Chapter 445: No Forgiveness

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Beside the hospital bed, a woman with curly hair and an air of affluence wailed in despair. After a brief moment of crying, she fixed her gaze on Clyde and exclaimed, “Clyde, your son has been harmed like this, why are you just standing here? Why haven’t you sent someone to catch the culprit?”
The woman’s voice was piercing.
Clyde’s stern voice bellowed, “Shut your mouth! Can’t you see that Dr. Occam is still here?”
Dr. Occam waved his hand and said, “It’s alright; I’m also curious to know who would dare to harm the young master so severely.”
“Dr. Occam, it’s a scoundrel named Leo Bloomer, and that wretched woman from the Wilde family, Coral! Dad, you must help me seek revenge; I want to wipe out Leo’s entire family, and I want to tear him apart!” Antony, lying on the hospital bed, suddenly spoke. His eyes were bloodshot, and his expression was incredibly fierce.
A resounding slap echoed as Clyde, standing beside the bed, delivered a powerful blow.
Antony’s mother, momentarily bewildered, then yelled at Clyde, “Clyde, are you insane? Antony is seriously injured, and you’ve just hit him?”
“Shut your mouth! If you keep shouting, I’ll hit you too!” Clyde shouted furiously at his wife.
The woman seemed to be somewhat fearful of Clyde and dared not utter another word.
Subsequently, Clyde pointed at Antony and berated him, “You worthless scoundrel! Don’t think I don’t know you drugged Coral. Could a woman like Coral be taken advantage of by force? Now you’ve offended the Wilde family, and you don’t realize how precarious our situation is, you brainless fool!”
Clyde’s anger escalated as he continued berating his son, and he wished to slap Antony again. However, Antony was still his flesh and blood, and looking at Antony’s pitiable condition, he couldn’t bring himself to strike another blow.
Antony finally realized that the situation was far more complicated than he had thought. Nevertheless, he was not about to admit defeat and gritted his teeth, saying, “Dad, I messed up, but you mustn’t let that scoundrel Leo get away. I must see him torn to pieces!”
“You can rest assured that the boy will die for this!” A chilling glint flashed deep in Clyde’s pupils. Anyone who dared to maim his son like this, no matter who they were, would not be forgiven.
The Wilde family Manor.
Under an ancient locust tree, Arthur Wilde stood with his hands behind his back, gazing at the distant mountains.
Arthur’s expression wasn’t looking too good, and Coral’s father, Julius Wilde, stood beside him, his hands hanging by his sides.
“Dad, we’ve received news from the hospital. Antony has been left incapacitated,” Julius said.
Murderous intent gleamed in Arthur’s eyes. “Good, even if Leo doesn’t incapacitate him, I’ll still take his life!”
Arthur cherished his granddaughter Coral the most, and he couldn’t help but be furious that Antony dared to drug her.
Julius continued, “Dad, even though Antony is incapacitated, the William family won’t just let this slide.”
Arthur snorted, “That’s what I want. It’s time we made our stance clear to the William family.”
Julius’ face turned serious; he understood his father’s implications with those words.
“Dad, I think the Wilde family knows our influence, and considering that Antony was at fault first, they probably won’t act against us directly. They’ll likely focus on Leo next,” Julius speculated.
Arthur chuckled. “If they dare to lay a finger on him, they’re simply courting death.”
Arthur was well aware of Leo’s capabilities.
Seeing his father’s confidence in an outsider, Julius couldn’t help but be puzzled. After all, he didn’t know much about Leo.
Julius fell silent for a moment, then hesitated, “Dad, there’s one more thing that worries me.”
“What is it?”
“That Leo, as far as I know, he’s an in-law of the Henley family. He was the first one to arrive at the scene when Coral was in trouble. Do you think there might be something between them?”
Julius’s words left Arthur momentarily taken aback, but then he burst into laughter. “It doesn’t matter; we’ll let things take their course.”
Arthur’s attitude confounded Julius, and he couldn’t help asking, “Dad, you’re not against this?”
“Against it? Why would I be?”
Arthur’s counter-question left Julius at a loss for words.
After a while, Julius managed to say, “Dad, Leo is a son-in-law living off his wife’s family!”
“So what? I’d actually like it if Leo became a son-in-law of the Wilde family.”
Arthur stood with his hands behind his back, his face revealing a deep and inscrutable expression.
At 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Extensive Martial Arts Training Center.
August, Mr. Bill the butler, and Theodore stood in the courtyard, all of them looking serious.
As for the other disciples inside the Extensive Martial Arts Training Center, although they were training, it was quite apparent from their expressions that they were tense, each of them on edge.
“Master, it’s already 2 o’clock. Do you think Jack might not dare to come?” Mr. Bill couldn’t help saying.
August firmly shook his head. “He will come. By the way, has the doctor you invited, Dr. Abraham, arrived?”
“He’s on his way and should be here soon,” Mr. Bill replied.
As soon as Mr. Bill finished speaking, a middle-aged doctor in a white coat entered the courtyard through the main gate.
The doctor had a receding hairline, and he wore thick glasses due to severe nearsightedness. After entering, he glanced around the surroundings and then locked eyes on August. He walked over with a smile and said, “Mr. Browne.”
August also welcomed him with a smile, saying, “Dr. Abraham, welcome.”
The reason August called Dr. Abraham was not because he doubted Leo’s abilities. It was a strategy to have Dr. Abraham take the lead. If he defeated Jack, that would be perfect. If not, then Leo would step in for assistance.
Just as August and Hugo Abraham were exchanging pleasantries, Jack arrived.
Jack made quite an entrance, walking into the Extensive Martial Arts Training Center with a grand entourage.
“August, I got stuck in traffic and I’m a little late,” Jack casually greeted.
August teased, “I thought you might not dare to come.”
Jack waved it off arrogantly. “Jokes! Even if this place were a tiger’s den, I wouldn’t hesitate to come. Today, I’ve invited experts from the Medical Association to witness this battle. Let them be the witnesses!”
He continued, “By the way, let me introduce this young man by my side. He is Hamiltion Robert, the chief disciple of Fabian Alick, the head of the Medical Association. His medical skills are highly praised, even by the titans in the medical field. So, get ready for failure.”
Once Jack’s arrogant introduction was complete, Fabian Alick stepped forward, expressing some regret, “August, I’m just here as a spectator today. Please don’t mind.”
