Sakura reached into her wallet and pulled out a wad of bills, slamming them on the table. “Is this money enough? Hurry up and give me the Fire Lingzhi!”
At that moment, Sarah, who was in the pharmacy, walked over. Seeing Sakura’s money on the table, she sneered, “You think a couple thousand bucks will buy you Fire Lingzhi? That’s laughable.”
Sakura raised her hand, ready to strike Sarah in the face. However, before her hand could make contact, Leo grabbed her wrist firmly.
“You dare to strike someone in my clinic?” Leo’s eyes were as cold as ice.
Sakura struggled to pull her hand back, pointing at Leo’s face as she cursed, “I’ll hit whoever I want. If you don’t hand over the Fire Lingzhi soon, I’ll hit you too!”
“Smack!”
Sakura’s threat was followed by a resounding slap across her face. It sent her sprawling on the floor.
“You little scum, how dare you hit me?” With the assistance of her companion, Sakura climbed back to her feet, “Do you even know who I am? You’ve hit me, and I see that you don’t value your life!”
Leo, unfazed, glared at her, saying, “Within a minute, take your people and get out of my clinic, or face the consequences.”
“Oh my, have I heard you correctly? You’re threatening me?” Sakura pointed at herself, as if she had just heard a big joke. “I’ll give you a minute. Hand over the Fire Lingzhi, kneel before me to apologize, or face the consequences.”
This time, Leo couldn’t tolerate it any longer. He lunged towards Sakura in an attempt to crush her.
Sakura had prepared for this. Her eyebrows knitted in defiance as she raised her arm to withstand Leo’s attempted attack. However, in the next moment, her body shuddered, and Leo sent her flying with his charge.
This scene left the disciples from the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club stunned. Despite knowing Sakura’s strength, they were astounded to see this young doctor render her so helpless.
The disciples rushed to help Sakura to her feet.
Sakura, her face distorted in anger, pushed away her assisting companions and looked at Leo again. Her expression had turned ferocious.
“Brat, you dared to attack me! Do you know who I am? Do you know who my master is?”
Leo sneered, “I don’t care who you are. No one is allowed to act recklessly in my clinic.”
“Very well.” Sakura laughed in fury. “Brothers, let’s take him down, disable this young man, and then demolish this clinic!”
As soon as Sakura spoke, Leo’s figure blurred. The next moment, Sakura saw Leo’s fist right before her eyes.
Sakura let out a low cry and tried to dodge Leo’s punch, but Leo’s fist was as fast as lightning, and she couldn’t avoid it. His punch landed squarely in her lower abdomen.
This time, Sakura wasn’t sent flying but staggered backward, wincing in pain, retreating several steps before collapsing to the ground.
The disciples of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club, who had been watching in a daze, rushed over to help Sakura to her feet.
Katayama Torajiro, in the wheelchair, gazed at Leo with a deep, serious expression. His right hand clenched the armrest of the wheelchair, causing the veins on his hand to bulge.
“Sakura, are you okay?”
“I’m fine!” Sakura pushed her assisting companions away. When she looked at Leo again, her expression had become even more twisted.
“You brat, what have you done to me?” Sakura touched the blood at the corner of her mouth.
Leo looked down at her with pride. “Don’t be afraid. I just eliminated your inner power. You won’t be able to practice martial arts anymore.”
“What? My inner power?” Sakura couldn’t believe it. Her face contorted as she attempted to stand and confront Leo. However, she didn’t have the strength, and she ended up collapsing on the floor.
Sakura’s heart brimmed with despair and anger. She possessed remarkable talent in martial arts, and if all went as expected, she would be the next head of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club.
But now, the unexpected had happened. Her dantian had been crippled.
“Sakura, we’re going to avenge you!” Sakura’s younger peers were completely incensed, rushing toward Leo.
For a moment, the sounds of their fight filled the clinic.
Thankfully, the clinic’s lobby was spacious. In less than a minute, Leo had thrown all of Sakura’s younger martial siblings to the ground.
Katayama Torajiro, sitting in his wheelchair, couldn’t remain still. Although he couldn’t stand, he gave Leo a cold, difficultly spoken warning, “Young man, you’ve been brutal. Have you considered the consequences?”
“Consequences? Anyone causing trouble in my place can only crawl out. That’s the consequence!” Leo responded assertively, showing little sympathy for Katayama Torajiro, who had allowed his daughter to run amok.
“Do you realize that your actions have offended the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club?” Katayama Torajiro put on an air of superiority. “You’ve crippled my daughter and injured the disciples of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club. Even though I can’t deal with you today, the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club will eventually seek justice.”
Katayama Torajiro’s eyes flickered with menace, and if he weren’t injured, he believed he could strike Leo down.
Leo glanced at Katayama Torajiro and smirked. “You’ve made a colossal mistake!”
This seemingly nonsensical statement momentarily puzzled Katayama Torajiro, and he inquired, “What do you mean?”
“The injuries you’ve sustained, others might not be able to heal, but for me, it’s just a piece of cake,” Leo replied with a playful expression on his face. “Truth be told, I can have you standing again within a minute.”
“Nonsense!” Katayama Torajiro remained extremely skeptical. “Before coming here, I consulted numerous famous doctors and visited various major hospitals. Not a single person could heal my injuries, let alone claim they could make me walk again. Kid, you’re skilled, but your boasting is even greater! Don’t try to change the subject. You’ve disabled my daughter’s martial arts and injured members of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club. If you don’t provide an explanation, I’ll ensure you meet a gruesome end.”
“Don’t believe me, huh? Then I’ll let you witness a miracle.” Leo took two steps forward, retrieved silver needles from his person, and swiftly inserted them into Katayama Torajiro’s acupoints.
Sakura, lying on the ground, exclaimed, “You scoundrel, don’t harm my dad!”
When Leo moved, Katayama Torajiro had wanted to resist, but given his injuries, he couldn’t match Leo’s speed. In an instant, Leo had inserted eight silver needles into Katayama Torajiro’s body.
After Leo stepped back, Katayama Torajiro’s body initially showed no response. However, it didn’t take long for his limbs to begin uncontrollable tremors.
“You scoundrel, I’ll fight you to the death!” Sakura believed Leo was torturing her father and yelled out the words, but at that moment, she couldn’t muster any strength in her body.
