Leo was secretly amused at this moment. He had been thinking about how to provoke a conflict between Travis and Marina, but he didn’t expect Sandra to lose her patience first and save him a lot of trouble.
“Sandra,” Marina called softly to Sandra, lowering her voice. “Go out and call my brother. Tell him to come over now.”
“Okay.” Sandra nodded quickly, glaring at Travis with hatred in her eyes. She thought to herself that when the young master arrived, he would put Travis in his place.
Meanwhile, Travis was pulling Rosemary’s arm and urging her to drink with him.
“Miss Fanny,” he said. “You have to toast me with this drink or I won’t be able to calm down.”
“Okay okay,” Rosemary said sweetly while trying to twist her arm free from his grip so she could escape his grasp.
“No way! You have to drink it first before I let you go!” Travis laughed as he watched Rosemary squirming under his grasp while eyeing the neckline of her dress hungrily.
“Mr. Conley,” Leo frowned sternly as he spoke up firmly. “Take your hands off Miss Fanny!”
“What’s it got do with you?” Travis sneered coldly without taking Leo seriously for even one second.
“Miss Fanny, have a drink. Look at you, do you need me to feed you?” Travis had already picked up a glass of wine, attempting to forcefully pour it into Rosemary’s mouth. Rosemary immediately turned her head, pushing him away with her other hand, “Mr. Conley, it’s too much, I can’t drink it, I can’t.”
“If you can’t drink, how can we talk business without alcohol?” Travis said, intentionally shaking the glass, causing more than half of the wine to spill onto Rosemary’s white shirt.
“Oh dear, look at that spill. Come on, let me help you clean it!” Travis said, disregarding everything as he leaned his head towards Rosemary’s chest.
He had been lusting after Rosemary for a long time.
Just as Travis was about to touch Rosemary’s chest, a large foot suddenly appeared. Then, Travis’s vision went black, and his body flew out, crashing heavily into the wall behind.
“Ouch…” Travis covered his face and rolled on the floor, feeling a burning pain on his face and his waist seemingly about to break.
Rosemary, pale with fear, quickly turned around and threw herself into Leo’s arms.
She hated men the most, and she hadn’t expected to almost be touched by the creepy Travis just now.
Leo, still not fully comprehending the situation, felt a sudden warmth in front of him. Seeing Rosemary’s wet chest tightly against his own, he suddenly became nervous, a bit unsure of what to do. Swallowing hard, he reassured her, “Don’t be afraid, it’s okay…”
Rosemary snapped out of it and realized her mistake. She quickly stepped back with a red face and apologized, “I’m sorry.”
“Ow! Who kicked me just now?!” Travis screamed in pain as he struggled to get up while holding onto the chair. He covered his nose and saw blood all over his hands.
The kick had been too fast for him to see clearly; he had already fallen to the ground.
“Mr. Conley, what are you talking about? We were so far away from you; how could we have kicked you?” Leo feigned confusion. “I was just wondering why you suddenly jumped back like that.”
“You son of a b*tch! Don’t play dumb with me! It was you who kicked me!” Travis trembled as he held onto his mouth and nose in agony.
Sandra had gone out to make a call; the only people left in the room were Leo, Rosemary, Marina, and Travis. He didn’t believe that Marina could have such fierce skills so he assumed it was Leo who did it.
Although he couldn’t understand how Leo managed to kick him from such a distance.
Marina looked at Leo with shock in her eyes. She had seen everything how Leo’s body moved like a ghost before swiftly returning again.
“You’re dead meat now! Do you know who my big boss is? It’s Baldwin, the Meredith family’s young master Baldwin!” Travis shouted hoarsely while trembling uncontrollably as he pulled out his phone. “My big boss is in Langstel right now; wait until I contact my general manager!”
Travis was on the verge of going insane. No one had dared lay their hands on him before but now Leo had flattened his nose with one swift kick. If this happened in Capital, then someone would’ve already killed Leo by now!
“Hello? General Manager? I came here for business negotiations at ‘Leo&Rose Cosmetics’ but got beaten up.”
As soon as someone answered on the other end of the line, Travis started crying pitifully, “You don’t know what happened here… these people from ‘Leo&Rose Cosmetics’ are too arrogant… I followed your instructions during our negotiation but they refused my offer and insulted me!”
” hey say that Willa Cosmetics is a garbage company, and they can insult us all they want in the capital. I can handle that, but when they have the audacity to insult Mr. Meredith, I couldn’t take it anymore. So I fought back, and they ganged up on me and beat me up!”
Marina frowned at Travis as she listened to his story. She suddenly felt like calling him shameless was too kind of a description for him.
Leo didn’t seem to care much about it though; he guessed Sandra had gone out to call Baldwin.
But Rosemary’s heart was racing with worry. If they couldn’t sign this contract, she could live with that; what worried her now was Leo’s safety. The Meredith family wasn’t just any ordinary family. Even if they were far away in the capital city, one phone call from them could change everything in Langstel.
Rosemary was panicking inside as she grabbed Leo’s arm tightly and said urgently, “If Mr. Meredith is really in Langstel right now, then you’re in trouble! You need to run while you still can.”
“Run?” Travis sneered twice before hanging up his phone and walking over to smash a bottle of alcohol on the table into pieces with his bare hands. He pointed the broken glass at Leo, “You’re not going anywhere today! My general manager has already called Mr. Meredith. You might as well just wait here for your death.”
“I’ll hold him off for a bit while you run,” Rosemary whispered quickly into Leo’s ear before grabbing a fork and charging towards Travis aggressively.
Leo was taken aback by her sudden actions but quickly pulled her back.
“What are you doing? Let go of me! You should run instead. Go as far away from here as possible!” Rosemary looked like she was about to cry out of desperation; this guy had no idea who he had offended.
“Don’t worry,” Leo said calmly while holding onto Rosemary’s hand gently, “Just listen to me. Sit down, eat some food or drink something… nothing bad will happen.” He could tell that Rosemary genuinely cared about him.
“That’s right Miss Fanny,” Marina chimed in with a smile directed towards Rosemary, “Listen to Dr. Bloomer here… just sit down comfortably and enjoy your meal or drinks.” She herself felt touched by Rosemary’s bravery; it seemed obvious that there were feelings between her and Leo brewing beneath the surface.
