The entire room fell into an abrupt silence, and the person on the phone even forgot to press the call button. Especially the young couple, it was apparent that their bodies trembled slightly, and they stared at Leo in horror.
The man, regaining his senses, suddenly pointed at Leo, his voice full of anger. “You scoundrel! What nonsense are you spouting? How dare you accuse my wife of being a man! I’m going to sue you! I’ll make the court shut down your shady clinic!”
“Sue me? If you have the guts, go ahead,” Leo replied indifferently and followed with two more resounding slaps.
“Damn it! You brought a shemale to my clinic and want him to get pregnant! Let me ask you, can your father get pregnant, and that’s why you were born?” Leo kicked the shemale to the ground and swiftly pulled off the person’s skirt, along with their underwear.
The shemale let out a sharp scream and instinctively covered himself, but it was too late; his male anatomy had been seen by everyone.
“No way, it really is a shemale!”
“This shemale must be from Thailand, that’s why they’re so beautiful.”
“I can’t take it anymore, it’s too disturbing to look at.”
“Coming to the Nameless Chinese Medicine Clinic to seek pregnancy, is this shemale mentally ill?”
The onlookers were quick to change their stance. As soon as they sensed the shift, they began spitting venom at the man and the shemale.
Especially the man who had intended to call the police; he even kicked the shemale a couple of times in frustration. He was genuinely upset because he had tried to help, thinking the shemale was beautiful, only to discover the truth. It was revolting, utterly revolting.
Dr. Davy finally understood. No wonder the pulse had been peculiar earlier. This woman turned out to be a shemale.
The man hurriedly helped the shemale up, covering their lower body with his jacket, and angrily pointed at Leo. “You, you just wait! I won’t let you off!”
“Is that so?” Leo snorted indifferently, kicking the man away.
In the end, both the man and the shemale were taken away by the police.
After this incident, the Nameless Chinese Medicine Clinic’s reputation grew even stronger. People who had originally planned to seek treatment at the Read Clinic rushed over, leaving Leo and Dr. Davy incredibly busy.
Leo hadn’t expected this turn of events. He had thought the opening of the Read Clinic would be good for him, but it turned out to be even busier.
They were finally done with consultations by four in the afternoon.
“Dr. Bloomer, that man and the shemale were probably sent here by someone. Otherwise, no sane person would do such a thing,” Dr. Davy said as he prepared a cup of tea for Leo.
Leo nodded. “They were indeed sent here, and I already know who was behind it.”
“Who was it?”
Leo took a check from his pocket and placed it in front of Dr. Davy. “This check fell from the shemale when I pulled off his skirt.”
Dr. Davy squinted at the check. “It’s a Read Clinic check.”
“This Read Clinic, causing trouble for us right after opening. If we don’t fight back, will they think we’re easy to bully?” Dr. Davy felt a tinge of anger.
Leo spoke calmly, “Let it go this time. After all, we’re in the same profession. If they dare to do it again, I’ll make them disappear from across the street for good.”
Dr. Davy nodded. Although he didn’t know much about Leo, he understood that this man, often referred to as “the Henley family’s freeloading son-in-law,” possessed immense power.
In the next few days, no one came to cause trouble at the Nameless Chinese Medicine Clinic. However, what troubled Leo was the increasing number of people coming in for consultations and treatment.
Even with Dr. Davy’s assistance, he was seeing at least fifty to sixty patients every day, leaving him exhausted without a moment to catch their breath.
There were times when Leo contemplated going on strike, but his sense of duty as a doctor kept him going.
Time flew by, and there were only three days left until the 27th, the day Leo had arranged to take the villa from President Leacock.
Before going to the villa, Leo decided to address an important matter.
After dropping Sophia off at work in the morning, Leo didn’t go to the clinic or the Herbal Magic Cosmetics Company. Instead, he drove towards Greenfield Village.
Navigating through Hat Mountain, following the mental map in his head, Leo found the location of the Seven Stars Sword Sect’s entrance.
Just as Leo was about to sneak in, a disciple of the Seven Stars Sword Sect in white robes walked towards his hiding spot.
As the white-robed disciple passed by, Leo suddenly burst out of the bushes and delivered a hand chop to the back of his neck.
The white-robed disciple’s eyes rolled back, and he collapsed to the ground.
In a hidden cave within Hat Mountain:
Leo extended his hand and tapped the white-robed disciple’s philtrum. The disciple’s body shuddered, and he slowly opened his eyes.
Upon seeing Leo, the white-robed disciple let out a startled cry and instinctively reached for the sword at his waist, but found nothing there.
He attempted to attack Leo, but the cold feeling on his neck and the sight of the Blue Phantom Sword in front of him reminded him that moving meant death.
“What do you want, you scoundrel?” The white-robed disciple, though immobilized, could still glare at Leo angrily.
Leo chuckled. “You seem to recognize me?”
“You scoundrel, you stole our Seven Stars Sword Sect’s martial arts manuals. Even if you turn to ashes, I’d still recognize you!” The white-robed disciple harbored deep resentment towards Leo.
Leo moved the Blue Phantom Sword in his hand. “Since you hate me so much, should I just kill you?”
“Stop!” The white-robed disciple suddenly exclaimed.
“Do you have any last words?” Leo taunted.
“Y-y-you let me go, and I-I won’t tell anyone you’ve been here,” the white-robed disciple stuttered.
It was evident that this seemingly courageous white-robed disciple was actually very afraid of death.
“How about this, you tell me something useful, and I’ll let you go. Deal?” Leo proposed.
“What do you want to know?”
“I want to take control of the Seven Stars Sword Sect, but I don’t want to kill anyone. Do you have any feasible suggestions?” Leo’s words left the white-robed disciple stunned.
Leo reached out and patted his face. “Hurry up, I don’t have much patience.”
“You might as well kill me. I won’t betray my sect,” the white-robed disciple said, raising his head with a look of resolution.
“Alright, I’ll grant your wish.” Leo sighed. “You’re talented in martial arts, aren’t you? It’s a pity; you’ll end up as a pile of bones in this cave.”
With a swift motion of his right hand, the white-robed disciple felt a sharp pain in his neck as blood began to flow.
“I’ll tell you! Please don’t kill me!” The white-robed disciple’s expression shifted from one of resolution to fear and pleading.
