Before the words could fully leave his lips, Leo extended his hand to stop him, then said, “Don’t speak. Let the people you brought here beat me.”
Scar was left bewildered. He had originally intended to apologize and then deal with Abraham, but now it seemed like a different act was playing out.
“Didn’t you hear what I said?” Leo’s tone turned progressively colder.
With a start, Scar suddenly realized what was going on and quickly turned to his men. “All of you, attack!”
Ten men, not even thirty seconds, and they were all lying on the ground, writhing in agony, just like the ones Leo had knocked down earlier.
At this moment, Abraham finally realized the trouble he had gotten himself into, and thoughts of wanting to die started to surface.
No, he had to kill the manager first. It was all this jerk’s fault!
The restaurant manager was equally vexed. If only he had seated them according to the reservation.
Unfortunately, there was no cure for regrets, and when you made a mistake, you had to face the consequences of your actions.
Leo approached Abraham, looking down at him with arrogance. “Anyone else left?”
In the face of absolute power, even though Abraham had licked blood off the blade before, he couldn’t help but feel a bit jittery.
He wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and looked at Scar with a pleading look.
Seeing Abraham’s silence, Leo raised his right hand and slapped him.
“Smack!”
Abraham was sent sprawling to the ground, a tooth flying out of his mouth, and his cheek immediately swelling up.
As he reached up to touch his cheek, Abraham saw numerous little stars spinning before his eyes.
Leo squatted down, smiling at Abraham and said, “I’m not done yet. Since you can’t get anyone to help you, I’ll have to do something about it.”
From the dizziness caused by the earlier slap, Abraham snapped back to reality and quickly looked at Scar, pleading, “Scar, help me!”
Scar looked at Abraham with indifference and thought: “Help you? Now, I’m just one of Leo’s guys!”
Leo stood up and walked towards the bewildered restaurant manager.
Seeing the icy look in Leo’s eyes, the manager was so scared that he sat down on the ground and begged for mercy, “Sir, I was wrong, spare me…”
“Now, let me ask you the same question again. Do you have a table available?”
The manager had been scared out of his wits, and he quickly replied, “Yes, the best table.”
“That’s good. Now, have the front desk waitress apologize to my wife.”
The manager got up from the ground and forcibly pulled over the front desk waitress, shouting, “Hurry up and apologize!”
The waitress, in excruciating pain from being pulled, stammered as she apologized to Sophia, “I-I’m sorry, I was wrong!”
Abraham, who had gotten up from the ground, looked at Scar’s face, which showed fear and respect for Leo. He suddenly understood. In the world of street smarts and power, even the formidable Scar was fearful of this young man!
What kind of person was this guy Leo?
Leo clapped his hands and said with a smile, “Alright, everyone, back to your posts. I don’t see anyone else coming in for a meal, so I’ll just take over the restaurant for now. Manager, give my wife and me the best table, and we can place our order.”
The manager didn’t move, but instead looked at Abraham.
“Why are you standing there? Do as the guest says!” Abraham had a strong urge to kill the manager now.
The restaurant manager led Leo and Sophia to a table by the window, and he himself became their waiter.
Abraham approached Scar and asked in a low voice, “Scar, what’s this guy’s identity?”
“His identity?” Scar gave him a sidelong glance. “Abraham, if you want to kill yourself, don’t drag me into it. I can tell you clearly, after seeing today, you’ve crossed the line with Mr. Bloomer. You probably don’t even know how you’re going to die!”
“Scar, is he from the Flying Dragon Business Association?” Abraham guessed.
In his mind, only someone from the Flying Dragon Business Association could be this powerful.
Scar sneaked a glance at Leo and whispered, “Do you know about the underground arena beneath the Flying Dragon Building?”
“I’ve heard of it.” Abraham was surprised. “Are you saying he’s connected to the underground arena?”
“No, the owner of the arena has already been wiped out by Mr. Bloomer,” Scar shook his head.
Hearing this, Abraham’s small eyes suddenly widened, and his mouth opened so wide that it could fit an egg.
Suddenly, Abraham rushed towards Leo and knelt at his feet.
The scene was as if time had frozen for a moment. Both the manager and the waitress in the restaurant stopped what they were doing and stared blankly at their big boss.
For a good while, everyone finally snapped out of it. The front desk waitress and the restaurant manager looked at Leo with nothing but fear in their eyes.
What they had witnessed today, they were likely never going to forget for the rest of their lives.
Abraham began to kowtow, apologizing, “Mr. Bloomer, I was wrong… Mr. Bloomer, I was wrong…”
“Get up and stop affecting my meal,” Leo scolded.
“Okay.” Abraham got up.
The food was quickly brought to the table. Sophia rested her chin on her hands and stared at Leo strangely, making him feel a bit uncomfortable.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Did I suddenly become handsome again?” Leo touched his own face, teasingly.
“Leo, today’s situation, money may not be enough to resolve it, do you think you should explain it to me?” Sophia wasn’t naive. Making someone from the streets kneel down meant he felt his life was in danger.
Furthermore, even Scar, in front of Leo, dared not utter a word. This was definitely beyond what money could achieve.
Leo smiled and said, “When dealing with these people, as long as your fists are stronger, they’ll obediently fall in line.”
Sophia immediately disagreed, “A man’s pride is precious. For these streetwise thugs, sometimes dignity is even more important than life itself. Even if they can’t beat you, they won’t kneel and apologize. Are you really not going to tell me the truth?”
For a woman, it was better to know as little as possible about things that didn’t grow in the sunlight. So Leo stalled, “Sophia, some things are hard to explain in the short term. I’ll tell you slowly in the future.”
Everyone has their own privacy. Since Leo didn’t want to say it, Sophia thought about it for a moment and decided not to pursue it further. She changed the subject, “One last question before we go. How did you become so good at fighting?”
“I…” Leo hadn’t finished his sentence when Sophia interrupted, “Don’t tell me you learned it on your own!”
“No, three years ago, I happened to meet a strange old man, and he taught me some kung fu.”
