Chapter 512: Rare Red Blood Lingzhi

Leo took the wooden box and, without opening it, could sense a unique aroma faintly emanating from within. It was evident that the contents of the wooden box were no ordinary items.
Bevis, Chasel and the others became curious, leaning in to see what was inside the wooden box held by Leo.
Leo slowly opened the box to reveal a large, red dried Lingzhi, about the size of an adult fist.
“Dr. Bloomer, this Lingzhi is of exceptional quality. If I’m not mistaken, this should be a wild Red Blood Lingzhi, aged at least three hundred years,” Leo said.
“Red Blood Lingzhi?” Old Toby asked in surprise, seemingly hearing the name for the first time.
“Yes, the Red Blood Lingzhi has incredible medicinal value. It is believed to have miraculous effects on anti-aging, boosting the immune system, reducing blood lipids, regulating blood pressure, and protecting the liver.”
“The Red Blood Lingzhi is an extremely rare variety of Lingzhi, and wild Red Blood Lingzhi is even more precious, exceedingly rare.”
Since ancient times, Lingzhi mushrooms were known for their ability to delay aging, fight cancer, and offer various health benefits. A Red Blood Lingzhi of this size had remarkable potential.
Moreover, with wild Lingzhi mushrooms completely extinct, this wild Red Blood Lingzhi was exceptionally valuable.
“If I had seen something like this in the market or from a herbal farmer, I would have bought it without hesitation. This is an item that, when used to make elixirs, is truly a once-in-a-lifetime find.”
“Dr. Bloomer, I may not fully understand these things, but since this item holds significant medicinal value and you are a doctor with a clinic, I’ll give it to you. I hope you can use it to treat more patients. Consider it my way of accumulating good deeds,” Old Toby generously offered.
Leo hurriedly declined, “Mr. Toby, this item is too valuable, and I can’t accept it.”
“Dr. Bloomer, I owe you my life from our previous encounter, and a Red Blood Lingzhi is a small token of gratitude. Please, you must take it,” Old Toby insisted with determination.
With no other option, Leo reluctantly accepted the gift.
Leo had expected that after receiving the Red Blood Lingzhi, Old Toby would bring up the matter he anticipated. However, even as Old Toby prepared to leave and was about to bid farewell, he hadn’t mentioned it. He engaged in casual conversation with Leo instead.
After seeing Old Toby and his butler off at the clinic’s entrance, Leo couldn’t hold back and asked, “Mr. Toby, is there nothing else you wanted to discuss with me?”
Old Toby replied with an embarrassed look, “There is one thing I’d like to ask for Dr. Bloomer’s help with, but I find it hard to bring up. Let’s drop the subject for now.”
Old Toby knew that Leo was an intelligent person. When dealing with a clever individual, many things need not be explicitly stated, as both parties understand each other’s intentions. Old Toby’s move to withdraw had made Leo quite impressed. As the saying goes, an old fox is still a crafty fox.
“Mr. Toby, you just gifted me such a precious Red Blood Lingzhi, and I can’t accept it without reciprocating. Please have Mr. Toby come here to pick me up, and I’ll help him out,” Leo straightforwardly stated.
Old Toby smiled and replied, “Thank you, Dr. Bloomer.”
About ten minutes after Old Toby left, screeching brakes echoed outside the clinic’s gates. Harry rushed in to Leo.
Clearly, Harry had been prepared.
After giving brief instructions to Dr. Davy and Chasel, Leo got into Harry’s car and headed to the Holiday Hotel.
Harry was personally driving, and his mood was evidently quite good. In the car, Leo explicitly told him that Marina’s illness could be cured.
In the presidential suite at the Holiday Hotel, Baldwin was anxious, pacing around like an ant on a hot pan. The red spots on Marina’s body had spread significantly, and there were hints of a dark hue beneath her skin. Marina’s body temperature was also rising, showing signs of developing a high fever.
Ryan and Thomas sat on the couch, not daring to utter a word. Their faces were quite grim, understanding that if anything happened to Marina, the furious Baldwin might very well end their lives on the spot.
Since Harry had left, Baldwin treated the two as if they were invisible. They were neither asked to leave nor requested to stay. In other words, Baldwin acted as if they didn’t exist.
To put it plainly, Marina’s unusual symptoms had to be resolved, or the two of them wouldn’t be allowed to leave the room.
At this point, Marina had been terrified by the strange symptoms on her body. If she hadn’t been well-mannered and composed by nature, she would probably have cried out in fear.
Just as Baldwin was about to call Harry again, Levi rushed in and said, “Mr. Meredith, Mr. Toby and Dr. Bloomer have arrived.”
Baldwin immediately exclaimed, “Quick, let them in!”
Seeing Harry and Leo enter the room from the door, Thomas, for the first time since their long-standing competition, stood up from the couch and eagerly greeted Harry, “Mr. Toby!”
However, this time, Thomas’s eagerness to meet Harry was mainly due to the fact that Harry had brought Leo with him.
Baldwin rushed to Leo and said with a pleading tone, “Leo Bloomer, I mean, Dr. Bloomer, please, help save my sister.”
Leo walked up to Marina and, upon seeing her symptoms, furrowed his brow. The symptoms that had manifested on Marina were quite similar to what Leo had anticipated. This situation was a stimulating reaction from Marina’s acupoints after receiving the heated moxibustion treatment with the Five Poisons added.
Leo first went to the bathroom to wash his hands thoroughly. Then, he approached Marina once more and extended his hands to lift her arms.
However, just as Leo’s hand reached out, Sandra stepped forward and blocked him. “How dare you touch my mistress’s body? You have no right.”
“I’m a doctor. How can I treat the patient if I can’t touch her?” Leo replied, quite displeased. He questioned Sandra, “You, young lady, why are you causing trouble when your mistress isn’t even speaking?”
“Sandra, step aside!” Baldwin signaled Sandra with his eyes.
At this moment, treating Marina was the top priority, so Baldwin had to temporarily set aside his young master’s temperament.
Sandra gave Leo a disdainful look, huffed, and stepped to the side.
Leo turned Marina’s body around, her back facing him. He then reached out and felt the red spots on Marina’s back, gently pressing and asking, “Do you feel anything, any pain?”
Marina shook her head and said, “No pain.”
