Chapter 238: Don’t Touch the Dragon’s Scales

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Listening to the security guard’s rambling, Leo couldn’t help but wonder if this guy had just escaped from a mental hospital. Having someone like this as a security guard was an insult to the profession.
The reason for the security guard’s behavior was somewhat understandable. First, he had seen plenty of luxury cars and wealthy people, and second, Leo wasn’t driving a fancy car and his outfit… well, it looked like something you’d find at a thrift store. So, under the influence of his unbalanced emotions, the security guard decided to vent his frustrations on Leo.
In the security guard’s eyes, Leo was probably trying to use this opportunity to infiltrate the upscale community, make contact with wealthy people, and maybe try to get close to someone rich.
He had seen this kind of situation many times before, and his team leader had specifically instructed them to kick out anyone like this without hesitation. The security guard had simplified things in his mind. Even if someone managed to infiltrate high society circles, if they lacked their own strength and background, who would pay them any attention?
Leo was not one to waste time arguing with people like this. He decided to cut to the chase. He floored the gas pedal, crashing through the security gate, and entered the parking area.
The security guard had never seen anyone crash through the gate like this before, and he was furious. He quickly grabbed his walkie-talkie and shouted, “Someone has rammed the gate and caused a scene in the parking lot! We need backup!”
Leo understood that arguing with the security guard was pointless, so he took the direct route, a bit rough perhaps.
He found a parking spot and parked the Mercedes-Benz, then got out of the car. As he was about to head toward the sales center, the security guard and his colleagues came running towards him.
“That’s the guy! Surround him!” The security guard who had been at the gate pointed at Leo.
He was now surrounded by six or seven security guards, all in uniform, and they were closing in on him rapidly.
“Can you believe this guy? Daring to break through the gate and the car barrier at Cloud Dream Mountain Villa? I think this guy is either crazy or he doesn’t want to live!”
“Smash his crappy car, and then throw him out of here to teach him a lesson!”
The security guards surrounding Leo continued to taunt and act brazenly.
One of the security guards held a brick in his hand and hurled it at the windshield of Leo’s Mercedes.
“Bang!”
The windshield shattered!
Another security guard pulled out a baton and started smashing the windows of the Mercedes.
Leo stared at them coldly as they vandalized his car, his eyes filled with a murderous intent. “Looks like you’re really itching to die.”
“Do you think you’re hot stuff for barging in like this? Let me tell you, your actions already constitute illegal entry. If you have the guts, call the police and see who gets in trouble!” The gatekeeper, though having smashed Leo’s car, showed no remorse.
In his opinion, he was in the right, and he wouldn’t have dared to vandalize the car if Leo hadn’t forcefully entered the area.
“Leo, I think I recognize this guy. I saw his photo online. He’s a gold digger, living off a wealthy woman!” one of the guards suddenly realized.
The security guard sneered, “A gold digger like him trying to act all high and mighty here? We’ve seen plenty of this type, and this year seems to have more of them.”
“Paddy, I bet he’s here because he can’t stand his life as a kept man, so he’s trying to latch onto a rich person and change his miserable situation!”
“This guy is unbelievable. He had a gorgeous woman right in front of him, and he managed to endure it for four years without even touching her finger!”
“What kind of man is that? Having a beautiful woman around and not making a move for four years?”
“I bet his wife has slept with many else men by now…”
The security guards, upon learning Leo’s identity as a freeloading son-in-law, became even more audacious. They continued to mock him relentlessly.
“You, kid, would you mind if I join in with your wife… Ah!!”
Before the security guard could finish his sentence, a piercing scream erupted, and his hefty body was sent flying. Then came a series of punches landing on flesh and bone. In less than ten seconds, all the security guards were lying on the ground.
Leo walked up to the security guard at the booth, then extended a foot to press down on one of his hands. The intense pain shot through his fingers, and the security guard trembled in fear, pleading, “Ah! It hurts! I-I’m sorry… I’m sorry…”
With a forceful stomp, Leo heard a bone-crushing snap as the security guard’s fingers shattered.
“Ah!!!” A wretched and horrifying scream echoed far and wide.
“Making mistakes doesn’t mean you can simply apologize and make everything right. People like you, who contribute nothing while alive and waste space when dead, are better off as cripples.”
As Leo uttered these cold and merciless words, the security guard was consumed by sheer terror. He couldn’t have imagined that an idle son-in-law like Leo possessed such brutal fighting skills. To call this man trash would be an insult-he was a demon.
Leo continued to press down on the security guard’s other hand, preparing to shatter his remaining fingers, when a voice behind him called out, “Please, spare him!”
“Ah!!!” Another heart-wrenching cry resonated in the distance.
Before the security guard could finish his sentence, a wailing scream echoed in the distance.
Leo’s violent reaction wasn’t just because they had smashed his car or insulted him; it was because they had insulted Sophia. That was Leo’s absolute taboo, something no one could touch.
The man behind him was the sales center’s manager, Robin Arnold. He realized the security guards had crossed a line and quickly introduced himself.
Leo looked at him with a cold expression but remained silent.
The security guard, fearing for his life, managed to stifle his pain temporarily and shouted, “Manager Arnold, this guy is a criminal! He forcefully broke through the gate and entered the premises. You should call the police!”
Manager Arnold lost his temper with him and gave him a swift kick. “You piece of trash! Who allowed you to speak? How dare you treat our guest like this! Your hands are broken, and you won’t be working here anymore. Get lost!”
The gatekeeper wore a pitiful expression, too afraid to utter another word, and began groaning in pain on the ground.
Manager Arnold then turned to Leo, forcing a smile. “Sir, may I have your name?”
“Bloomer,” Leo replied, his anger still evident.
“Mr. Bloomer, we sincerely apologize for the actions of our security guards. You are a guest here, and we should treat you with respect. Please allow me to assist you with your certification for the villa auction. Follow me.”
