Chapter 713: Twin Sisters

Next to the Bugatti was a Koenigsegg, and in front of the Koenigsegg stood two stunningly identical beauties. These two women, with faces and figures seemingly crafted from the same mold, differed only in the upper half of their outfits-one in an orange T-shirt and the other in a light purple one.
Upon closer inspection, one would notice subtle differences in their temperament. One exuded a playful and lively vibe, while the other gave off an aloof and unapproachable aura. These two beauties were Michelle and Irene, the twin sisters who had raced with Mark Lynch on the highway.
Seeing Leo take out the Bugatti’s keys, Michelle’s face lit up, and she eagerly approached, asking, “Is this Bugatti yours?”
Leo had noticed the Koenigsegg long ago and recognized it. What surprised him, however, was that these two identical twin beauties enjoyed racing.
Upon hearing Michelle’s question, Leo nodded.
“That’s fantastic++++++++++++++! We finally found you!” Michelle’s expression showed genuine happiness.
Irene, upon Leo’s acknowledgment, revealed a subtle change in her usually cold demeanor. She hadn’t expected the guy with the incredibly cool driving skills to be someone she’d never met.
In Blair’s eyes, Leo was just a second-generation rich kid from somewhere like Langstel-a class that didn’t impress much in the racing circles here. However, if Leo knew Michelle and Irene, the situation would be different.
The Leighton family was a first-class family in the capital, and the twins, Michelle and Irene, were the most cherished granddaughters of Old Leighton. Furthermore, many elite families sought to form connections with the Leighton family through Irene and Michelle.
To know the twin sisters from the Leighton family was considered a solid background.
Madame Godwin, standing by Leo’s side, was also somewhat surprised. Leo had only been here for a short time-how had he quickly befriended the Leighton family’s twin sisters?
Michelle’s joy puzzled Leo, who asked, “Do you need something?”
“Of course, we have something important to discuss.” Michelle grinned mischievously. “Your driving skills are impressive. My sister and I want to invite you as our external aid to participate in a racing competition.”
This revelation left Blair baffled. Leo, whom he had perceived as a rich kid from Langstel, was suddenly a skilled racer.
Leo, however, shook his head in refusal. “I’m sorry, but I’m not interested.”
Leo wasn’t someone who acted recklessly just because beautiful women approached him. Moreover, racing wasn’t his cup of tea.
Michelle, taken aback by Leo’s response, had expected little resistance from a guy once she expressed interest. Irene’s cool face also showed a hint of surprise. Leo’s refusal was unexpected, given that men rarely turned down such beautiful women.
Irene, accustomed to men throwing themselves at her, took a step forward and said, “Hold on before you reject. We won’t ask for your help for free. If we win the race, we’ll reward you with $500, 000.”
Leo raised an eyebrow. “Do you think I lack $500, 000?”
Indeed, someone who could afford a Bugatti wouldn’t be enticed by $500, 000.
Leo’s reluctance annoyed Michelle. “So, what’s your desired reward? How about this: as long as you help us participate in the race, all the prize money after winning will be yours, and you won’t have to spend a penny if we lose. How does that sound?”
“Sorry, I’m not interested in money,” Leo replied, quoting a famous saying from the founder of a certain online marketplace.
This response left Michelle’s face red. How could he be so heartless? She was at least a beauty, and he unhesitatingly rejected such generous terms!
For someone not motivated by money, Michelle had to find another angle.
Irene pondered for a moment and said to Leo, “Although you’re not interested in money, I believe you have an interest in spending it. How about this: as long as you help us win the race, my sister and I owe you a favor. In the future, feel free to ask for our assistance.”
Irene didn’t want to let go of a skilled individual like Leo.
Blair’s expression changed as he heard Irene’s words. Gaining a favor from the Leighton sisters, which essentially meant gaining a favor from the Leighton family, was an opportunity that money couldn’t buy.
“Sorry, the favor from you two doesn’t hold any value for me,” Leo continued to decline.
Leo, a cultivator and a high-level spiritual practitioner, could handle situations that even the Leighton family found challenging. Michelle’s mood turned ugly, and she angrily grabbed Irene, saying, “Sis, this guy is a blockhead. We’ve found the wrong person. Let’s go.”
Just as Michelle and Irene were turning to leave, Leo spoke up.
“Wait, although I’m not interested in money, I do have an interest in antiques and rare treasures. For example, ancient swords, bronze vessels, or anything that piques my interest. If you can produce something fascinating, I’ll help you with the race.”
Leo could tell that the twin beauties came from a major family in Jingbei, and such families usually had rare treasures. If they could offer items like the Mystical Sky Bagua-Patterned Alchemical Furnace or Purple Radiance, Leo wouldn’t mind sparing some time to help them.
Irene was taken aback by Leo’s unusual condition but turned back to say, “We’re not interested in antiques or ancient swords. We don’t have such things.”
Michelle’s eyes, on the other hand, lit up, and she quickly added, “Sis, we do have something like that…”
Before Michelle could finish her sentence, Irene interrupted, “No, that item. Grandpa explicitly told us it’s extraordinary and shouldn’t be shown easily.”
“Sis, that thing has been in our family for decades. Grandfather has tried everything, spending a significant amount of time, effort, and money but hasn’t been able to open it.”
“Grandfather has expressed a wish to open it and find out what’s inside. If he manages to open it, it would fulfill his wish,” Michelle explained.
“But…” Irene hesitated.
“Sis, he probably won’t be able to open it. Let’s make a deal with him. If the thing opens, whatever’s inside goes to him, and he helps us with the race. If it doesn’t open, the item stays ours, and he still helps us with the race,” Michelle suggested.
