Leo smirked and walked up to Morgan, pointing at his chest. “Since you want me dead, I’ll give you a chance. Come on, use that knife in your hand, stab it right here, in the heart. Make sure not to miss.”
Seeing the fearless expression on Leo’s face, Morgan hesitated. His right hand, clutching the knife, began to tremble.
“What’s the matter? Not brave enough to do it? You dare to lust after my woman, and if you don’t kill me, you’ll be in for a world of pain,” Leo said, a cruel smile forming on his face.
This grin made Clarissa’s eyelids twitch, and she silently cursed: “He’s a real madman!”
Seeing that Morgan still hesitated, Leo reached out and grabbed his wrist. “Seems like you’re hesitating. Let me help.”
Morgan clung to the fruit knife tightly, and his right hand jerked back, his body simultaneously retreating.
Despite wanting to kill Leo after being beaten so badly, Morgan still held onto his rationality. If he killed someone in public, even the William family’s heir couldn’t save him.
The only outcome would be that he’d be thrown away like a useless pawn!
It was all Bruno’s lousy idea. Damn it, this guy wasn’t the useless son-in-law people thought he was; he was a demon!
Lydia, who was protecting Sophia on the side, watched Leo with admiration. For the woman he loved, he feared neither life nor death and dared to stand against the world. That’s what a real man with guts looked like.
“I gave you a chance, and since you’re not willing, that opportunity is gone,” Leo said coldly.
In an instant, Leo had somehow taken the fruit knife from Morgan’s hand. Then, with a swift motion of his right hand, a cold glint flashed.
“Ah…!” Morgan let out a blood-curdling scream.
The fruit knife had plunged into his thigh, and blood was gushing out.
Clarissa, standing nearby, had her mouth wide open in shock. She never expected Leo to dare to harm Morgan right in front of her.
In another cry of pain, Leo pulled the fruit knife out of Morgan’s thigh and stabbed it into his other thigh.
This time, Morgan’s scream turned hoarse.
The security guards who rushed into the room alongside Clarissa were chilled to the bone by the sight. They had seen their fair share of fights, but they had never encountered someone as ruthless as Leo.
With both legs injured, Morgan knelt in front of Leo.
“Do you even know who he is?” Clarissa asked Leo in a trembling voice.
“Whoever he is, daring to lay a hand on my woman, he’ll regret ever stepping into this world!” Leo’s authoritative voice echoed through the entire private room.
Leo held a fruit knife in his hand, wiping the fresh blood from it onto Morgan’s face. He spoke in an ice-cold tone, “You’ve got one minute. Speak your last words.”
Everyone in the private room was overwhelmed by Leo’s powerful presence. Some of the timid ones even began to tremble involuntarily.
“I am wrong. I was acting on someone else’s orders. Please spare me,” Leo’s ruthless demeanor had completely shattered Morgan’s mental defenses.
“Who ordered you to do this?” Leo’s voice was as cold as a knife piercing through Morgan’s heart.
He hurriedly replied, “It was Bruno, from the Breeze Cosmetics Company. He had me bring Sophia here under the pretext of a business partnership. He promised me five hundred thousand dollars if I slept with Sophia! Everything was orchestrated by Bruno; he’s the mastermind behind harming Sophia.”
To save his own life, Morgan half-truthfully exposed Bruno’s involvement. The reason it was half-truthful was that Morgan was a womanizer by nature, and Bruno had only suggested the idea.
Seeing Leo just coldly staring at him without saying a word, Morgan panicked and pleaded, “Sir, it’s really Bruno who arranged all this for me. Please, spare me.”
Morgan even started to cry.
Leo’s eyes narrowed when he heard the name. Bruno, even after having his legs broken, was still causing trouble. It seemed he wanted to experience the taste of being crippled.
Leo tossed the fruit knife to the ground and said coldly, “I’ll spare your worthless life. You better pray I never see you again.”
Hearing this, Morgan felt like he had been pardoned, collapsing to the ground in relief.
After dealing with Morgan, Leo took a few steps and stood in front of Clarissa.
Startled, Clarissa thought Leo was going to harm her and began to back away.
The security guards in the hotel, though intimidated by Leo’s presence, knew Clarissa was their boss. They had to step in to show their support. Or after today, they would have to pack up and leave.
Leo turned his icy gaze toward them, and with a single word, he said, “Get lost!”
They had already been intimidated by Leo’s presence, taking several steps back instinctively.
“W-w-what else do you want?” Clarissa stuttered, her fear making her speech falter.
Leo’s icy gaze pierced into her eyes. “This scum on the ground here has committed wrongdoing within this private room. As the owner, not only did you not intervene, but you also aided him. Do you think you should face consequences?”
“I… I admit I was wrong. I won’t dare to do this again,” Clarissa could only plead now that things had reached this point.
Leo sneered, “If apologizing could absolve all wrongdoings, this world would be filled with too many people willing to make mistakes. I’ll give you a chance to choose your punishment.”
Leo’s intimidation and threats infuriated Clarissa. “You, don’t push it too far. My background is not something you can afford to offend. I advise you to be sensible and leave with your woman!”
Leo took two steps forward and waved his right hand.
Clarissa was momentarily stunned, then she felt a sharp pain on her cheek and sensed some liquid flowing down.
She reached to touch her face, then looked at her hand.
“Ahh…!” A horrifying scream escaped Clarissa’s lips.
Clarissa had always been confident in her beauty, and her face was what she valued most. But now, her face had been disfigured.
Losing her sanity completely, Clarissa screamed and lunged at Leo.
Leo kicked her, sending her tumbling to the ground.
Tossing the fruit knife to the floor, Leo spoke calmly, “No matter how influential you think you are, if you aid and abet harm to my woman, you will pay the price!”
Clarissa covered her face with her hands and fainted.
