Leo thought for a moment and decided to call Scar to discuss his plan. After connecting on the phone, Leo briefly explained his intentions to Scar. Scar, initially surprised, soon became excited and mentioned a name, Regan Moulton.
Regan Moulton, also known as Master Moulton, was a major local player in the illegal goods trade, a real big shot. Scar had only heard of him and never met him in person.
Leo asked Scar how to get in touch with Master Moulton, and Scar recommended someone named “Toad.” Toad was one of Master Moulton’s henchmen, and with the right amount of money, he could arrange a meeting with Master Moulton.
Money wasn’t an issue, so Leo asked Scar to set up a meeting with Toad for today.
Half an hour later, Scar called and said that Toad was willing to meet at the Dynasty Entertainment Club at noon. It was almost 11:30 AM, so Leo had Roy and Curtis accompany him to meet Toad.
Twenty-five minutes later, the three of them arrived at the Dynasty Club, and Scar was already waiting for them. When he saw Leo and his group approaching, he greeted them.
“Mr. Bloomer, Toad is already here. Please follow me.”
Scar led Leo and his companions into the club, and after navigating through a series of twists and turns, they stopped outside a private room on the second floor. Despite the soundproofing in the room, they could still hear the loud music playing inside.
“Mr. Bloomer, Toad is inside this room,” Scar said, pushing the door open.
Leo and his companions entered the room. It was lavishly decorated and quite spacious, with a popular song playing loudly. A man held a microphone, shouting loudly, while three women danced energetically. Some men were also dancing with them, occasionally getting too close.
Leo noticed that four men in black T-shirts were positioned at the corners of the room, and another man in a black T-shirt sat on a black leather sofa. He wore a gold chain around his neck and had a gold ring on his right hand. He had two women on either side of him, and his hands were busy exploring their curves.
“Toad, this is Mr. Bloomer,” Scar said, walking up to Toad and introducing Leo.
Toad glanced at Leo impatiently and said, “Two hundred thousand, you’ve got twenty minutes, so make it quick!”
Scar continued, “Mr. Bloomer wants to discuss a big business deal with you.”
Toad gave Leo a cold look and asked, “What kind of business deal?”
“Contact Master Moulton. I want to meet him,” Leo said directly.
Toad stared at Leo and said, “Kid, are you giving me orders?”
“Yes, I am,” Leo replied confidently.
With a bang, Toad kicked the coffee table in front of him, causing the glasses and bottles to crash to the floor, spilling alcohol everywhere. The music suddenly stopped, and everyone in the room froze, knowing that Toad was furious.
“Kid, it seems like you’ve got a death wish,” Toad said with a hint of menace in his eyes.
Being in this line of work, reputation was everything, and Toad decided to teach Leo a lesson. He let go of the women in his arms, grabbed a beer bottle, poured it onto the table, and grinned, “Kid, you better kneel in front of me right now and lick this table clean, or I’ll slaughter you and toss your body into the river!”
Roy, standing next to Leo, couldn’t stand this disrespect. “Who do you think you are, talking to Mr. Bloomer like that?”
Four men in black, who were initially in the corner, converged, pulling out their guns and aiming them at Leo’s group. The dancers who were dancing a moment ago also surrounded them.
Roy and Curtis exchanged a quick glance and then acted simultaneously. In a matter of seconds, the guns were taken from the four men, and Roy and Curtis efficiently subdued the dancers who tried to intervene.
In less than a minute, except for Toad, all of his henchmen were writhing on the ground in pain.
Seeing this scene, Toad’s face turned pale. Roy and Curtis’s combating skills had left him in shock.
Leo took a gun from Roy and aimed it at Toad, smiling, “Toad, do you still want to slaughter me?”
Toad, swallowing nervously, felt the cold barrel against his forehead. He hesitated but then spoke, “Just now, it was all a joke. You said you want to meet Master Moulton?”
Leo nodded, saying, “Yes, I want to meet Master Moulton. You have two choices now: either take me to see him, or I’ll put a bullet in your head right here.”
“What do you want from Master Moulton?” Toad asked cautiously.
“I want to purchase some firearms,” Leo replied.
Looking up at Leo’s breezy-looking look, Toad was unsure: “Are you really looking for weapons from Master Moulton?”
“If you talk nonsense again, be careful my gun fire accidentally!” Leo sounded cold.
Looking into Leo’s calm eyes, Toad felt that Leo might not be a cop, despite his earlier doubts. Besides, Scar had introduced Leo, which added some credibility.
“If you’re really looking for weapons, I can take you to meet Master Moulton,” Toad said, after a moment of silence, having made up his mind.
Leo finally lowered the gun and ordered, “Call Master Moulton.”
Knowing that one must bow down under someone else’s roof, Toad dialed a number on his phone. After a few rings, someone on the other end answered, a deep and cautious voice.
“Toad, what do you want?” Master Moulton’s voice came through the phone.
Toad tried to maintain a calm tone as he said, “Master Moulton, I have someone here who wants to buy heavy weapons from you.”
“Who is this person?” Master Moulton’s tone became alert.
Toad glanced at Leo and handed him the phone.
“Master Moulton, I want to do a big deal with you,” Leo said confidently.
“Who are you?” Master Moulton said with a cold tone.
“Who I am doesn’t matter. Just tell me, do you want to make this big deal or not?” Leo continued.
After a pause, Master Moulton replied cautiously, “If there’s business to be done, I’m interested. What’s the transaction amount, and I’m not interested in small-scale deals.”
“As long as your merchandise is good, tens of millions in transaction volume won’t be an issue, and we can establish a long-term partnership,” Leo proposed.
