When I was about to knock at his office thr door opened and Ethan pulled into a tight hug.
“Arhh get away from me. I’m not your mate. ” I tried to take him off me but he won’t let me go. I almost choked myself to death as he squeezed me.
“How are you brother? ” he asked breaking the hug.
“Much better after you almost chocked me. ” I rolled my eyes at him.
“Hehe” he begin to scratch his head.
“Dad” I went up to my dad who was smiling at us brothers.
I gave him a big hug and he accepted it with open arms.
“How are you? ” he asked.
“Fine. ”
I went to the sofa and sat with dad. Mom and Ethan also joined the couch and we all started talking.
“Mom, how is everything going?”I asked.
“Both of you stay away from pack all the time. We have increased the security at the patrol. Your dad is aging day by day. I don’t think Blue Moon Pack can handle another attack like this. ” she said with a serious tone. And of course she was right. I have my misson to fulfill before staying in my pack and Ethan , he was constantly out after he found his mate.
“Hey, are you saying that I’m not young enough ? You know I can handle anything, you know how strong I’m. Do I need to show my power to you now? ” he marched towards mom.
“Eww you two, go get a room. ” Ethan shrunk his face.
Dad went up to mom and kissed in her cheek and mom, she blushed at that kiss like a teenager.
“When did you came here? ” I asked Ethan.
“Umm just a while ago. I just dropped off Cami to her work and I came here. ”
“Did she met dad and mom? ”
“No… She is so bg everytime. You know her work right? ”
“Saturday and Sundays are off. Take her to visit the pack and our parents. ”
“And what about you? ”
“What about me? ”
“You asked me to not to tell her that you are Ri.. ”
I quickly covered his mouth with my hands.
“What Ri? ” Dad asked.
I glared at Ethan and let go his mouth.
“If you can’t lie be ready to say goodbye to your mate, family and everyone. ” I threatened him.
“No not Ri… Cami, I mean Camila. I was thinking if I could get her here meet you guys at this weekend.” he said with nervousness in his voice.
“Ohh really? I’m so excited to meet her. I’m so bored here with you boys. Finally I’ll have some female companion .” mom said with lots of excitement.
“Honey, she’ll be here only for a while. ” Dad said as he put his hands on her shoulder.
“Of course I know that. But even that will be a relief. I’ll ask her to visit more frequently at weekends.” Mom said her heart out. I know she had always wanted a daughter to pamper . But sadly I and Ethan came to her arms.
“Why don’t we get them married and then you’ll get to see her everyday. ” Dad said looking at her with so much love in his eyes.
“That will be amazing. Don’t you think Ethan? ” mom asked him with a eyes full of hope.
“Mom dad, slow down please. We just met a while ago. First let me make her visit you guys first and them we will think about marriage. ” he said.
“Why don’t you marry her soon. She’s the one choosen for you, you guys will be married anyway. Why are you thinking? ” I tried to pull his leg.
“Yes that will be awesome. I can’t wait to have a daughter in law. At least I’ll have one. ” she said glaring her eyes at me.
I was kinda used to these so u didn’t gave much attention to it.
“Have you guys eaten? ” I asked to change the topic.
“You are just changing the topic. Aren’t you? ” mom caught my thought on the spot.
“Don’t tease my son. ” Dad said as he hugged me .
“When are you going back? I’m sure you are not staying here more than couple of days. ” he said turning to me.
“Ahh dad, I forgot to tell you, I’m returning in a while. I have something going on there. I just kinda missed you and mom. So I came by to see you guys. ”
“I thought you’ll be staying for a few days not few hours. ” he said jokingly.
“You don’t have even a few hours for us? ” momma said emotionally.
I was quite because I really don’t have any answers to that.
“Mom, don’t be too emotional.. Why don’t we go and cook something for him before he leaves ?” Ethan said to Mom.
Mom nodded and went down stairs to cook for me.
Now I and dad were alone in the office.
“When are you going to be the alpha? You know son, everyone is waiting for you. “dad asked me.
“You know dad I can’t now. I really need to find her… Before I become the Alpha. ” I said “You know it all along. ”
Dad didn’t said anything. Now he was quite but I can see he had a lot in his mind. His face was telling that he was not happy at all.
“What if… ” he stopped halfway.
“What dad…. ”
“Nothing son, leave it. ”
“You know you can share anything with me, even your thoughts. ” I said looking at his direction.
He got silent for a few while before blurting out something that make me think that’s way.
“What if she never gets found? ”
“Why wouldn’t she dad? I’ll find her even of she is under the mud, I’ll find her wherever she is in this world. Believe me dad. ” I said tightening the grip around his hand strong.
“What if she’s really under the mud? ” dad said and I felt my heart stopped beating right after I heard what he said. I never thought that way, what if?????? No no no… It can’t be right? I can’t let it happen….
But again what can I do if… If…
I was finding it hard to even breathe properly now.
Don’t think about it. Nothing will happen to her. You’ll find her. She’ll be fine. – Ray tried to calm me down but it was a bit hard.
I have never thought that before. I was so focused on the ways to find her out . I have thought about many possibilities that might happen to her back then but never once I thought about this one.
“I’m son. Don’t think about it. You’ll definitely find her. ” Dad patted my shoulder and I feel my shoulder so heavy as if it was some rock with thousands of pound containing inside it.
“Let’s go downstairs. Your mom must be waiting for us. ” he said.
I nodded at him and we both walked out of his office and walked down the stairs to the kitchen.
When we reached there, mom was making my favorite cookies and Ethan was having them sitting on the table.
Moms face become gloomy as she saw me.
“Did I make you sad? ” he asked me concerned.
“No mom, I’m alright. ” I tried to smile but the things on my head was so loud that I can barely avoid them. Ethan also gave me questioning look.
I moved in and acted as if nothing was wrong with me. But boy was I wrong. I was a very bad actor and my emotions barely hided from them.
Mom gave a plate of freshly baked cookies to us and I began to eat non stop to avoid their questioning looks.
” When are you going back? “I asked Ethan still not looking at him into the eyes.
“Uhh me? Ohh I’ll stay here I guess but you know I’m never sure about what I’m gonna do. ” he said being so proud of himself.
“Son, are you going to visit your Uncle John? ” mom asked.
I was thinking to pay him a visit since I was back but now after the conversion with dad I dare not to I really need some time alone. I can’t face him now.
“I don’t think dad. I have lots of thing going on back at A city. I’ll visit him next time. ” I said.
“OK son. ” mom nodded.
When I was done with the cookies, I said i was leaving now and they all nodded. I saw my mom’s eyes have a bit of tears in them.
“I’ll visit you as soon as I have free time. ” I said and she smiled between her tears.
I hugged them together and then come out of the pack house.
