Chapter 490: Kneel and Talk

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Scar was a bit surprised that this small-eyed young man didn’t regard him highly. He wondered for a moment as it seemed there wasn’t anyone of this guy’s stature in the Langstel underworld.
Nevertheless, Scar was a respected figure in the local underworld, and with Leo around, it wasn’t something this young man could handle on his own.
“Kid, daring to cause trouble at the Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, you must have nerves of steel,” Scar commented, trying to defuse the situation.
However, the young man was unimpressed. He arrogantly retorted, “Just because there are more of you doesn’t mean you can act tough. You guys probably don’t even know who I am.”
“Listen carefully. I’m Henry Torajiro, and Alvis Torajiro, who is from the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club, is my dad!” Henry declared with an air of arrogance.
Scar was momentarily taken aback. Henry Torajiro? The son of Alvis Torajiro, the owner of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club? Scar was aware of Heaven Martial Arts Training Club, and he had heard about Alvis Torajiro’s children. The word on the street was that his youngest son was the most reckless, a hedonist who was notorious for his drinking and gambling habits. He had even killed someone in a drunk driving accident once, making headlines in Langstel’s urban news.
It seemed that this guy was indeed Alvis Torajiro’s youngest son, and Scar had to tread carefully.
He changed his tone to a more diplomatic one. “So, you’re the son of Alvis Torajiro. What brings you here today? We can sit down and talk things over.”
But Henry didn’t want to negotiate. He rudely replied, “I’m not here to talk. I’m here to tear down this clinic, and you better not beg me after I’m done.”
Leo had been observing quietly, and he finally spoke. “Do you know about the incident that happened here not too long ago?”
“What incident? I wouldn’t know,” Henry scoffed dismissively, thinking that Leo was trying to divert the conversation.
Leo continued, “Some Heaven Martial Arts Training Club members came here to steal Fire Lingzhi.”
“Steal Fire Lingzhi?” Henry Torajiro was taken aback, as he hadn’t been in Langstel recently and hadn’t heard about this incident.
Leo proceeded, “One of them, Sakura, had her body destroyed by me. She can never practice martial arts again.”
“Sakura? My cousin?” Henry Torajiro was momentarily shocked, then burst into laughter as if he had heard a funny joke. “You claim you destroyed my cousin’s body? Don’t be ridiculous. You’re just a quack who lives off women.”
Evidently, Henry Torajiro had investigated Leo before coming. His companions joined in the mockery, all thinking that Leo was merely boasting.
Despite their taunts, Leo remained calm, and Henry Torajiro and his group believed that Leo was only pretending, concealing his inner anxiety.
“Hey man, if you’re going to boast, at least have a backup plan. You dare mention my junior sister to scare me? Today, I’ll show you the consequences of crossing me!” Henry Torajiro said, ready to instruct his companions to vandalize the Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic.
Just then, two black SUVs screeched to a halt outside the clinic. Eight imposing men in uniforms swiftly got out of the vehicles. They had a serious demeanor and sharp gazes, indicating their martial prowess.
Following them, two men took a wheelchair out of one of the SUVs. Seated in the wheelchair was Katayama Torajiro, the man who had previously caused a scene at the Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic.
Katayama Torajiro turned the wheels of his wheelchair and entered the clinic first. When Henry Torajiro saw Katayama Torajiro, he was first surprised, then he exclaimed happily, “Uncle, why are you here?”
Henry Torajiro believed that Katayama Torajiro had come to support him because Katayama Torajiro had always been good to him.
“Uncle, I’m here to deal with someone who doesn’t know their place. I can handle this myself; you don’t need to step in,” Henry Torajiro approached Katayama Torajiro, saying.
Although he said so, Henry Torajiro was secretly delighted because Katayama Torajiro’s presence gave him more confidence. He also didn’t have to worry about facing his father’s scolding when he returned.
The arrival of Katayama Torajiro excited Henry Torajiro’s companions as well.
However, what happened next turned everyone’s world upside down.
Katayama Torajiro completely ignored Henry Torajiro and wheeled his chair to Leo. Then, with a sudden motion, he fell to his knees in front of Leo.
This sudden turn of events left Henry Torajiro in shock, and he cried out, “Uncle, what are you doing?”
Though Katayama Torajiro couldn’t use his legs, he had control over his upper body and waist. He used all his strength to bow his head before Leo, pleading, “Dr. Bloomer, I know I was wrong. Please save me…”
Everyone was left stupefied at this moment.
No one would have expected that the third-in-command of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club would kneel before a young doctor. Even Henry Torajiro, who was watching, couldn’t believe his eyes.
Henry Torajiro, in a bewildered state, exclaimed, “Uncle, why are you kneeling to this guy? He’s just an in-law. Why are you doing this?”
Fearing that Henry Torajiro might say something that would upset Leo, Katayama Torajiro angrily shouted, “Henry Torajiro, shut your mouth. If you utter one more word, I’ll break your legs!”
This was not how Katayama Torajiro usually treated Henry Torajiro. After all, Henry Torajiro was the son of Katayama Torajiro’s elder brother, and Katayama Torajiro had always been kind to him.
However, things were different now. Katayama Torajiro knew that his future happiness and well-being were in Leo’s hands. Only Leo could help him walk again.
If he couldn’t stand up from his wheelchair, Katayama Torajiro would be nothing but a cripple. The feeling of being unable to walk was truly unbearable.
Before coming to the Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, Katayama Torajiro had sought medical help far and wide. However, neither Western medicine nor Chinese medicine practitioners could help him regain the use of his legs.
Left with no other choice, Katayama Torajiro had come to the Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, knowing he had offended Leo. That’s why he had directly knelt in front of Leo, hoping Leo would put aside past grudges and heal his legs.
Henry Torajiro was not just frustrated; he was furious. He couldn’t believe that his own uncle was kneeling before Leo. If this were to get out, it would be a big blow to the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club’s reputation.
Seeing that Leo remained unfazed, Katayama Torajiro pleaded with a lowered head, “Dr. Bloomer, it was my mistake the last time. I shouldn’t have come to steal your Fire Lingzhi. I’m sincerely apologizing now. Please forgive me. You’re a big-hearted person; save me, please.”
Katayama Torajiro’s only desire was to stand up from his wheelchair. Everything else was secondary. Only by standing up could he regain his dignity. As a martial artist, he didn’t want to spend his future in a wheelchair.
