Chapter 621: Monica

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

At Langstel Hospital, a luxurious, elongated Lincoln car drove through the hospital gates.
In the security room, a curious guard asked his companion, “Who’s coming this time with such grandeur?”
“The manager gave me a hint earlier. It seems like foreigners are coming. Anyway, it’s not something we should be concerned about.” The other guard shrugged and replied.
The extended Lincoln stopped in front of the main outpatient building. The door opened, and six foreigners stepped out.
Among the six, there were four men and two women. One of the women had an incredibly attractive figure.
This woman, with a fantastic figure, had fair skin, long golden hair, wore a white windbreaker, and sported large sunglasses. Combined with her high, perky nose and luscious red lips, she exuded the aura of a top-tier European or American celebrity.
As soon as Will saw the woman, he greeted her with a smile, “Monica, welcome.”
Monica glanced around and commented, “Langstel Hospital, not bad. The facilities are not as terrible as I imagined.”
“President Monica, on behalf of all the medical staff at Langstel Hospital, welcome. We are honored to have you here,” President Mackintosh warmly greeted, accompanied by several directors and experts.
Monica, the deputy president of the American Medical Research Society, naturally deserved a warm reception.
After brief pleasantries, Monica got straight to the point, “President Mackintosh, I heard Mr. Paul can stand now. Could you take me to see him?”
Monica’s tone was courteous, merely a polite formality. Although she came here, Monica couldn’t truly believe that Paul could stand.
After simple greetings, Monica went straight to the point, “President Mackintosh, I heard Mr. Paul can stand now. Could you take me to see him?”
Monica’s tone was courteous, merely a polite formality. Although she came here, Monica couldn’t truly believe that Paul could stand.
After a glance around, President Mackintosh said, “Langstel Hospital is not bad; the hardware facilities are not as bad as I thought.”
“President Monica, I heard Mr. Paul can stand now. Could you take me to see him?”
Monica’s tone was courteous, merely a polite formality. Although she came here, Monica couldn’t truly believe that Paul could stand.
President Mackintosh was about to arrange for doctors to bring Paul over when Paul appeared himself.
Pointing at Paul, President Mackintosh said, “President Monica, that’s Paul. He’s taking a walk with his daughter Lisa.”
Looking in the direction pointed by President Mackintosh, Monica was momentarily stunned.
Then, Monica took off her big sunglasses, wanting to see more clearly.
As Monica looked at Paul, the doctors couldn’t help but glance at Monica’s face. While she might not be breathtakingly beautiful, she exuded a strong, sensual appeal, reminiscent of Angelina Jolie.
After a brief moment of shock, Monica couldn’t help but exclaim, “My God, how is this possible!?”
Monica’s reaction was within Will’s expectations. He said with a hint of pride, “Monica, when I saw my father stand up, I also thought it was a miracle.”
Looking towards President Mackintosh, Monica urgently said, “President Mackintosh, is Paul’s illness treated by a doctor named Bloomer? Does he have time now? I’d like to ask him to give a special presentation.”
President Mackintosh shrugged helplessly and said, “President Monica, indeed, Paul’s illness was cured by Dr. Bloomer. However, he is not a doctor at our hospital. So, it might be impossible for you to hear his report as you wish.”
“President Mackintosh, I came all the way here for this matter. Please help me find a solution,” Monica pleaded.
Monica’s tone carried a sense of urgency.
President Mackintosh suddenly remembered the day he invited Dr. Rudolph to give a lecture at Leo Medical Pavilion. He said, “President Monica, I must tell you, Dr. Bloomer will be lecturing at Langstel Medical University. I suggest you get in touch with the medical school.”
Upon receiving this information, Monica immediately instructed her assistant to contact Langstel Medical University. In the office of the president of Langstel Medical University, Wade Occam, the current president, was working on his computer. The phone on his desk suddenly rang, and reluctantly, he picked up the receiver.
Soon, Wade Occam’s reluctant expression turned into excitement. After learning about the intention of the other party, he eagerly replied, “The Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine indeed has a Professor Bloomer. What? You want to attend his lecture? That’s no problem… Tomorrow, right? Okay, I’ll make the arrangements.”
After hanging up the phone, Wade Occam was still somewhat excited. The call was from the assistant to the Vice President of the American Medical Research Society. Their intention was simple – to attend Professor Bloomer’s lecture at Langstel Medical University. For Langstel Medical University, this was undoubtedly a good thing with all benefits and no harm.
Wade Occam knew that the American Medical Research Society had previously been invited by National Medical University, but they couldn’t be persuaded. Unexpectedly, today, they took the initiative to contact Langstel Medical University. This was an absolute honor.
However, Wade Occam was puzzled about one thing. Why did the people from the American Medical Research Society want to attend Professor Bloomer’s lecture? Although Professor Bloomer was a highly respected figure in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, his medical skills were only average. In recent years, the number of students choosing his courses had been decreasing.
Regardless, since they specifically requested to hear Professor Bloomer’s lecture, Wade Occam decided to let Professor Bloomer give them a good class.
As Wade Occam was about to call Professor Bloomer to inform him of this, there was a knock on the office door. Wade Occam had to put down the phone and said, “Come in.”
Entering Wade Occam’s office was none other than Leo. After leaving the Browne family, Leo came directly to Langstel Medical University, thinking about the lecture.
Leo smiled at Wade Occam. “Mr. Occam, hello.”
Wade Occam thought it was a teacher from the school who came to find him. When he saw Leo’s unfamiliar face, he was momentarily stunned. “Who are you?”
“I’m Leo Bloomer. President Mackintosh introduced me here,” Leo replied.
Upon hearing that it was introduced by President Mackintosh, Wade Occam looked Leo up and down, nodding with an attitude neither cold nor warm.
Leo was somewhat surprised by Wade Occam’s attitude. After all, it was President Mackintosh who personally made the introduction, and President Mackintosh and he were old classmates.
Leo continued to ask, “Mr. Occam, I wonder if President Mackintosh has mentioned my coming to give a lecture at the medical school?”
“Of course, this has been mentioned,” Wade Occam nodded again, then his face showed a reluctant expression. “But this thing is a bit difficult to handle right now. There are only so many lecturers in the school, and I don’t know how to arrange for you.”
Wade Occam’s words surprised Leo again. Before coming, Leo had called President Mackintosh, who said that Wade Occam was very supportive of this matter. But now that he personally came, why did the script seem to go wrong?
Seeing Leo’s expression, Wade Occam knew what he was thinking. He put on a smile and explained, “Mr. Bloomer, don’t get me wrong. You were recommended by President Mackintosh, and I welcome you a hundred percent.”
“But right now, the school really doesn’t have a position for you to lecture. When President Mackintosh called me earlier, I couldn’t tell him about this. Since you came today, I’ll tell you the truth. When the school has a vacancy for a lecturer, I’ll notify you to give the lecture. Is that okay?”
