If it were anyone else, Antony might have lost control and given him a thrashing. But he knew he couldn’t best Leo in a fight, and even his top bodyguard, Jim, had been effortlessly handled by Leo.
Seeing the situation escalating, Manager Ted quickly intervened. “Mr. William, there’s an important company meeting waiting for you. It’s almost time. Let’s go.”
Manager Ted’s words helped Antony suppress his anger. He managed a forced smile and turned to Coral. “Miss Wilde, I apologize for my earlier outburst. I’ll be at your company’s meeting room at 2:30 this afternoon.”
After saying this, Antony turned and waved to Manager Ted. “Let’s go.”
Manager Ted could tell from Antony’s expression that the young master of the William family was teetering on the edge of anger, so he wisely refrained from saying more and followed Antony as they left.
Once Antony had gone, Coral released her hold on Leo’s arm and smiled. “Leo, thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. I can see that Antony has been quite persistent. Do you want me to teach him a lesson?” Leo asked.
Coral shook her head. “There’s no need for that. He hasn’t crossed any lines with me, just a persistent annoyance. Besides, my grandfather and the William family have some history. I don’t want to create a rift for my grandfather’s sake.”
Not long after leaving Coral’s home, Leo received a call from August.
“Leo, I’m sorry to trouble you again,” August sighed over the phone.
Leo’s interest was piqued. “Is it the same guy who showed up at the Extensive Martial Arts Training Center last time, bothering you?”
“Yes, Jack is quite a pest. After the martial arts match where his experts lost to you, he’s not satisfied. Now he wants to challenge me in medicine and chess.”
“Mr. Browne, you want me to compete with him in medicine?” Leo understood.
“Yes, that’s right. I’m confident in chess, but medicine…” August trailed off.
Leo got the picture. “You want me to challenge him in medicine.”
“Yes. Do you have time for it?”
“When and where’s the challenge?”
“Tomorrow at 3:00 PM, at the Extensive Martial Arts Training Center.”
“Alright, I’ll be there.”
After Leo hung up, he drove to his clinic.
Upon arriving at the clinic, Leo was about to begin his consultations when a group of people with imposing auras barged in. Following them was a young woman pushing a wheelchair. In the wheelchair sat an elderly man, looking frail and emaciated.
Don was busy in the lobby, and when he saw so many people entering, he couldn’t help but complain, “What are you doing? If you need treatment, please wait in line!”
The woman shot Don a fierce glare and demanded, “Do you have Fire Lingzhi here?”
Don instinctively replied, “Yes.”
“Hurry up and get it; my father needs to take Fire Lingzhi!” The woman pointed at Don, giving her command.
Although Don had a good temper, he couldn’t help but get irritated. “What’s with your attitude? This is a medical clinic, not a place for you to throw a tantrum. As for Fire Lingzhi, I won’t give it to you.”
The woman couldn’t contain her anger and shoved Don while cursing, “You old fool, stop being difficult!”
Don nearly tripped and fell to the ground but shouted in anger, “You… how dare you hit me!”
“You old coot, I told you to get the Fire Lingzhi!” The woman was aggressive and relentless.
Patients in the clinic were alarmed by the woman’s arrogant behavior.
One of the woman’s companions, a man, shouted at the onlookers, “Get out, all of you. If anyone watches, I’ll gouge their eyes out!”
Intimidated, the spectators quickly retreated.
The woman’s name was Sakura, and they were from the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club.
In Langstel, the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club’s reputation was on par with the Extensive Martial Arts Training Center. Just like the Extensive Martial Arts Training Center, the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club was established in the name of the head of the William Group.
Due to the strong backgrounds of the William Group and the Flying Dragon Business Association, the members of the Heaven Martial Arts Training Club were arrogant and felt untouchable.
“Old man, I’ll say it one more time. Get the Fire Lingzhi out, or I’ll tear down your shabby clinic!” Sakura pointed at Don, her arrogance increasing.
Don looked to Leo for help. Leo, after a brief inspection of the elderly man sitting in the wheelchair, calmly said, “Reverse flow of Qi and blood, damaged meridians and nerves, and severe injuries to both legs. If I’m not mistaken, you were beaten into this condition. Not only can you not walk, but you also experience severe chest pain and are unable to speak around midnight.”
After Leo’s diagnosis, Sakura abruptly turned around, staring at Leo in shock. She exclaimed, “Kid, how did you know?”
The man in the wheelchair, Katayama Torajiro, also looked astonished after hearing Leo’s diagnosis. His old face showed disbelief.
“I’m a doctor at this clinic, so naturally, I can tell,” Leo responded nonchalantly.
Sakura’s gaze became sharp, and she asked Leo, “If you can see it, can you treat it?”
Leo didn’t answer her question but instead gave her a wry smile.
Sakura didn’t appreciate Leo’s expression. To her, a young man like Leo might be able to diagnose accurately, but he wouldn’t have the ability to treat it.
“Kid, if you can treat it, do it quickly. If you can’t, get out of the way and stop blabbering. Also, get the Fire Lingzhi out; with it, I can heal my father!” Sakura impatiently demanded.
“Fire Lingzhi does have the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing stasis. It can help with your father’s current condition,” Leo acknowledged.
“Enough with the nonsense. I wouldn’t look for Fire Lingzhi if it were useless. Get it out; my father’s health is at stake. If you don’t, I’ll have people dismantle your clinic!” Sakura threatened Leo.
Sakura’s companions, one by one, rolled up their sleeves, looking ready to tear down the clinic if Leo didn’t produce the Fire Lingzhi.
“I do have Fire Lingzhi here, but you’ll need to give me a reason why I should give it to you,” Leo taunted.
Sakura put her hands on her hips, her manner menacing. “The reason is simple. Fire Lingzhi can save my father. That’s reason enough! So, are you going to give it to me?”
Don had never encountered such an audacious person. Unable to hold back, he blurted out, “Is there something wrong with you? Do you even know how precious Fire Lingzhi is? Why would our clinic give it to you for nothing?”
Sakura sneered, “Blabbering for so long, and it turns out you want money!”
