Leo added, “Miss Sakura, it’s best to restrain your fiery temper. If you get into a conflict with someone during the recovery and get hit, it will be permanently ruined, and there’s no chance of recovery.”
To be honest, Leo didn’t have a favorable impression of Sakura. If it weren’t for Katayama’s plea, he wouldn’t bother helping her restore her dantian.
“Thank you, Dr. Bloomer.” Before Katayama could speak, Sakura softly said, “From now on, I will definitely mend my ways and treat people with kindness.”
Now, Sakura truly respected Leo. To think that he could ruin her dantian with a single palm strike and then restore it with a dose of medicine-this was not something an ordinary person could achieve.
Before meeting Leo, Sakura had always been proud, partly because of her powerful background and partly due to her beauty and martial arts skills.
However, the proud Sakura couldn’t even withstand a single punch from Leo. This made her realize keenly that arrogance, conceit, and arrogance were no different from being ignorant.
Although Sakura’s attitude of repentance was good, Katayama felt it wasn’t enough. He sternly lectured her, “Sakura, to help you reform, Dr. Bloomer is treating you without holding onto past grievances. As a person, you should know how to be grateful. Verbal thanks are easy, but the most important thing is to show gratitude through actions.”
“Today, you saw that there are too many patients, and Dr. Bloomer’s clinic is understaffed. Starting tomorrow, you’ll come to the clinic every day to help. You may not know about treating illnesses or dispensing medicine, but you can serve tea, pour water, and take care of Dr. Bloomer. You can handle that.”
“This way, you can truly repay and thank Dr. Bloomer for his kindness.”
Sakura quickly nodded, “Dad, no problem.”
Leo was a little surprised, then quickly waved his hand, “This is not necessary.”
While Leo did consider finding one or two more people to help at the clinic, hiring a martial arts woman to do odd jobs seemed somewhat inappropriate.
However, Katayama was firm and sincere, “Dr. Bloomer, when you make a mistake, you must pay the price, or else you won’t learn your lesson. Give Sakura a chance. Don’t worry; she won’t ask for a penny. She only needs a place to stay and eat. If you don’t want to see her, then I’ll come to the clinic to help.”
Sakura also wanted to get closer to Leo. She looked at him with a pitiful expression and whispered, “Dr. Bloomer, please accept me. I promise to satisfy you with my work.”
At this moment, Sakura, compared to the arrogant and unrestrained girl Leo first met, was like two different people.
Leo felt a headache from the enthusiasm of them.
Seeing that Leo still looked hesitant, Katayama asked tentatively, “Dr. Bloomer, are you sparing Sakura from doing the rough work because you pity her?”
Leo was speechless.
Alright, the headache got worse. Leo quickly stopped Katayama from saying anything more absurd, “Enough, no need to say more. I’ll accept her. However, let me be clear upfront; I have a probation period for hiring. One month. If, after one month, she doesn’t meet my expectations, she’ll have to leave! As for the salary, it’s five thousand a month, including room and board.”
Hearing this, Katayama became instantly happy and instructed Sakura, “Sakura, did you hear that? Now you’re part of Dr. Bloomer’s clinic. Don’t just sit around; go clean up and tidy up the place.”
Originally, cleaning and tidying up were tasks that Chasel handled, but from today onwards, they became Sakura’s responsibility.
As for Chasel himself, he was naturally delighted. After all, having a beautiful girl as an assistant not only provided eye candy but also shared the workload. Who wouldn’t be happy about that?
Leo then looked at Katayama and asked, “Is there anything else?”
Katayama’s expression turned serious, hesitated for a moment, and whispered, “Dr. Bloomer, the head of our Heaven Martial Arts Training Club wants to meet you. Do you have time?”
Leo shook his head, “I’ve been too busy lately.”
“Can I schedule a time with you?” Katayama’s attitude was very humble.
Leo thought for a moment and said, “Alright, a week from now.”
“Good, I’ll come to the clinic to pick you up in a week.” Katayama’s expression relaxed. The two matters he came to the clinic for today were settled.
After Katayama left, close to 5 o’clock, Leo, along with Dr. Davy and Chasel, greeted everyone and left the clinic. He needed to pick up Sophia from work.
The next day, around 11 in the morning, Rosemary called, saying it was time to leave for her grandfather’s birthday banquet.
The two met outside a villa. After parking the car, Rosemary led Leo into her grandfather’s brother, Elroy Fanny’s villa.
In the villa’s large courtyard, quite a few people had already gathered. These people were undoubtedly here to congratulate on his birthday.
Just as Rosemary was about to lead Leo into the villa’s living room, a sudden shout came from behind them, “Cousin Rosemary!”
Turning around, they saw a young man in a handsome suit standing in front of them.
The young man carefully examined Rosemary from head to toe and praised, “Rosemary, it’s been a while. You’re getting more beautiful.”
Rosemary coldly snorted, not pleased, “Xavier Fanny, do we know each other?”
Xavier grinned, “Rosemary, don’t joke. We’re cousins. We’re naturally familiar with each other.”
From Xavier’s tone and expression, Leo could guess what this guy was up to regarding Rosemary.
While they were talking, quite a few well-dressed people approached.
“Xavier, this should be your cousin Rosemary that you often talk about, right? Tsk tsk, she’s getting more beautiful!”
“And who’s this next to the beauty Rosemary?”
“Look at this guy; he doesn’t look like someone wealthy. Could he be Rosemary’s chauffeur? Bringing a chauffeur into the villa is not a good look.”
In the midst of the crowd’s discussions, Xavier finally turned his gaze to Leo and rudely asked, “Hey, kid, who are you? What are you doing with my cousin Rosemary? Do you know that my grandfather’s birthday banquet is being held here?”
Xavier fired off a series of questions mixed with saliva.
Leo had to step away to avoid getting spit on his face.
Rosemary took a step forward, standing in front of Leo, glaring at Xavier, “Xavier, what are you doing? Leo is my friend, and you’re not allowed to be rude to him!”
“Leo? Your friend?” Xavier’s gaze circled around Leo, and suddenly, as if discovering a new continent, he exclaimed, “I remember now. This guy is Langstel’s biggest joke, the disgrace among men, the freeloader in the Henley family!”
After Xavier finished, others immediately joined in the laughter, and various derogatory comments filled the air.
Rosemary pulled Leo’s hand, saying, “Leo, don’t pay attention to them. Let’s go inside.”
