Not far ahead, several abandoned and dilapidated buildings came into view. The rusty gates of a construction site were ajar, and a vintage motorcycle lay across the entrance.
As the talismanic paper crane flew through the large iron gate and turned into a small flicker of flame, it disappeared. It seemed like the sniper was here.
Leo’s eyes gleamed with a cold light. He kicked over the motorcycle and entered through the rusty iron gate.
At the same time, in an open space in front of one of the abandoned buildings, two individuals faced each other.
One of them was dressed in a black suit, a burly figure.
The other was tall and slender, wearing a white tuxedo with golden curly hair. A horrifying mask covered his face.
“Lord Demon Night, I wonder if that man is dead?” the man in the black suit asked.
“It was unexpected. I thought a few bullets would get me the $30 million reward. However, that man had some skills,” the golden-haired man replied.
His English was not very fluent, and he had a trace of what he considered a superior French accent.
“Lord Demon Night, did you make a mistake?” the burly man in the black suit asked, surprised.
“That man reacted quickly. Compared to the $30 million, I’d rather have $50 million,” the golden-haired man’s tone remained unchanged, and a cold smile tugged at the corner of his mouth beneath the mask.
“Antony hopes so too,” the burly man nodded.
$30 million for death, $50 million for an alive one.
“Tomorrow night, I will go to where he lives and personally catch him,” the golden-haired man extended his fair and slender hand, gripping it slowly, causing the bones to make a crisp sound.
The burly man shuddered slightly. The golden-haired man standing before him was the fifteenth-ranked assassin in the world. He had never failed a mission.
“That man was walking with a pretty woman today. After I catch him, I’m going to have some fun,” the golden-haired man said, licking his lips.
The man in the black suit remained silent. His mission was to contact this golden-haired man to eliminate Leo. He had no interest in the woman.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed in the quiet surroundings.
The golden-haired man abruptly turned around, a cold glint flashing in his blue pupils.
“You don’t need to come find me; I’ve already come to you, and I’ll send you to meet your god as well,” Leo said.
Leo was slightly surprised that the one attacking him was a foreigner.
Regardless of the nationality, anyone daring to snipe him would have a one-way ticket to death.
Leo’s appearance startled the man in the black suit. “Lord Demon Night, it’s, it’s Leo…”
“Bro, I can’t believe you found your way here. My rating of you has gone up a bit.” The man in the mask looked at Leo with sharp eyes and said in a hard, teasing tone.
“Quit pretending, damn it!” The mask on the man’s face irritated Leo. He flicked his right hand, sending a Qi blade slashing towards the man’s mask.
The man in the mask dodged it effortlessly by shifting his body slightly. The Qi blade struck an abandoned steel plate behind him, producing a sharp clanging sound.
“Your attack is quite impressive. It seems you’re a martial artist, which explains why they needed to call me for help,” the masked man stuck out his tongue and licked his lips. “It’s been a while since I’ve tasted the blood of a martial artist.”
The masked man spoke with a hint of regret, “Unfortunately, I can’t kill you. I intend to break all your limbs and then deliver you to the employer in exchange for $50 million.”
After speaking, the masked man slowly extended his hands. Upon closer inspection, his hands were slender, and all ten fingers were equipped with sharp steel nails, looking somewhat terrifying.
The masked man’s figure flashed, and the razor-sharp nails aimed at Leo’s heart.
From the merciless nature of the masked man’s attack, it was clear that he had no intention of taking Leo alive.
Leo’s eyes momentarily froze, but showed no fear. Just as the sharp nails were about to pierce him, he moved his body and grabbed the masked man’s wrist.
Then, Leo exerted force, flinging the masked man’s body into the air.
However, just before falling, the masked man suddenly adjusted his posture, tapped the ground with the tip of his foot, and landed firmly.
“Concentrate the Qi blades, release!” Leo’s hands moved rapidly, unleashing over a dozen Qi blades like a machine gun.
The masked man’s pupils contracted, his feet shuffled on the ground, and his body retreated, successfully evading the majority of the Qi blades.
However, one of the Qi blades grazed the masked man’s mask.
With a crisp sound, the mask on the man’s face split in two and fell to the ground. Beneath the mask was a typical Caucasian face, even somewhat handsome.
As the mask was slashed, it also cut into Demon Night’s forehead, causing a trickle of blood to slowly run down his face. When the blood reached his lips, Demon Night stuck out his tongue and licked it. His eyes gleamed with madness and excitement, and he chuckled, “Not bad, not bad. In all these years, you’re the first one to let me taste the flavor of my own blood.”
As Leo watched Demon Night’s eerie grin, his gaze suddenly sharpened because he noticed that the foreigner’s wound on his forehead was visibly healing at a remarkable speed.
In less than ten seconds, the wound on Demon Night’s forehead had completely healed, leaving no scars.
“This foreigner is peculiar,” Leo thought, his caution growing.
“Kid, as my target, you’re the first to see my face, so you’re undoubtedly going to die!” Demon Night’s eyes had turned red, and an eerie aura emanated from his body.
Leo’s heart skipped a beat. “This aura… it’s the aura of a monster!”
Demon Night attacked again, soaring into the air. His razor-sharp nails, like blades, ruthlessly lunged at Leo.
Leo could clearly sense that Demon Night’s attack speed had increased.
Leo moved backward, grabbing a steel pipe from the ground as Demon Night’s nails were about to strike him. He struck Demon Night’s head with the pipe.
Demon Night’s head was instantly smashed by the steel pipe, blood streaming down. But just like before, the wound on his head healed rapidly.
As Leo evaded Demon Night’s vicious claws and simultaneously rained blows upon him with the steel pipe, he couldn’t help but be surprised by the masked man’s astonishing resistance to the relentless onslaught. Despite having his head continuously struck, Demon Night’s attacks didn’t cease, and he seemed to ignore the injury on his head completely.
