“Bro, we can’t go any further with the car,” the taxi driver said as he stopped.
Leo nodded. There were guards a few dozen meters ahead, so it was natural that they couldn’t enter with the taxi.
Leo took out three hundred yuan and handed it to the driver. “No need for change.”
The taxi driver smiled broadly as he accepted the money. He thought to himself that anyone who could go to Lonely Goose Mountain must be generous when it comes to spending money.
After taking the money, Leo disappeared from his sight before he even looked up again.
“Why did he suddenly disappear?” The taxi driver muttered to himself before turning his car around and preparing to head back.
However, a business Mercedes blocked his way before he could leave.
The taxi driver honked twice, but there was no intention of moving from the Mercedes’ occupants at all.
He couldn’t afford to offend anyone who could travel on this road; they were either going to Lonely Goose Mountain or living there themselves. As a small-time driver, he couldn’t afford any trouble with them.
The door of the business Mercedes opened and several figures walked out of it.
“I’m asking you about that kid who just rode in your car,” Rodney stared at him and asked sharply
“He went into Lonely Goose Mountain,” replied the taxi driver hurriedly
These people didn’t seem like easy ones to deal with; two black-clad bodyguards followed them closely behind them
“What’s he doing in Lonely Goose Mountain?” Carter asked curiously
“He’s probably looking for someone,” said the unsure cabby
Rodney’s face darkened upon hearing this answer,
That kid had some connections if he flew straight into Lonely Goose Mountain right after landing. If Leo had any relationship with any family in Lonley goose mountain then White family wouldn’t dare provoke him because even Rodney’s father needed an appointment beforehand when visiting Lonley goose mountain
“This is two thousand yuan; if you tell anyone about seeing us here today, you’ll regret it.” Rodney took out two thousand yuan from his pocket and threw it into their cab coldly saying these words
“I won’t say anything! I never came here today!” The cabbie quickly assured them after receiving such an amount of cash
After clearing their path for them by moving aside their vehicle , the cabbie stepped on gas pedal heavily leaving as fast as possible .
Anyone who could come here wasn’t someone easygoing so better not mess up things unnecessarily
“Master White, what should we do? Should we wait for that kid here?” Carter asked.
“Wait for what? If it weren’t for your incompetence, I wouldn’t have lost face at the airport or gotten into trouble with that kid,” Rodney snapped at Carter.
At the same time, Rodney cursed silently in his heart: Didn’t he see that the kid had already entered Lonely Goose Mountain? Everyone who lived there had a lot of power and influence.
“Mr. Robins, thankfully I listened to your advice and didn’t get into too much conflict with that kid,” Rodney turned to Mr. Robins with a hint of gratitude in his voice.
He was able to live so carefree now thanks entirely to his family’s support. If something happened to the White family because of him, everything he enjoyed now would disappear along with it.
Mr. Robins nodded slightly and warned him: “Young Master Rodney, don’t act impulsively in the future. Even if Mr. White himself intervenes, you won’t be able to protect yourself if you offend those who live on Lonely Goose Mountain.”
Rodney agreed wholeheartedly and waved his hand: “Let’s go home.”
The group got back into their Mercedes-Benz sedan.
In the lush forests of Lonely Goose Mountain, greenery covered everything while birds sang sweetly in the air; it was refreshing everywhere one looked.
Leo easily avoided security guards and entered Lonely Goose Mountain without any issues.
Looking at a simple map in his hands Leo quickly found where he needed to go; using a wind charm talisman on both legs he flew towards an estate at lightning speed.
In Lynd Family Manor’s conference hall sat twelve people around an oval-shaped mahogany table filled with twelve cups of fragrant tea whose aroma wafted through out room.
Whenever there were major issues within Lynd Family Manor they would hold meetings within this conference hall where all elders must attend.
To become an elder responsible for decision-making within Lynd Family Manor required cultivation reaching at least Great Warrior level realm.
Sitting on top seat was a man dressed entirely in white robes; although having white hair this man still appeared quite young due handsome features resembling jade carving – this person is none other than Levi Lynd – head figure behind Lynd Family Manor
On opposite side of mahogany table sat Devin Lynd – Levi’s half-brother – wearing red clothes while sporting baby fat on face
The ten elders were seated on either side of the mahogany table. Levi Lynd’s eyes scanned the room before he spoke, “I’m sure you all know why we’ve gathered here today.”
“Our two senior elders and one worshipper, Dragon Lynd, Tiger Lynd and Elder Elliot, were all killed at Linggu Ya by Seven Stars Sword Sect. My grandson Henry Lynd and Pepper Lynd also perished there.”
As Levi’s voice trailed off, his mood became increasingly gloomy.
Of the five who had died, he cared most about Henry Lynd.
Henry was not only his grandson but also his chosen successor. At a young age, he had already reached the intermediate level of a grand martial artist.
With Henry’s talent, it was certain that within two or three years he would break through to become an advanced grand martial artist. He could even break through to become a warlord or even a martial arts master in time.
But now none of this was possible anymore.
Before attending today’s meeting, the elders knew everything that had happened beforehand.
Levi’s emotions infected everyone present as they felt heavy-hearted about what had occurred. The deaths of two senior elders and one worshipper along with members of their direct line were not small matters for any family.
“Master,” said one elder with a lean build after some thought. “As far as I know Seven Stars Sword Sect alone couldn’t have killed our young master without help from another second-rate or even first-rate martial arts sect.”
Levi pondered for a moment then looked towards the corner of the conference hall before saying: “Flying Mouse, tell us what you’ve found out so far.”
“Yes Master!” A man with sharp features resembling those of a mouse stood up from where he was sitting in the corner then walked over to distribute documents to both Levi and each elder present while saying: “Master and Elders please take your time reading these documents.”
After distributing all materials Flying Mouse retreated back into his original position on standby mode while everyone else began reading through detailed information regarding Leo which covered every aspect imaginable.
While they read Flying Mouse briefly summarized: “Leo is responsible for killing Young Master along with others; currently serving as an honorable elder at Seven Stars Sword Sect.”
Leo’s true identity is the son-in-law of the Henley family, a second-rate family from Langstel. During his first three years as part of the Henley family, he was a complete and utter pushover and even mute. Everything changed when Leo finally spoke up…
After reviewing the documents in hand and listening to Flying Mouse’s brief explanation, Levi Lynd’s face grew even darker.
