Watching the man’s reaction, Dr. Rudolph understood that his medical skills fell far short compared to this young man. Today’s medical competition had ended in his complete defeat.
Seeing her husband fully recovered, the woman knelt in front of Leo with an excited and slightly choked voice, “Doctor, thank you for saving my husband. Please accept my gratitude.”
Seeing the woman about to kowtow to him, Leo quickly reached out to help her up. “Healing the sick and saving lives is the essence of medicine. You don’t need to do this.”
After the woman got up, Leo handed them the prescription that Dr. Rudolph had written earlier and instructed, “While your illness is cured, your body still needs some care. Follow this prescription, take the medicine three times a day for a week.”
The couple received the prescription with gratitude.
Only Dr. Rudolph knew that since the man’s illness had already been cured, the prescription he had just given them was no longer necessary. Leo was doing this to save his face. Dr. Rudolph had grown to admire Leo not only for his medical skills but also for his compassion.
The onlookers finally came to their senses and rushed forward to ask Leo for his contact information. Getting to know such a miraculous doctor meant they would have help in case of any difficult diseases in the future.
After everyone left, Bob went to get the medicine. Since he was Leo’s friend, Healnature Clinic provided him with a month’s worth of medicine for free.
Leo exchanged contact information with Dr. Rudolph, and just as Leo and Bob were preparing to leave, Leo’s phone rang. It was a call from Sophia.
“Leo, where are you?” Sophia’s voice sounded pleasant, but Leo could sense a hint of nervousness.
“I’m at Healnature Clinic,” Leo replied.
“Why are you at Healnature Clinic? Something has come up here. Can you come over for a while?” Sophia’s tone carried a touch of embarrassment, as today Jessica had forbidden Leo from attending this family gathering.
Leo knew Sophia was likely facing some trouble, so he agreed, saying, “Give me the address, and I’ll come over right away.”
After hanging up the phone, Sophia sent Leo the address and the room number.
After leaving Healnature Clinic and parting ways with Bob, Leo called Scar and asked him to send some people to check on what was happening in the No. 5 room of the Starlight Hotel where Sophia was. Then, Leo would join them.
On the other hand, after sending Leo the address, Sophia put her phone away.
Seeing her daughter calling Leo for help, Jessica suggested, “Sophia, should I call your grandmother for help? It might be safer.”
“Mom, there’s no need. I trust Leo to handle this,” Sophia replied with confidence in Leo.
Sophia’s unwavering trust in Leo left Jessica somewhat puzzled, and she didn’t know what to say for a moment.
Barry, on the other hand, observed Sophia and couldn’t fathom how that useless son-in-law of this family could handle the situation. Leo’s arrival would surely result in a severe beating.
In Room No. 3.
Stan raised his glass and toasted the person across from him, saying, “Scar, you’ve even taken down Philip. I admire you greatly. Once you completely integrate Philip’s forces, you’ll have control over Langstel. You better look after me.”
Scar remained composed and calm, but he couldn’t help but smile wryly. Stan’s flattery would have been spot-on if it weren’t for Leo helping Bob take down Noah.
Scar knew Bob would eventually make a comeback. With Bob’s experience and skills, no one could surpass him.
Scar raised his glass to toast Stan and replied, “In the future, just follow me, and I won’t let you down.”
Stan downed his drink in one gulp and laughed, “Scar, I’ll be under your guidance from now on. Whatever you say, I’ll do!”
In Scar’s view, Stan had potential and could be nurtured.
Stan handed Scar a refill of wine, and Scar’s phone rang.
After hanging up the phone, Scar’s face darkened slightly as he looked at Stan and asked, “Where did you go for a while just now?”
“Some idiot was harassing my woman, so I taught him a lesson,” Stan replied, not understanding why Scar was suddenly interested. However, he answered truthfully.
Scar’s expression grew even more serious. “Which room was this person in?”
Seeing Scar’s strange demeanor, Stan felt a sense of unease and replied, “Room… Room number five. Scar, what’s going on?”
Unexpectedly, Scar abruptly stood up from his chair and walked out of the room.
“Scar, where are you going?” Stan grew anxious. If Scar discovered the beautiful woman in room number five, Stan might lose his chance.
The two men guarding the entrance of room number five saw Scar approaching and respectfully greeted him.
Scar signaled for them to step aside and then peeked inside the room. When he saw Sophia, his heart skipped a beat.
Returning to room number three, Scar ordered Stan, “Bring all your men here.”
Stan was puzzled by Scar’s strange behavior but obeyed his orders, gathering his four men in Room No. 3.
Scar had Stan and his men line up against the wall.
Stan was getting anxious. “Scar, did I do something wrong? What’s going on?”
Stan thought that Scar’s behavior was due to him not sharing the beautiful woman named Sophia.
“Wait,” Scar said coldly. He then took a seat at the dining table and poured himself a drink.
“Wait for what?” Stan asked.
“You’ll find out soon enough,” Scar replied.
About twenty minutes later, Leo arrived at the Starlight Hotel and called Scar. Scar instructed him to come to Room No. 3.
When the door to the room opened, Scar stood up respectfully and greeted, “Mr. Bloomer.”
Seeing the person who had entered, and hearing Scar’s address, Stan was taken aback. Stan was sure he had never seen this guy before, but Scar’s attitude and tone towards him seemed strange.
“Scar, who’s the guy who just came in?” Stan couldn’t help but ask.
Scar turned and glared at him, his voice cold and stern, “Shut your mouth. If I didn’t ask you to speak, then don’t speak!”
