Chapter 678: It’s Reserved by Me

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Stuck in this deadlock, Donald Vogt had to approach once again. He explained to the receptionist and security personnel that he indeed had business dealings with their big boss, Lee Hemingway, and hoped they could be accommodating.
However, his efforts were in vain. The receptionist and security personnel remained adamant, refusing to let them in.
This scene unfolded as Leo had anticipated. A slight curve formed on his lips, and in a playful tone, he said to Jessica beside him, “Mom, see? I told you on the way here that Lemon Grass was reserved. Why didn’t you believe me?”
Sophia, realizing that the person who reserved Lemon Grass according to the receptionist must be Leo, was somewhat surprised. She asked, “Leo, how did you manage to reserve Lemon Grass?”
“Oh, come on, sweetheart, don’t listen to Leo’s nonsense. The receptionist made it clear just now. The one who reserved Lemon Grass is an important guest of Lee Hemingway. How could Leo possibly know Lee Hemingway?” Jessica snorted, dismissing Leo’s words.
Leo didn’t want to explain further to Jessica. He walked straight ahead, bypassing Ethan, Donald Vogt, and the others, and was about to step into the entrance of Lemon Grass restaurant.
The security, thinking Leo was attempting to force his way in, quickly built a human barrier once again.
“Sir, as I mentioned before, you can’t enter. If you force your way in…” The receptionist’s face turned cold once more.
Leo waved his hand dismissively, “I’m not with them.”
“Sorry, sir, Lemon Grass has been reserved for an important guest of Lee Hemingway today and is not open to the public,” the receptionist stated directly.
Leo’s actions immediately drew ridicule from the Gunter family members.
“This freeloader, daring to say he’s not with us. It’s really shameful.”
“He thinks he can enter Lemon Grass just by saying he’s not with us. It’s naive, considering his status as a freeloader. Entering Lemon Grass is a big joke.”
“No choice. As a freeloading son-in-law, he only has the ability to pretend. Only by pretending can he find some value in continuing to live.”
The mockery fueled Gordon’s anger. He sternly shouted, “Leo, stop embarrassing yourself here. Go away!”
“Leo, do you need attention every single day? As a parasite, you can only survive by acting. Don’t prance around in front of us,” Joyce insulted without mercy.
In Leo’s four years as a son-in-law, he learned that only by using the harsh reality could he slap the faces of opportunistic people and crush them on the ground.
So, it was time to reveal his true strength.
“Joyce, do you think you’ve become high and mighty by hitching onto a wealthy man? Let me tell you the truth. You and Donald Vogt, in my eyes, are nothing more than two ants,” Leo coldly looked at Joyce. “In reality, you and Donald Vogt are just two ants in front of me.”
Joyce, hearing Leo speak so audaciously about her and Donald Vogt, first felt uncomfortable, then burst into laughter. “Deadbeat, I didn’t realize you were so good at trash-talking! Oh, right, you used to be a mute and a cripple who couldn’t talk before.”
In front of the Gunter family, being compared to weak and powerless ants by a freeloading son-in-law was infuriating. This angered Donald Vogt, who couldn’t help but throw a punch at Leo’s face.
In the eyes of the Gunter family, Leo, who angered Donald Vogt, would undoubtedly end up crying and begging, plus sporting a battered face.
After a crisp cracking sound, a piercing scream followed.
The members of the Gunter family didn’t hesitate; they naturally assumed it was Leo who emitted the scream.
But what they saw with their own eyes was Donald Vogt’s body flying backward, then harshly crashing to the ground.
Donald Vogt, lying on the ground, looked pitiful. The eyeglasses that once rested on his nose were shattered into several pieces. His reasonably handsome face was now stained with blood, and fresh blood kept flowing from both nostrils.
Donald Vogt had to use one hand to cover his bleeding nose and the other to feel for the broken glasses on the ground.
This scene stunned everyone in the Gunter family.
They never expected that a supposedly freeloading son-in-law would dare to lay hands on Donald Vogt, let alone inflict such a beating.
“Donald!” After a brief moment of shock, Joyce exclaimed, rushing over to help Donald Vogt up from the ground.
Unable to endure any longer, Gordon, the head of the family, walked up to Leo and raised his hand for a slap.
In Gordon’s mind, Leo wouldn’t dare to resist.
However, reality proved him wrong. Leo grabbed the hand that was about to slap him.
“You useless scum! How dare you hit Donald Vogt and resist my punishment! I think you don’t want to live!” Gordon’s face turned red with extreme anger.
As Leo released his grip, he pushed a surge of internal energy, causing Gordon to stagger back several steps. If it weren’t for Alex’s quick support, Gordon would have fallen to the ground.
“You old thing, many people have tried to take my life, but you’re not even close. If it weren’t for you are Sophia’s grandfather, you wouldn’t be standing here talking to me!” Leo’s aura as a cultivator burst forth, exuding the demeanor of a ruler.
Speaking, Leo walked toward the entrance of Lemon Grass once again, speaking in a deliberate and clear voice, “Listen carefully, I’ve booked Lemon Grass today. Anyone who dares to stop me will die!”
The hostess and security guards were stunned by Leo’s overwhelming aura, forgetting to block his way.
At that moment, a deep, resonant voice spoke, “What are you doing blocking the entrance? Hurry up and make way. Welcome Mr. Bloomer-Leo, to Lemon Grass for dining!”
Lee Hemingway appeared intentionally at the right moment.
“Mr. Bloomer, I sincerely apologize for the poor service provided by my staff. Please forgive the oversight,” Lee Hemingway respectfully apologized to Leo.
This scene once again shattered the worldview of the Gunter family.
Lee Hemingway, a well-known businessman in Green Spring City, was actually apologizing to a son-in-law who had come uninvited. What kind of strange rhythm was this?
After the shock, various expressions appeared on the faces of the Gunter family members-some were confused, some were astonished, some thought they were hallucinating, and others believed they had crossed into another dimension.
Facing the undeniable facts, even if the Gunter family members were unwilling to admit it, they had to acknowledge that the person who had booked Lemon Grass as mentioned by the receptionist was Leo!
A man considered a worthless son-in-law had somehow achieved this. The Gunter family members couldn’t fathom how he had done it, no matter how much they racked their brains.
Even Sophia couldn’t help but show a surprised expression. Despite her mental preparation, witnessing this scene in person overwhelmed her with astonishment.
