Chapter 210: Healnature Clinic

Entering the villa’s living room, the Martin couple welcomed them with smiles as they rose from the couch.
“You must be tired from your journey. Please have a seat,” Jessica warmly invited the three to sit on the couch and instructed Leo to prepare some tea.
As they settled down, Monica sighed with a worried expression.
“Monica, what’s the matter?” Jessica asked, puzzled.
“Jessica, personally, I suggest you stop letting Leo drive your car,” Monica said casually, her face showing no hint of embarrassment.
Jessica was taken aback. “Why?”
“Outside the neighborhood, I don’t know what your son-in-law was daydreaming about, but he managed to get the car into an accident,” Monica said, her expression a picture of regret.
Jessica gasped: “Crash? Are you all right?”
“We did not have anything wrong, but the front of the car was damaged. Although your family is not poor, but what a pity of such a beautiful car being damaged.” Monica made a sad look on her face.
Jessica glanced over at Leo, who was busy making tea, her mind filled with confusion. Leo had been driving the Mercedes for years, mainly to pick up Sophia from work and buy groceries. There had never been an accident in those four years, so why did it happen suddenly today?
Could Leo have done it on purpose? To scare her brother and his family?
With a scapegoat at hand, Barry, who had been concerned earlier, now felt relieved and pointed at Leo, saying, “Auntie, my mom is absolutely right. I’ve heard that a son-in-law like him should only be allowed to ride an electric scooter. You should consider not letting him drive the Mercedes again.”
Jessica understood the acridness of this family of three and pretended to agree.
When Sophia returned, the Martin couple decided to dine in a restaurant to welcome Keith’s family. Jessica turned to Leo and said, “Leo, you can have your dinner at home and also clean up the house.”
“Sure,” Leo replied.
To be honest, Leo had no interest in having dinner with Keith’s family. It would only ruin his appetite.
Keith teased, “Leo, as a son-in-law who married into the family, you must obey your mother-in-law. You’re doing a good job in that aspect, and it’s worth encouraging.”
Sophia walked up to Leo, looking at his calm expression with some sympathy, and said to Jessica, “Mom, if you don’t let Leo go, I won’t go either.”
Jessica’s face turned a bit sour at her daughter’s words, especially with relatives present.
Why was Sophia suddenly so protective of Leo?
“Sophia, you go and have dinner. Don’t worry about me. I have something to do later and need to go out,” Leo reassured her.
With Leo’s persuasion, Sophia followed them out of the villa.
Martin drove his Honda from the underground garage, with Jessica and Keith, while Sophia drove with Monica and her son, Barry.
To show their hospitality for Keith’s family, Jessica had reserved a quiet private room in a five-star hotel and ordered a delicious meal.
As for Leo, he made himself something to eat at home and then made a phone call to Bob.
Bob told Leo that he had just left and was heading to the Healnature Clinic on Youth Road to get some herbs.
Leo left his home and called a cab to go to the Healnature Clinic.
Outside the clinic, the two men bumped into each other.
They crouched by the street, and Bob offered Leo a cigarette. They watched the traffic pass by as they smoked.
“I haven’t properly thanked you for what you did for my wife,” Bob said after exhaling a smoke ring, speaking earnestly.
“Save your thanks for later. You should focus on taking care of your wife. How is her health now?” Leo asked.
“Thanks to the medicine you prescribed, she’s almost completely recovered. Today, I came to Healnature Clinic for one last batch of herbs. To be honest, I’ve always thought you weren’t ordinary. Besides, your miraculous medical skills surprised me,” Bob said.
“What are your plans for the future?” Leo asked.
“Noah is finished now. After this incident, I’ve come to a realization that only being powerful enough can you protect the people you love. So, I’ve decided to reclaim everything I once gave up!” Bob’s eyes gleamed with determination.
As Leo had expected, the blow from this incident had prompted the formerly retired Bob to return to the fray.
“Now that you’ve made up your mind, go ahead and do what you need to do,” Leo said.
“Rest assured, if you ever need my help, just ask,” Bob promised.
“Don’t worry; if I ever encounter difficulties, you’ll be the first person I turn to,” Leo smiled. “By the way, will you still run your convenience store?”
“Of course. My wife and I are running it together,” Bob said, with a hint of excitement in his eyes.
Leo stood up from the ground. “Let’s go. We’ll buy the medicine from Healnature Clinic.”
Although his Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic had already opened for business, Leo still wanted to learn more about other traditional Chinese medicine clinics.
This Healnature Clinic on Youth Road was considered a well-established business that had been around for decades. It occupied a prime location and had a high-end interior.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that, apart from Dr. Lee’s clinic, this Healnature Clinic was one of the most famous traditional Chinese medicine clinics in Langstel.
Today, the clinic was quite lively due to a promotional event. Both medical consultations and herbal medicines were discounted by twenty percent.
As Leo and Bob entered the clinic, they noticed a young man in traditional Chinese medical attire who kept glancing at Leo.
Leo found it strange. Could the guy think he’s handsome?
Leo also noticed that the young man was talking to the clinic’s owner, the elderly doctor, Dr. Rudolph.
Dr. Rudolph examined Leo from head to toe and then walked straight toward him, with the young man following.
“May I inquire if you are Mr. Leo Bloomer of the Nameless Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic?” Dr. Rudolph asked politely.
Leo was somewhat surprised. When did his reputation become so widespread? He didn’t even know about it.
He nodded.
Dr. Rudolph suddenly brightened up. “Mr. Bloomer, I heard from my apprentice that your medical skills are extremely advanced. You cured Dr. Davy’s daughter’s legs, which is something I greatly admire. Since you’ve honored my clinic with your presence today, why don’t you demonstrate your medical skills? It would be an eye-opener for me, don’t you think?”
Although Dr. Rudolph’s words seemed to be praising Leo, there was an undertone of provocation.
If Dr. Rudolph had a flaw, it would be his competitiveness.
Despite his age, it hard to change his personality. Coupled with Leo’s young age, he found it hard to believe that Leo had cured Dr. Davy’s daughter’s legs.
