Chapter 596: Busy

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

“This is definitely a medical miracle, truly incredible!”
“Today, I’ve witnessed the power of traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Bloomer’s medical skills are nothing short of miraculous!”
“I’m thinking of giving up Western medicine for traditional Chinese medicine!”
“Me too!”
Young doctors excitedly discussed, what happened today leaving an indelible mark in their hearts. Especially a few young female doctors, looking at Leo, their eyes sparkled with admiration, practically written on their faces.
Leo responded to the discussions with a modest smile, maintaining the humility expected of him. Before parting ways, Will, with excitement, shook Leo’s hand once again, assuring him, “Dr. Bloomer, thank you for curing my father. I will definitely do what I promised. Later tonight, I’ll start writing my article, spreading the greatness and miracles of traditional Chinese medicine to the world.”
Leo, aware of the attention that came with fame, reminded him once more, “Mr. Will, I trust you’ll keep your word, but please refrain from using my name and photos in your article.”
Will nodded, “Dr. Bloomer, rest assured. We foreigners highly value privacy. I won’t disclose any of your information. From today, you’re my idol, as we say in Langstel, I’m a fan of yours.”
Will’s words amused both Leo and the other doctors. After Leo left, Will went to the restroom to make a phone call.
“Will, what’s up?” A somewhat low-toned female voice answered after the phone was picked up.
“Monica, is the president there?” Will inquired.
“He is, but he’s in a meeting. What’s up? I can pass on a message for you,” Monica replied.
Will, with excitement, exclaimed, “My father’s illness has been cured in Langstel by a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner!”
Monica: “…”
“Hello, Monica, are you still there?” There was silence on the other end. Will asked with confusion.
After a while, Monica decisively said, “That’s impossible!”
As the Vice President of the American Medical Research Society, Monica was well aware of Paul, Will’s father’s, medical condition. Half a year ago, she had personally treated Paul. Even with all her efforts and the most advanced medical equipment, she could only alleviate the deterioration of Paul’s condition. Complete recovery would require a miracle.
Will spoke with great certainty, “Monica, I swear to God, everything I’m saying is true. I used to think traditional Chinese medicine was just deceptive witchcraft, but now it seems, how laughably foolish I was.”
Will’s conviction forced Monica to believe him. She asked with a serious tone, “What’s the name of the Chinese medicine practitioner who cured Paul?”
“He’s called Leo Bloomer, residing in Langstel,” Will replied.
“Leo Bloomer?” Monica’s eyebrows furrowed; the name was unfamiliar to her.
Monica still paid attention to the medical community in Langstel. She knew about any renowned Chinese medicine practitioners, and her computer stored information about famous traditional Chinese medicine doctors in Langstel.
After a brief silence, Monica chuckled coldly, “I’ve never heard of this Leo before. Surprising that he could cure Paul’s illness. Looks like I need to take a trip to Langstel sometime to see this person with my own eyes.”
After leaving the hospital, Leo decided to return to the Nameless Chinese Medicine Clinic. During this period, the clinic’s reputation had been growing rapidly, with a constant stream of people seeking consultations and treatments. It was a stark contrast to the previous emptiness.
Many times, Dr. Davy found himself overwhelmed, and Leo wondered what would happen to the clinic when Dr. Davy went on a trip with his daughter after some time.
A clinic without a doctor was no different from a pharmacy.
Upon returning to the clinic, Leo coincided with the afternoon influx of patients, and he quickly joined Dr. Davy in providing consultations.
“You’ve caught a cold; I’ll prescribe two doses of herbs for you.”
“Your toothache is due to inflammation; I’ll do acupuncture, and from now on, avoid spicy and oily foods.”
“You have blood deficiency causing fever, in Western terms, it’s called regenerative anemia. I’ll give you a prescription to regulate it.”
Once seated, Leo became busy immediately, not even having time to take a sip of water. After treating over a dozen patients in succession, he finally experienced a slight relaxation.
Just as Leo stood up to fetch some water, Katayama and Sakura from the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club entered the clinic.
Seeing many patients in the clinic, Katayama greeted Leo with a smile, “Dr. Bloomer, looks like you’re busy?”
“A bit,” Leo nodded, “What brings you here today?”
“Nothing urgent. Your work is important; we’ll wait until you’re free.” Katayama said, taking a seat with Sakura without a hint of impatience on his face.
Sakura, too, showed none of her previous arrogance, sitting quietly with Katayama and occasionally stealing glances at Leo, her eyes now revealing a mix of fear and respect.
Two hours later, Leo and Dr. Davy finally finished treating the afternoon patients.
Leo walked out of the consultation room and said to Katayama, “Sorry for keeping you waiting.”
Katayama waved his hand, “Dr. Bloomer, you’re too polite. It’s me who disturbed you.”
“What’s the matter? Just tell me.” Leo, who needed to pick up Sophia from work, got straight to the point.
Katayama praised, “Dr. Bloomer, among the Chinese medicine practitioners I know in Langstel, you’re the most skilled.”
“Your miraculous medical skills helped me say goodbye to the wheelchair, and now my strength has recovered by seventy percent. After my daughter took your medicine, her body started to warm up, showing signs of recovery. I came today to have you reexamine her and see the likelihood of her recovering.”
While speaking, Katayama took out a cashier’s check from his pocket and handed it respectfully to Leo, “Dr. Bloomer, this is a small token of our gratitude.”
The amount on the check was three million.
Leo didn’t accept the check but let Sakura extend her right hand.
Leo placed his fingers on Sakura’s wrist.
Sakura’s body inexplicably trembled, and her face showed a nervous expression.
In just over ten seconds, Leo withdrew his fingers and calmly said, “Continue taking the Chinese medicine I prescribed. Come back to the clinic in half a month, and I’ll give you a different prescription.”
“After changing the prescription, with at most a month of medication, Miss Sakura will recover by thirty percent. In a year, it can be restored to ninety percent. Two years later, her body can be completely restored.”
