Simon shook his head nervously and said, “No matter how much money you offer me, I can’t do it…” Simon was an old employee of Rosemary’s and the Fanny family. He used to work with Rosemary’s mother, but after Rosemary started her own business, he followed her. For over twenty years now, he had been serving the Fanny family and they had always treated him well.
Rosemary trusted him a lot which was why she entrusted him with the secret formula for Beautiful Visage. If he were to sell this formula to Raiden, then Simon would be betraying Rosemary who had been kind to him all these years.
That was why Simon had made up his mind before coming here that no matter how much money Raiden offered him; he would not betray Rosemary. If it weren’t for Raiden’s two henchmen dragging him here forcefully, Simon wouldn’t have come at all.
“Simon, are you one of those people who submit to my pressure after first turning down my request?” Raiden rolled up his sleeves and picked up a bottle as if about to hit Simon.
Simon closed his eyes and became calm, “Even if you kill me now, I won’t give you the formula!”
“You f*cking…!” As soon as Raiden raised his hand ready to strike down on Simon with the bottle in hand, he immediately stopped himself from doing so. He sneered coldly instead and placed the bottle back on the table, “Fine! You’ve got some guts! Looks like I’ll have to show you something.”
Raiden took out several photos from his bag and threw them in front of Simon, “Open your eyes wide and take a good look at these photos! Isn’t that your grandson?”
When Simon heard this statement, his body trembled slightly as he grabbed one of those pictures in front of him. The photo was taken outside a kindergarten because many children had gathered there after school hours including his grandson.
One photo showed an unfamiliar man handing out lollipops to children including giving one piece each for his grandchild too!
Simon suddenly felt uneasy when recognized that man. It was one of those two men who brought him here just now!
“If you dare touch my grandson, then I’ll fight against you!” With anger rising inside himself, Simon’s face turned red while shouting furiously towards Raiden.
“Fight? Don’t make me laugh! What do you have?” Sneering coldly again, Raiden’s voice sounded even more sinister than before, “Let me tell ya something… I know where your son-in-law works too! If anything happens which displeases me or if they don’t agree with what we want them too, then maybe they might meet some accidents!”
“You… you’re shameless!” Suddenly standing up, Simon’s face turned red due mixed emotions such as anger, fear, and frustration.
Twenty minutes later, Raiden left the private room and walked to a secluded corner to call Lawrence.
“Mr. Lytton, everything is taken care of. We have the secret formula,” Raiden boasted.
“Are you sure it’s the secret formula for Beautiful Visage?” Lawrence’s heart skipped a beat, but he still asked cautiously.
“Don’t worry. Simon wouldn’t dare fool me!” Raiden reassured him.
“Well done. Contact the factory we acquired a few days ago and start mass production. We aim to launch it on the market this week.”
“Our new product will be called Visage Beauty and will be priced at half of Beautiful Visage’s price. Got it?”
“Absolutely, Mr. Lytton. Just sit back and watch us work our magic,” Raiden chuckled before hanging up.
After ending the call, Lawrence looked at Rosemary’s secretly taken photo with a cold smile on his face, “Leo, Rosemary, let’s have some fun as our show begins.”
Time flew by quickly for Leo as Wilde Jewelry Group’s chief advisor; it was time for his monthly search for gemstones again after dropping Sophia off at work that morning instead of going straight to his clinic.
As the car reached halfway, Coral suddenly called Leo and told him not to go jade hunting today but to visit her home instead. She didn’t explicitly mention why he should come to her place, only urging Leo to come quickly.
When Leo saw Coral outside her house, he was pleasantly surprised. Today, Coral wasn’t wearing her professional attire; instead, she was in a red dress. The dress had a beautiful pleated hem, sleeveless, and with a low neckline.
Coral’s silky hair was elegantly styled to one side, and from a distance, she looked like a delicate red rose in full bloom. Not only that, Leo also noticed that she had applied a more pronounced makeup today, showcasing a mature, charming, and alluring appearance to the fullest.
After Coral got into his car, Leo couldn’t help teasing her, “Miss Wilde, are you dressing up so beautifully? Because you’re going on a blind date?”
“If I were going on one, would I bring you along?” Coral rolled her eyes at him before saying, “And how many times do I need to tell you? Don’t call me Miss Wilde.”
“All right then… where are we headed?”
“A class reunion.”
Those simple words almost made Leo choke on his own saliva, “A class reunion?! If I go with you, won’t that be inappropriate?”
“I said you’re suitable, so you’re suitable.” Coral exercised her decision-making power fully, not giving Leo any room for choice.
Since he was already here, if Leo were to leave now, wouldn’t that be disrespectful to his boss?
So Leo could only reluctantly agree and then invite Coral into the car. Following her guidance, they arrived at the Antique River Hotel.
After parking in the underground garage, they took the elevator directly to the fifth floor.
The moment they stepped out of the elevator, it gave off a feeling of grandeur and luxury.
The class reunion was held in a luxurious private room called Quiet & Elegant. Stylishly dressed waitresses led them towards their private room along the way.
Leo really enjoyed himself on this walk as he saw many beautiful women among these waitresses with high heels and black stockings showing off their curvy figures which were quite tempting indeed!
When they entered the luxurious private room, there were already quite a few people sitting inside, both men and women chatting with each other happily.
As soon as Coral and Leo entered through one of its doors near where some people sat by it stood up immediately. One man smiled and said, “Coral! You finally made it! Oh… who’s this?”
“My boyfriend,” replied Coral naturally.
“What?!” The man speaking was surprised enough to open his mouth wide in shock.
“Wow Coral! When did you get yourself a boyfriend? That’s not fair; how could you keep us classmates out of your loop like that?” A woman exclaimed loudly like she had just discovered something new.
“Yeah Coral! Come clean; just recently you were all alone without anyone around. How did this happen suddenly?” Another woman chimed in agreement.
“Haha, Briceson, let’s bet on it. I knew that Coral would bring her boyfriend along with her today; looks like there is no chance for you!” A cute girl next to another guy teased playfully.
Everyone seemed to have found a new topic now as they started discussing about this question while ignoring completely those two involved parties present right before them.
After the man who spoke first expressed his surprise, he quickly stepped forward to shake hands with Leo and introduced himself. His name was Jerry Hemingway.
