Seeing Sophia’s strong stance, Solomon Zacharias and Porter Croft became less fierce. Porter Croft sneered and taunted, “Leo is indeed just as rumored, hiding behind a woman to freeload. I think it’s not that he doesn’t want to accept the challenge, but that he simply dares not. In the end, Leo is just a self-doubting wimp.”
“If my granddaughter married such a man, I would break her legs and throw her out of the house!” Solomon Zacharias added, cooperating with Porter Croft to insult Leo.
In the past, Sophia might have tolerated such insults to Leo in her presence, but not anymore. Sophia’s heart was now deeply in love with Leo, and nobody could insult her man in her presence.
“Two gentlemen, there’s no need to provoke me. My husband, Leo, is not to be insulted by anyone!” Sophia raised her head proudly, her beautiful face filled with pride. “You want Leo to accept the challenge, right? I’ll do it for him. Listen carefully, that Master Spencer, my husband Leo will personally deal with him.”
Sophia’s powerful words echoed throughout.
At some point, Sophia had developed absolute trust in Leo. She believed that her man could defeat anyone who dared to challenge him.
Sophia’s words made Solomon Zacharias grin with satisfaction and smugness. “Sophia, you must keep your words. If Leo doesn’t show up, we’ll come to you for trouble!”
Sophia, growing impatient, replied with a cold tone, “Since I’ve accepted the challenge on Leo’s behalf, he’ll definitely go. Now, please leave and don’t disrupt my company’s regular operations.”
Solomon Zacharias and Porter Croft exchanged a glance, nodded, then turned and waved, declaring loudly, “We’re leaving!”
After Solomon Zacharias and Porter Croft left, Lydia couldn’t help but praise Sophia, “Sophia, you were so strong and assertive just now.”
“Dealing with these old men who rely on age and act like hooligans, you have to be tough with them,” Sophia said, a little helpless.
“Sophia, do you think Leo can defeat that Master Spencer?” Lydia asked, a bit concerned.
Sophia’s gaze remained firm. “Of course he can. I believe in him.”
Leo, after leaving Healnature Clinic, drove to Seven Stars Sword Sect. The wound on his left chest was beginning to ache again, as the seal of the runic symbols was weakening, and the malevolent fire was becoming restless. To completely remove the malevolent fire, he needed to find a plant called Snowspirit Flower and use it to refine Snowspirit Pills.
Additionally, Leo had a feeling that he was on the verge of breaking through to a higher level of spiritualist cultivation, but he needed the right opportunity.
Arriving at Seven Stars Sword Sect, Leo couldn’t help but be taken aback by Master Jennifer’s appearance. Even though he had seen many beautiful women, he couldn’t help but swallow hard.
Master Jennifer was dressed in a green gown, her skin as white as snow, her beauty like a painting, and a hint of a distant coldness in her eyes.
He didn’t expect Master Jennifer, who had taken the Beauty Pill, to become so stunning and charming.
“Keep staring like that, and I’ll gouge your eyes out!” Master Jennifer, a bit uncomfortable under Leo’s gaze, warned in her cool tone with a hint of embarrassment.
Leo quickly averted his gaze and explained to her his intention to find Snowspirit Flowers. Master Jennifer considered it for a moment and suggested, “I know about Snowspirit Flowers. They are an extremely rare plant. Maybe you could try your luck at the martial cultivator’s trade market.”
“Martial cultivator’s trade market?” Leo raised an eyebrow, clearly unfamiliar with this term.
Master Jennifer explained, “The so-called martial cultivator’s trade market is organized spontaneously by martial cultivators from various sects and wanderers. It’s held every three months at the Falling Sunset Mountain in Palm City.”
“At the trade market, various items such as spirit medicines, weapons, and martial cultivation manuals are exchanged. But these things can’t be bought with money.”
Leo, now intrigued by this martial cultivator’s trade market, asked, “If you can’t buy them with money, how do you obtain these items?”
Master Jennifer continued, “There are two ways: barter, or using alchemical pills as a common currency.”
Leo quickly grasped the concept. In the mundane world, money held great allure for ordinary people, but for martial cultivators, it was less important. Martial cultivators were obsessed with improving their cultivation, so pills that enhanced their power were what they desired most.
“Among the common alchemical currencies, the most frequently used is the Elemental Elixir, which can boost one’s inner energy. There are other alchemical pills too, like the Meridian Clearing Pill for unblocking meridians and the Bone Tempering Pill for enhancing physical strength,” Master Jennifer added.
“Now, how long until the trade market at Falling Sunset Mountain opens?” Leo decided to try his luck there.
“If I remember correctly, it’s in half a month, the once-every-three-month opening day,” Master Jennifer replied after giving it some thought.
Leo asked further, “It sounds like Falling Sunset Mountain is quite vast. Is it easy to find the trade market once you enter the mountain?”
Master Jennifer shook her head, “It’s hard to find without a guide. I went there with my master six years ago.”
“Do you remember the way?” Leo inquired.
Master Jennifer nodded, “I can go with you. If the market hasn’t moved, we should be able to find it.”
“Sounds good, we’ll go together then.”
After parting with Master Jennifer, Leo went to the herbal pavilion to collect some herbs and then proceeded to the alchemy room to prepare some Elemental Elixirs, getting ready for his trip to Falling Sunset Mountain.
In the Cloud Dream Mountain villa area, Villa Number Nine, in the living room, Ethan lay comfortably on the couch, playing video games and snacking on nuts. He carelessly scattered many nutshells on the floor.
Paige continuously munched on sunflower seeds, dropping shells haphazardly on the ground or the coffee table. Despite a trash bin right beside her, she completely ignored it.
Nora was busy tidying up the living room.
Jessica sat on the couch, her attention fixed on Nora. Although this maid was hardworking, Jessica couldn’t help but dislike her. She had received a minor reprimand the last time, but Leo had intervened strongly, threatening her. Jessica was infuriated that she couldn’t vent her frustration on Leo, so she decided to discipline the insolent maid properly.
She had to make the maid understand who was in charge in this household.
However, before Jessica could take action, Paige challenged the maid first, “Hey, you, the one cleaning. Are you blind? There’s so much trash on the floor here. Come clean it up quickly!”
Nora, who was cleaning, looked up at Paige, about to respond, but Ethan suddenly seemed to lose his mind and began to scold, “Where did you find this maid, an absolute trash! She’s utterly lacking in initiative, doesn’t even clean the floor when it’s dirty!”
