“Hmph, you guys want to eat and drink? I don’t think you’ll be able to stomach it later!” Travis sneered and pulled a chair to guard the door.
When Sandra came in and saw his posture, she couldn’t help but be startled. She laughed when she saw blood all over his face. “What’s wrong with you? Are you acting?”
“I’ll act out your mother!” Travis was furious and raised the bottle in his hand, ready to smash it on Sandra’s head.
“Sandra!” Marina’s heart tightened as she blurted out.
“Bang!”
The bottle in Travis’ hand hadn’t even landed on Sandra’s head yet when it was shattered by something.
Travis turned his head towards the wall, only to see a fork sticking out of it.
In other words, the thing that shattered the bottle was that fork on the wall!
Travis couldn’t help but take a cold breath and felt chills down his spine when he looked at Leo again because he knew that Leo had thrown that fork.
Sandra was scared by what just happened and ran over to Marina. She glared at Travis and cursed him. “You lunatic thug! Wait until our young master comes here; let him deal with you!”
As soon as Sandra finished speaking, they heard a man’s voice outside of their private room saying, “Why are you eating here? What happened?”
Looking towards where the sound came from, they saw Baldwin walking in with Levi, his bodyguard, beside him.
Seeing obvious signs of fighting inside their private room made Baldwin frown involuntarily.
Before Baldwin could ask any questions again, Travis rushed up to him crying, “Mr. Meredith! You finally came! I almost got beaten up here!”
“Who are you?” The sight of blood all over Travis’ face disgusted Baldwin who stepped back involuntarily.
Quickly taking out his business card from his pocket for Baldwin, he introduced himself, “Mr. Meredith, I’m an employee under your company. I’m called Travis Conley, and now I work as Willa Cosmetics’ marketing department manager.”
Baldwin didn’t reach out for Travis’ business card; instead he lowered his head briefly before asking, “So, you’re Willa Cosmetics’ marketing manager. What did you say earlier? You almost got beaten up? Who wanted to beat you?”
Upon hearing Baldwin’s “concerned” words, Travis immediately regained confidence. He pointed at Leo first, “It’s this guy!”
Then he pointed to Marina and Sandra, “And her and her friend over there!”
Baldwin’s arrival made Rosemary nervous. She quickly stood up and explained to Baldwin, “Mr. Meredith, things are not what he said they were…”
Rosemary didn’t finish her sentence before Leo pulled her back down onto the chair. “I told you earlier not to worry about it. Eat your food and drink your drink.”
Leo knew that if he was alone here today, Baldwin might not give him face; in fact, he might even take advantage of the situation.
But with Marina here, the situation was completely different. After all, Baldwin’s beloved sister was his weakness.
It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that Baldwin doted on his sister like crazy. And Travis dared disrespect his dear little sister. The consequences were predictable.
Baldwin looked at Travis with a deep gaze and asked with a hint of playfulness and coldness in his voice, “Are you sure they beat you?”
Travis nodded vigorously then pointed at his nose saying, “Mr. Meredith! Look at my nose! They hit me! Not only did they hit me but they also insulted you!”
Travis sneaked a glance at Leo as he spoke thinking: Bastard, you’ve offended me so just wait for death now.
Baldwin glanced at his own sister then calmly said to Travis, “Since they want to beat you dead, then go ahead die already so that it saves them some effort.”
When this sentence entered Travis’ ears, it made him stunned for a moment wondering if he had heard wrong.
“Mr. Meredith… what did.. did you say?” asked Travis incredulously.
“I said…” Suddenly Baldwin grabbed hold of Travis’ collar dragging him towards himself before roaring into his ear, “You better hurry up and die now!”
After yelling out loud, Baldwin let go of Travis’ collar pushing him away from himself. Travis screamed as he fell backwards onto the ground feeling ringing in both ears while experiencing pain on both eardrums simultaneously.
Without looking back at Travis again, Baldwin walked over next to Marina sitting down beside her while showing a gentle smile on his face whispering softly, “My dear sister, I’m sorry I’m late.”
Sister!?
Travis shuddered violently, his face instantly turning pale as fear gripped him tightly, “This is Miss Meredith… Miss Meredith…”
“If you don’t hurry up and kill yourself, I won’t mind sending off on your final journey myself!” warned Baldwin coldly while frowning heavily.
“Mr. Meredith, please spare me. My eyesight is terrible and I didn’t recognize the young miss. I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry!” Travis quickly got up and knelt on the ground, crying while slapping himself hard in the face with each blow leaving his face swollen.
Travis knew very well that if Baldwin wanted to kill him, it would be no different from killing an ant.
“Levi, hurry up and call for dinner!” Baldwin frowned and ordered Levi.
Levi nodded quickly and rushed over to grab Travis by the collar before dragging him to the window on the second floor where he pushed him out without hesitation.
“Please… ahh!” Before Travis could finish speaking, he fell down with a thud onto the ground below, making no further sound.
“What the heck, what’s going on!?” Two people in a black Mercedes in the distance were startled by the muffled sound. Seeing the person who fell in front of them, their faces changed involuntarily.
If Leo were here, he would surely recognize Lawrence in the driver’s seat.
Seated in the passenger seat was Lawrence’s loyal henchman, Raiden Cervantes.
“Who’s that person?” Lawrence frowned and glanced, “Why does he look so much like the guy who went up with Rosemary just now?”
“Really? I don’t think so. Doesn’t look alike to me,” Raiden craned his neck for a look.
At this moment, a BMW suddenly rushed over, screeching to a stop in front of Travis. Two burly men in black swiftly got out, dragged Travis into the car, and sped away.
“What are these people doing? Why are they so arrogant?” Lawrence rubbed his chin, “They’re even more arrogant than I am!”
Lawrence had seen Baldwin and Levi go up just now, but he didn’t know Baldwin, nor did he know they were heading to the private room where Leo and Rosemary were.
“Who cares, Mr. Lytton, it’s not our business,” Raiden said nonchalantly.
Lawrence nodded, looking up at the upstairs, displeased, “Why is their meal taking so long? What if something happened? What if that Leo guy got ideas and is plotting something against Rosemary?”
