Angus nodded gratefully and checked his wristwatch. “Thank you, Dr. Bloomer. I’ve already reserved a table at the restaurant. Would you like to join me for dinner?”
Leo didn’t refuse.
As they were about to leave, a guy rushed in frantically.
“Hey Dad, what happened to my mom?” he exclaimed.
He was a young man around Leo’s age with a trendy hairstyle and dressed in casual attire that accentuated his handsome features and long legs.
Upon closer inspection of his facial features, it was clear that Oakley Booth was definitely Angus’ son as he had the same nose and mouth as him.
“Oakley, why did you come back?” Angus asked with surprise but more love in his eyes than anything else.
Oakley, as if he hadn’t heard his father’s words, anxiously called out, “Dad, where’s Mom? What happened to her?”
Angus, in a relaxed manner, said, “Your mom had a little problem with her health, but Dr. Bloomer has already treated her. Oakley, haven’t you met Dr. Bloomer yet?”
“Dr. Bloomer? Where is he?” Oakley looked around, confused. There was Eric in the room, as well as a young guy, but no doctor.
Angus became somewhat displeased and pointed at Leo, saying, “This is Dr. Bloomer, the one who cured your mother’s illness. Don’t you have anything to say to Dr. Bloomer?”
Oakley’s gaze once again fell on Leo, his eyes filled with suspicion.
Seeing Oakley disrespectfully staring at Leo, Angus sternly called out, “Oakley!”
Oakley seemed somewhat afraid of his father and reluctantly said, “Dr. Bloomer.”
While Oakley was looking at Leo, Leo was also observing him.
Leo found it strange because when this guy entered earlier, there was a strong negative energy around him.
This kind of overwhelming negative energy was not something ordinary people could perceive.
After activating his Spiritual Power and examining Oakley with his eyes, Leo understood.
It seemed that this family was having a tough year. Oakley had been contaminated, not by possessing spirits, but by being targeted by them.
Similarly, being targeted by spirits was a very terrifying thing.
Leo nodded and smiled at him, “Oakley, hello. Mr. Booth, Mr. Lynd, let’s go.”
Before leaving, Angus glared at Oakley, “Why are you just standing there? Go eat first. Your mother is resting in the hospital room, don’t disturb her!”
In a high-end restaurant, both Eric and Angus showered Leo with compliments, truly overflowing with flattery.
This scene was quite bizarre. Just imagine, two middle-aged men in their fifties, one successful in his career and the other holding real power, trying to please and flatter a young man who was almost the same age as their son.
If someone who didn’t know the situation saw this, they would definitely think they had encountered a group of lunatics.
Among them, Oakley had the most unpleasant expression. Seeing Eric and his father trying so hard to please a young man with an unknown background, he truly couldn’t understand it.
In general, his father would only treat that Master Webb in such a manner, the venerable old man with an air of immortality.
Oakley had personally witnessed the miraculous geomancy techniques displayed by Master Webb when their ancestral grave had problems.
That extraordinary scene had left a deep impression on Oakley. Even now, he could vividly recall it and couldn’t forget it.
According to his father and Eric, the young man before them was not only a traditional medicine doctor but also knowledgeable in geomancy. Oakley found it hard to believe.
However, the undeniable facts were right in front of him, and he couldn’t help but believe it.
Oakley knew well his father’s ability to judge people. He wouldn’t be fooled by a scammer.
After a satisfying meal, Leo suddenly said, “Mr. Booth, there’s something dirty on Oakley.”
Something dirty?
Oakley quickly checked himself but didn’t find anything dirty.
Angus understood what Leo meant by “something dirty.” His right hand, holding the wine glass, trembled involuntarily. At this moment, he had no doubts about Leo’s words.
This also directly caused his recently improved mood to plummet instantly. He couldn’t understand how, after his beloved wife had been saved from death’s door, his son was now having problems.
Could it be that he had committed some grave sins in his past life, or had he done something to incur the wrath of the heavens in this life?
“Dr. Bloomer, don’t scare me. What’s wrong with Oakley?” Angus’s breathing became somewhat labored. If this continued, he might just have a heart attack.
On the other hand, Oakley retorted, “Dr. Bloomer, don’t make things up. I’ve been feeling fine recently, eating well, sleeping soundly, and no health issues!”
Leo smiled and said, “Oakley, let me ask you, have you been unusually tired around noon, but unable to fall asleep no matter how much you lay in bed?”
These words caused Oakley’s eyes to widen, a look of disbelief on his face. He asked in surprise, “How did you know!?”
Oakley was staying at the school, and he had come back today specifically because of his mother’s situation. Even Oakley’s parents were unaware of this problem that had been bothering him for quite some time.
This extreme fatigue combined with insomnia was truly more agonizing than torture, and medications were completely ineffective.
Leo didn’t answer Oakley’s question but looked at Angus and calmly said, “Mr. Booth, no need to worry, it’s just a minor problem.”
“Please, Dr. Bloomer, help us once again!” Angus stood up.
The group returned to the hospital, and to avoid disturbing Angus’s wife’s rest, Leo had Angus stay in a separate ward. They then moved all the items used for the ritual from the previous room, such as incense burners, yellow paper, and joss sticks.
Although Leo was still somewhat tired after adjusting for the duration of a meal, resolving the problem on Oakley’s body was not difficult. So Leo decided to help them to the end.
After everything was prepared, Leo began drawing talismans.
In less than ten minutes, five talismans were completed.
Oakley, on the other hand, became quite interested in what Leo was doing. While curiously observing, his suspicions toward Leo diminished significantly.
When they left the hotel, Leo brought back a bottle of wine. After finishing the talismans, he found a bowl and poured half of the wine into it. Then he took one of the talismans and placed it in the bowl.
The talisman quickly became soaked with the wine and sank to the bottom of the bowl.
As Leo touched the bowl, the strong alcohol inside suddenly ignited, and the flames burned fiercely.
Strangely, even though they stood close to the flames, they couldn’t feel any scorching heat.
Soon, the flames extinguished, and in the bowl, a quarter of the wine remained.
Leo held the bowl and handed it to Angus, saying, “Mr. Booth, Mr. Lynd, wipe the wine on your eyelids, and later you will be able to see the ‘something dirty’ I mentioned.”
