I fall so hard on my back. It started to hurt, even though I couldn’t think anything else but escape. I worked up myself and got up on my legs. I moved towards the door hardly able to walk like before. My back was hurting so much and more than that I was scared.
I finally reached the door and touched the handle. The door was so big like some palace door. I tried to pull it open but it wouldn’t budge a bit. I shook it but it was of no use. My eyes tearing up as my tries were going to vain. I felt my energy were draining out of me and my vision was going blur again. I got panicked at the thought of passing out again. No, I can’t pass out here. My breathing got heaving as I tried to open the door…
I could hear the footsteps coming near and near me. I was still holding the door handle tha won’t open even a bit. When I felt the vampire was so near me I couldn’t stand there just like that, I ran aside. I don’t know where i was running but I was running. All I want was run as far as I could from that monster.
I didn’t look back. The man behind me was saying something, screaming but I didn’t listened to him and ran. Soon I reached an end there. I reached the kitchen. There was no more place to run from here and that monster was just behind me.. I took the pan and throw it towards the direction.
“Stop, hey…” the man screamed but I didn’t.
I took another plate and throw it to him. I took some more pots and throw it away. “Leave me alone. Go away” I screamed to the monster. I threw it to that non stop.
Soon there were no plates or cups left there. I look at the table, there were some knives left now. I couldn’t think twice, I took the knife in hand and swing it to that monster. It didn’t hurt him at all. He caught it in the air and throw it away and then he started to come towards my direction.
I ran to another side and I saw two legs stooped right in front of me. I backed off and ran another direction and there was another pair of legs there. Now I was trapped, I was going to die here. I looked around and saw a knife lying on the floor a bit away from the place I was standing right now. I ran towards it with all my strength I have left on my body but before I could pick it up, someone held me from back.
I was freaking scared that I started to kicking and use my hands to hit the man. “Leave me alone”
“Let me go.”
“I don’t want to die. Let go you monster”
I screamed and kicked as if I was some brat. I then the man let go of me for real. He really leave me on the floor. I looked slowly back then I saw a man there and it was no other than Mr Gold. He had his eyes furrowed. He seemed to be angry at me. My heart froze at the image of him. I don’t know what to think or feel. I felt a mixed of emotions inside of me.
I felt safe, I felt joy, I felt like I have finally seen saviour and I know I wasn’t going to die here. My heart got heavier by each seconds and my eyes felt warm and soon a tear rolled down my cheek following by a stream of tears.
And just like that I was in tears before I know. He looked at me and his face softened. He came forward and take me in his arms, he hugged me. I felt warm, safe and home in his arms. I couldn’t help but to cry as he slowly stroked my hair. I cried my heart out kneeling in front of him.. He didn’t make fun of me, instead he kneel too and softly patted my shoulder reassuring I was safe all the while I was crying.
After a few while he softly spoke in my ear. He said “Sorry, I couldn’t protect you ” . His tone was so heavy and filled with sadness as if he was crying. I couldn’t help but to look up to him.
He smiled a bit at me as he cupped my face as I looked up. “You are safe now. No one will do anything to you. Don’t worry I’m here” he said.
I shed more tears at his words, it was not because of sadness but it was because of the safely I feel inside of my heart.
I lowered my face , I don’t want him to see my this ugly and crying face anymore. But he lift my head up and wiped off tears of my face.
He than got up as he helped me up from the floor. I had no more energy left by now, so I stumbled as I got up. He bent down and pick me up in his arms.
“arhhh” I put my arms around his neck and closed my eyes as i was in air. But since i was in his arms, I felt so safe and assured.
He took a few steps and then then stopped after a few while. “Open your eyes” he commanded.
I shook my head. I was still not over of all those things and I don’t want to see anything now.
“I’m here”he said softly. And that word make me so safe that I actually opened my eyes and looked in front of me.
In front of me was Liam and a elderly man standing there.
“He is Mr Frank. He is the chef here. ” Mr Gold introduced me.
I looked at the man, he was around his fifty. He smiled at me warmly and I felt good vibes coming out from him , so I smiled back at him.
