Chapter 891 Soul-Calling Lantern

The metals and ores stored here can only be used to refine magic tools of upper, middle, and lower grades at best. Therefore, they were not very useful to Leo.
After all, Leo already had his attack weapon – the spiritual weapon Purple Radiance – as well as the upper-grade magic tool Blue Phantom Sword.
Leo browsed through everything quickly. It only took him seven or eight minutes to look over all the metals and ores here.
The result was obvious: Leo didn’t find anything that interested him.
Abel looked at Fire Rose and Thunder Dragon with a smile and said, “You two did an excellent job on your last mission. If you want any metal or ore, go ahead and pick it out.”
Fire Rose and Thunder Dragon glanced at each other with joy on their faces. They both replied in unison, “Thank you for your leadership.”
Fire Rose and Thunder Dragon were both supernaturals. Their cultivation was different from that of Spiritual Cultivators or Martial Cultivators; they relied on absorbing specific energies. Many of the ores here contained the energy they needed.
Fire Rose chose a piece of ore containing fire attribute energy while Thunder Dragon chose one containing thunder attribute energy.
Leo returned to Abel with disappointment written all over his face, “There’s nothing here that interests me. Take me to another area.”
“These metals and ores are rare treasures; are you sure there’s nothing you like?” Abel asked somewhat surprisedly.
Leo nodded his head, “They’re good things but not very useful for me.”
After pondering for a moment, Abel decided to do him a favor, “If you’re worried about taking back useless metals or ores, why don’t you choose some materials that suit your needs? I’ll have WONDER Weapon forge a suitable weapon for you.”
Leo wasn’t foolish enough to accept this favor easily; he replied calmly, “Let’s see what other areas have first.”
“Okay then let’s continue looking,” said Abel.
From Leo’s reaction, Abel knew that ordinary things couldn’t catch his attention easily – it seemed like if he wanted Leo to join WONDER, he would need pay quite heavily.
Fire Rose and Thunder Dragon selected the good ores and handed them over to the transport robots, which will automatically deliver the ores to the warehouse management personnel for outbound registration.
Passing through the metal and ore storage area, a short corridor appeared ahead, capable of accommodating five people walking abreast, leading to a password-protected door.
After entering the password, the door opened automatically.
Pointing ahead, Abel said, “This is the storage area for weapons and some peculiar items. Not only does it contain weapons collected by WONDER since its establishment, but also weapons developed by the WONDER Weapon Development Department. Feel free to look around and take anything you like.”
This storage area, smaller than the previous metal and ore storage, didn’t contain shelves but waist-high stone platforms with iron racks for displaying various weapons.
Leo stepped forward, quickly browsing while releasing Spiritual Power to sense.
After five or six minutes, Leo still wore an uninterested and disappointed expression.
“Leo, any weapon taken from here would make a Martial Cultivator envious. Are you telling me that none of these interest you?” Fire Rose noticed Leo’s expression, sounding rather displeased.
Abel signaled Thunder Dragon, who stepped forward, took a sword from the stone platform, and lightly swung it.
The hard stone platform, under the sword’s edge, was easily cut like tofu.
At the right time, Abel said, “The sword Thunder Dragon holds is called Aurora, made from a very special meteorite, capable of slicing through iron like mud.”
Hearing this, Leo chuckled, looked at Thunder Dragon, flipped his right hand, and Purple Radiance appeared.
“Thunder Dragon, raise the sword in your hand.”
Abel immediately understood what Leo intended to do and signaled Thunder Dragon to lift the sword.
Fire Rose watched Leo’s peculiar and oddly colored dagger with curiosity.
Leo swung his right hand, and a purple light flashed.
With a crisp “clang,” Thunder Dragon’s Aurora sword broke in half, the upper part falling and sticking slantwise into the ground.
Abel, Fire Rose, Thunder Dragon, and Tower’s expressions froze instantly.
“Leo, what material is your sword made of? It’s even sharper than the Aurora sword!” Abel asked incredulously.
Leo sheathed Purple Radiance and replied, “I have no idea what material it is, but it’s definitely better than any of the weapons here.”
“Do you still find nothing in here worth your attention?” Abel persistently asked.
After witnessing it, Abel’s confidence in Leo joining WONDER diminished.
Leo nodded and then walked to the back of the weapon area. Here, various strange and rare items were placed on stone platforms.
Leo’s gaze was quickly drawn, and he couldn’t help but say, “I didn’t expect there to be so many Exotic Beast Elemental Pills stored here. Tsk tsk, WONDER’s Hidden Vault is truly remarkable.”
In front of Leo was a stone platform displaying various Exotic Beast Elemental Pills. Each type of pill was stored in a specially designed transparent container labeled with the corresponding exotic beast’s name, indicating which beast the elemental pill belonged to.
Leo roughly estimated the total number of elemental pills on the stone platform to be at least four or five hundred.
When Leo had visited the Hidden Vault of the Lynd family, there were less than twenty elemental pills in total, and those were the collections of the Lynd family over hundreds of years.
Therefore, the presence of four or five hundred elemental pills here astonished Leo. The strength of WONDER was truly incomparable to ordinary martial cultivator families.
Seeing Leo’s interest in the Exotic Beast Elemental Pills, Abel quickly said, “Leo, if you like these elemental pills, as long as you join WONDER, you can choose as you please.”
Leo shook his head. “Let’s continue looking for now.”
Leo’s gaze then wandered around the area filled with strange and rare items.
Soon, his attention was captivated once again. What caught his eye were three ancient lamp-like objects.
The ancient lamps were pitch black and glossy, resembling antiques unearthed from a tomb.
After obtaining Abel’s permission, Leo took one of the ancient lamps and carefully examined it.
When Leo’s hand touched the ancient copper lamp, three words immediately surfaced in his mind-Soul-Calling Lantern!
A look of astonishment appeared on Leo’s face.
Abel had been observing his expression closely, and upon seeing his surprise, he curiously asked, “Leo, do you know what this lamp is?”
